Courtyard by Marriott Changchun - Executive Lounge and Breakfast Experience

The hotel's all-day restaurant is on the 2nd floor. It's quite large. There's no service when you swipe your card to enter. The food is average for a Courtyard by Marriott. 1⃣ There are noodles and rice noodles, but no toppings. I ordered a bowl of wontons, which were okay. The soup was flavorful. 2⃣ There are 6 Chinese hot dishes and 2 types of staple food. The tofu skin was oily and sticky, but the other dishes were surprisingly good. The pickled cabbage and pork, stir-fried mung bean sprouts, and snow peas were especially tender. However, there didn't seem to be any cold dishes. 3⃣ The egg station had fried eggs and tea eggs. The Western hot dishes were basic, but the ingredients were surprisingly good. The cherry tomatoes were sweet and sour, and the black pepper king oyster mushrooms were fresh and tender. The seasoning was also good. They were much better than the usual deep-fried mushrooms. 4⃣ The bakery had leftover mooncakes from the Mid-Autumn Festival. They were average. The waffles were the hardest I've ever had. The chocolate cream-filled bread was good. The croissants were average. The pancakes were okay. 5⃣ There weren't many drinks or juices. The fruit and salad were average. You can fill up on vegetables. The vegetables were good quality. The hotel's lounge is on the 21st floor. It's quite large. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer a clear view of the busy traffic on the nearby overpass. It's currently only open from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. You can get soft drinks at the lobby bar at other times. The food was average. There were 4 hot dishes and 2 types of staple food. The hot dishes were a strange mix of Chinese and Western. For example, the fried chicken was braised, the mashed potatoes were topped with braised soy sauce and spring onions, and the stir-fried pasta was seasoned with Chinese spices. The kitchen's creativity was a bit strange and unappetizing. The pickled cabbage and pork was the same as at breakfast. It was okay. The cold dishes included tofu, which was sticky and possibly spoiled. I tried it but didn't dare to eat any more. The only decent dish was the corn and pork rib soup. The pork ribs were good. The soup was sweet and refreshing. I had a few bowls. The drinks were basic. There weren't many spirits. The beer was Harbin and Budweiser. There was no service in the lounge. It was self-service. Overall, the food was just passable for a Courtyard by Marriott. The lobby bar's all-day soft drink service was good. It's open from 9am to 9pm. I went to the gym and finished around 10pm. The bar was still open and they gave me a drink. The bar was recently renovated and now serves Starbucks coffee. However, it's not included in the executive benefits. You have to pay for it yourself. This is not as good as the InterContinental Tianjin.
