It was indeed chasing waterfalls

Another waterfall on the Bolaven Plateau is Tad Yuang Falls, often written Tad Gneuang. It is located 10 kilometers west of Paksong and two kilometers east of the Tad Fan Falls. The falls are smaller than Tad Fan and plunge 40 meters into a pool. Unlike Tad Fan, however, swimming in the pools above and below the falls is feasible, though caution should be exercised due to strong currents. At the top, middle, and bottom of the gorge, there is a trail with several lookouts. A picnic spot is located at the top of the falls, and a small coffee plantation may be explored nearby.
