Don't get it wrong, this is not Boston University, it's Boston College. Its undergraduate ranking and acceptance rate are higher than Boston University's. Founded in 1863, it is a private research university and a Catholic university, a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference, located in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. Boston College has a long history and is known as the 'Jesuit Ivy' and one of the 'New Ivies.' Initially, Boston College was an undergraduate liberal arts college, later adding graduate programs and professional schools to fulfill its university charter. It now has 9 schools and approximately 3 million volumes in its libraries. In the 2023 U.S. News Best Colleges rankings, Boston College is ranked 36th. In the U.S. News Best Undergraduate Teaching rankings, it is tied for 5th with Dartmouth College. The campus is beautiful, quiet, and safe.
