This is my 7th visit to the palace this year. There are a lot fewer people in the off-season now. This is the best experience. Taking advantage of the lack of crowds, I deliberately walked along the central axis to see the three main halls, the Clock and Clock Hall, and the Treasure Hall. I had not dared to walk this route for several years, and my vague memories became clear again. I hope it will snow before the end of the month. It would be perfect to take pictures of the snow scene of the Forbidden City. Although the annual pass has paid back, I don’t want to waste it in vain. I originally wanted to go next door to see the golden nanmu pillars in the Imperial Ancestral Temple, which are said to be worth 2.7 billion, but I had to give up because of a dull pain in my right foot.
