A small city with, but rich in history

I had the pleasure of being in Basel, Switzerland a couple of months back, and the city is an outdoor Museum, to say the least. The mix and prevalence of Roman, Italian, French, and German influences are present in every building and monument, yet everything feels in place and works in synchronization to create something that is uniquely Swiss and Basel. When visiting, please be aware that the majority of the restaurants and public facilities are usually closed on Sundays, and even finding pharmacies and grocery stores can be a challenge, but in a pinch, the train station should have somethings open. #basel #switzerland
