‼️Discovered a hidden gem homestay on West Street in Baoding! It’s right on the pedestrian street full of Republic of China era charm. ✅Experience Notes Baoding’s West Street is a cultural pedestrian street with preserved and renovated Republic of China style. The east section mainly features cultural creativity and time-honored brands, while the west section focuses on snacks and dining. There are only two homestays on the entire West Street, and Dingyao Culture Homestay is located in the east section. Dingyao Culture Homestay, the Dingyao Museum, and the nearby teahouse are all run by the homestay owner. When checking in during the day, we also saw many children experiencing Dingyao pottery art. The homestay is a small courtyard with winding paths leading to a quiet retreat. Stepping in from the bustling and noisy West Street, it instantly becomes peaceful—a perfect place to find tranquility amid the hustle and bustle. The homestay has only ten guest rooms, so it’s often fully booked. The rooms are not large but are elegantly and warmly designed, with carefully selected amenities. The courtyard displays Dingyao porcelain exhibits and hosts tea brewing activities around a stove. Right outside the homestay’s door is West Street, making it very convenient for shopping, eating, and sightseeing. It’s close to the Zhili Governor’s Office, Lianchi Academy, Catholic Church, and Bell Tower—all can be toured in half a day. Since you’re staying on West Street, you can stroll around late into the night and even hang out at the nearby Feilongcui Coffee until closing time. I didn’t expect Baoding to have such a refined homestay in such a great location.
