Yixing in Jiangsu was advertised with the roadside paintings as a stunning bamboo forest that was very foggy. (Pic5) and Yixing was literally a stunning bamboo forest national park with ridiculous amounts of fog both days we were there. The area is lovely with little restaurants and b&b's plus a couple big hotels near the national park entrance. We stayed at the Bamboo international hotel and it was superb, they were accepting of our road bikes and breakfast was an array of Chinese foods. In the evenings we tried the local restaurants and they were cosy and all had lots of bamboo, potato and pork dishes. On our second day we went into the national park and went up a very long cableway (potentially 30mins). The higher we went the less we could see, but it was fun to walk around the peaks in thick fog and kinda eerie. The lakes and scenery are beautiful and I will return in the future in hope of a slightly clearer day. Getting There- Self-drive, Taxi, tour bus or cycle. The roads are steep and very tight, great for cyclists who love mountain climbing as there wasn't much traffic.

a while ago I was privileged enough to visit this lovely park. this place is called the bamboo forest because the whole area is filled with so many bamboo trees and thus makes it such a great experience. the only thing I would have loved to see would be the cute pandas but unfortunately this area doesn’t have any. This place is actually located in a small county just outside Wuxi in Jiangsu province and I was able to visit this spot with a bunch of amazing photographers and capture the beauty of this place. another cool thing you could do here is to hike. there is a hill which is not too high, so it’s not such a tough hike but at the top, you have an amazing view, and also there’s a temple at the top and a gong that you might be able to ring. this was such an amazing experience for me and I recommend everyone to try this.#momentsmission #travelinspiration #scenicspotguide #decembertravel #naturalwonders #nationalpark

But it allowed me to witness the stunning night view of Yaohu Town🎑! 👉Suggested itinerary for the town: DAY 1: ➡Take the Cloud Train from the visitor center (several train models operate in rotation🔄, some are enclosed carriages, and some are open. I added a shop owner on WeChat who sells Yixing clay teapot fridge magnets. She said this is the first year for Yixing tourism. I originally wanted to go to Kiln Lake Town, but it was too popular and there were no rooms available. No worries, I visited the trendy Taoerchang instead. Even on the ninth day of the Lunar New Year, there were still quite a few people. The market was gone, and you could see that many shops weren't fully set up yet. But it's a really photogenic place, and it's a very short and pleasant walk from Taoerchang to Shushan Ancient South Street. I only passed through Yixing briefly, but I really liked it. The clay teapot fridge magnets are also super cute. I'll definitely go back. PS: The museum isn't fully developed yet, with a limited collection. Currently, it's not really worth buying a ticket to go inside (unless you're an artist). Taking photos outside is more than enough.

Later, we took the train back and walked around the town at night. After a ten-minute stroll, we reached Shehuo Square for the evening performances. The shows began at 18:30 with the fire skirt performance, followed by a musical bonfire at 19:20, and the grand finale was a dragon-shaped water music fountain show at 20:00.
