Gaze at Mount Fuji from afar and feel its ancient tranquility. Since its opening, it has been extremely popular. When you open the hotel door, you will see plants of different heights. Yamanakako Lake is one of the five lakes surrounding Mount Fuji (and the largest one). We visited in mid-April. On clear mornings, you can see the reflection of Mount Fuji on the water's surface. It's incredibly beautiful. Another must-do activity is cycling around the lake. The cool weather and stunning views are truly impressive. For laid-back travelers who want to enjoy a full view of Mount Fuji in a peaceful atmosphere, this is the place to be. You won't be disappointed. Travel: We rented a car for our trip. Thai tourists can use an international driving permit to rent a car in Japan. Tips: - If you have time, consider staying overnight. The early morning atmosphere is really wonderful. - Yamanakako Lake is quieter than Kawaguchiko Lake. For those who prefer a tranquil environment, this is the place to stay.

My favorite thing about this trip is this first picture (I will recommend a route without turning back later, save it for yourself) This stay: Hotel New Century (Mount Fuji in Figure 2-3 was taken from the room in the early morning) Most accommodations near Lake Kawaguchi provide free pick-up and drop-off services (hotel＜->Lake Kawaguchi Station). If you make good use of this service, there will be no hindrance to your trip to Mount Fuji! The biggest problem without self-driving: You have to accurately calculate the bus and itinerary arrangements. It is undeniable that you need to do your homework in advance ~ (but the bus arrival time on Google Maps in Japan is very punctual, so even if there is no timetable, don’t be nervous) Lake Kawaguchi-Lake Yamanaka 📍Wait for the bus at stop number 6 of Kawaguchiko Station (Picture 8-9) There are sightseeing buses F1/F2 at this station that stop at every scenic spot, but I took a regular bus and got off at Asahigaoka (about 40 minutes). I walked to the opposite side and fed the swans (Picture 4), and then walked slowly Go back to the entrance of the tourist center and wait for F1/2, then take the tourist attraction - Hiranohama (Picture 5-6). Anyway, walk around the lake, play and take photos. If you feel tired, just check the bus time and stop location on Google Map. You can take a ride to the next scenic spot. In fact, you can have something to eat or take out a drink at The Park along the way along Lake Yamanaka. You can take a slow walk to Shiratorihama to watch the uncle feeding the swans and take photos while walking, and then walk to Deguchiyama-iriguchi Station. Romantic. I want to go back again. Walking around the lake was a great experience, and we were lucky with the weather, so the view of Mount Fuji that day was clear and fantastic. The late cafe had a great view and offered good food and coffee. There was also a 7-11 next to the lake, with all my favorite food and drinks, along with a great latte from the self-service machine ;) First of all, the area is probably one of the best places to take really candid photos of Mount Fuji from below. There are also a few very nice hot springs (onsen) in the restaurants, which offer a lot of diversity and a wonderful break experience. The lake itself was very beautiful just to wander around and enjoy the scenery, so if you plan to stay overnight, it would be worth staying somewhere close to the shore. This is my second self-drive holiday trip to Lake Yamanaka. You can get the opportunity to take breathtaking photos of Mount Fuji around the lake. Drive slowly, stop and enjoy the scenery. You can go on a swan boat cruise. There is a black sand beach where you can stop, buy snacks, and feed the huge fish in the lake with breadcrumbs. They come up to the shore. Then drive to nearby Lake Kawaguchi.

It was around 9 o'clock when we arrived at Mount Fuji. This time we went to some scenic spots that we didn't go to last time. My route: Tokyo - Lawson Convenience Store - Oishi Park - McDonald's - Yamanakako - The park lunch - Asagiri Park - Makaino Farm - Tokyo. I recommend everyone to go to McDonald’s to take pictures of Mount Fuji 🍟 Rosen is so bad, hahaha, no one took pictures of McDonald’s! Take photos as you like📷 Then I must take pictures of swans when I go to Yamanakako🦢Although I still didn’t take pictures of swans the second time I went there hahaha🤣 The last two places were recommended by others. It is said that it is the highest of the Fuji Five Lakes, at about 1000m above sea level. R GARDEN is located about a 5-minute walk from the shore of Lake Yamanaka. The temperature is lower than in Tokyo during the day, and the breeze is pleasant, so I was surprised at how comfortable it was.... It's been a while since I stayed in a cabin, but I was happy that the bed was spacious, and the kitchen, toilet, and bathroom were all fully equipped. The interior, which is designed with a monotone theme, is slightly different depending on the room! It's so stylish and stylish that it's like a model room🥲💓I want to live there... And there are rooms with hammocks inside...! 3 minutes by car from Yamanakako IC. Located on the shores of Lake Yamanaka, one of the Fuji Five Lakes, Mos Camp Field is a campsite created by a flower farmer, with a great view of Mt. Fuji right in front of you. Moreover, it is located in what can be called the center of Lake Yamanaka, and there are many large supermarkets, day-trip hot springs, convenience stores, and restaurants, so it is very convenient. The campsite plans consist of three types of auto sites, cabins, and trailer houses. The facilities include toilets, a management building, showers (unlimited use), and a kitchen, all of which are new and very well maintained. This time, we chose the Botanical plan, which is located in front of the green plaza, among the auto sites. The location, where Mt. Fuji stands out across the green, is recommended for those who want to see Mt. Fuji. There are two rows here, with divided sites next to the plaza and behind it, and the sites are first come first served. If you want to secure a spot next to the plaza, it is essential to check in early. On the day, even though it was clear, Mt. Fuji was covered in clouds on the top and the whole area, so it was difficult to see its majestic figure, but just after sunrise, we could see the beautiful red Fuji. Hanato Park is located in Yamanakako Village, Yamanashi Prefecture, about 30 minutes by bus from Fujikyu Line Fujisan Station. The park is divided into free and paid areas, which have large flower fields covering 300,000 square meters. And with an all-weather temperature-controlled greenhouse environment and ample water supply, the tropical plants and orchids of Hechen can be enjoyed here all year round. We probably came around mid-July and the whole hilltop was covered with centipedes. Booked 3 stays in my current Japan trip and this was my second accommodation. Location: Sun Plaza Hotel Fuji Yamanakako, 1445-1 Yamanaka, Yamanakako, Minamitsuru District, Yamanashi 401-0501 Location: 20-30 minutes bus ride from Mt. Fuji station. This small town was located beside one of the 5 lakes around Mt. Fuji. This area was more popular with local tourist and tour groups from China. We notice people only frequent here in the morning and by evening the whole places becomes a ghost town. Also to add the fact that we were here during the Japan Golden week, many of the food stores were closed so we had to settle for convinient store food. There is a bicycle store outside the hotel that you can rent for ¥700/hr, or down the road at ¥2000/half day. Cycle to the Flower garden just 10minutes away to enjoy a beautiful view of flower field and mt. fuji in the background. Price and amenities The room was equipped with basic goodies - toiletries, bidet and drinking water, Yukata, slippers and comb. The room was huge but very weird design and used of space. Other that the toolet bowl, the rest of the room was outdated and old. The bed was decently soft and pillow was solid hard. The TV turns on automatically at 6am everyday so we didn't get a goodnight sleep throughout the stay. The saving grace was the public bath! For the female onsen, we had collagen skin peel and pearl moisturiser that left my skin super soft! I was breaking out but after my visit to the onsen, my skin feels great! Check in and check out was easy and fast and they staffs were very friendly and helpful. Overall a decent stay! Definitely give this place a try if you're visiting Yamanakako for the first time, but do avoid any Japanese holiday period. #Yamanakako #mountfuji #japan

It is said that Mount Fuji rewards early risers. Compared to Lake Kawaguchiko, I prefer Lake Yamanaka. Although there was no "reverse Fuji," I was already very satisfied. There was sunrise, swans, and Mount Fuji. 🚗6:30 Hirano Lakeside (Hirano no Hama) Took a taxi to Hirano no Hama. There were swans, sunrise, and Mount Fuji. 🚴10:00 Shiratori-hama After 7:00, there's a bus. Took the bus back to the hotel and rented a bicycle with electric assist. It wasn't tiring. Cycling around the lake took 2 hours. Gave up on "the park" as it opens at 11:00 and there were already many people waiting for viewing spots at 10:00. But actually, just a little bit past "the park," the scenery was also amazing. There's no need to wait specifically. After cycling around the lake, had brunch at Denny's. In the afternoon, took a bus to Lake Kawaguchiko. A perfect day. ❗️Tips The lake bus only starts running at 7:00. To see the sunrise early, you need to take a taxi or stay near Hirano. There are swans in many places, especially at Shiratori-hama, and also at Hirano. Bicycle rentals are available from 9:00 for JPY 2,000 for two hours. Rented from an elderly gentleman near Shiratori-hama. Two hours is enough to cycle around the lake and take photos. You can choose a hotel in Hirano or near a bus stop, which is very convenient.

Sunrise viewing spot: Yamanakako Hirano Beach. It is strongly recommended to stay nearby for one night. Before coming, remember to check the visibility. Don't come if it's too low; it will be foggy. Wake up at 6 a.m. to watch the sunrise, then go back to the hotel for a nap. It wasn't too crowded. We took photos using a mobile phone tripod. In the photos, we are standing on a small piece of land in the lake. To get there, you need to cross a small puddle. It's not deep, but it's best to wear boots, otherwise, your shoes will get wet. This way, you can capture the reflection of Mount Fuji. Accommodation: Booking a hotel in advance is cost-effective. We booked Suyuezhuang half a month in advance for 500 per night. You can see Mount Fuji just around the corner from the hotel (It is recommended to book a cancellable hotel in advance, so you can cancel if the weather is really bad). Transportation: If you're taking a highway bus to Mount Fuji, it's best to buy tickets at the Shinjuku bus station one day in advance. When we went to buy tickets that afternoon, only buses after 4 p.m. were available, so we had to take the train. Our route was Shinjuku - Takaosanguchi - Otsuki - Kawaguchiko. We passed by Mount Fuji Station, and it was a pleasant surprise to see Mount Fuji from the train window! Then we took a bus from Kawaguchiko to Yamanakako. Also! The hotel we stayed at required a transfer to Hirano Station from Yamanakako Station, but the buses to Hirano stop running around 4-5 p.m. This meant that after we got off at the transfer station, there were no more buses, so we had to take an expensive taxi, 2800 yen for a 10-minute ride. 📍 Itinerary Overview The hotel with tatami rooms offer two meals per day. So we don't really have to worry about being unable to find food. It's 10 min walk to the lakeside. There is an ancient shrine on the way to the lakeside. 🚩 Sightseeing Route You can either observe #mtfuji at the top floor of the hotel in a indoor observation room. Or head outside by walk in the early morning to get to the lake side to embrace the panoramic view of Mt. Fuji reflection on the lake. 🚇 Transportation There is a bus stop just outside the hotel. Finally made it to Japan last month. When we stayed at a hotel near Lake Yamanaka, the food, the view and everything was so perfect. Not to mention that Mt. Fuji was viewable the whole day from the sunrise to sunset. In winter, if you are lucky and the weather condition is fine, rise at 05:00 and head outside for a pinky Mt. There are few restaurants around Lake Yamanaka (there is a 7-11 near Shiratori Beach, you can buy food there in advance) 2. If you stay at Lake Kawaguchi, it is inconvenient to take a bus, and it is also far to ride a bike! The road to Lake Yamanaka is a bit dangerous, and the lane is narrow! ⚠️⚠️⚠️ Be careful! 3.
