Trip to Hamburg 🇩🇪
It was a short weekend trip to Hamburg, Germany 🇩🇪
We started our trip by visiting Rathaus (Hamburg City Hall). It was built between 1886 and 1897, this Neo-Renaissance building serves as the seat of the government of Hamburg. It stands on over 4,000 oak piles. We joined a guided tour to explore the grand halls and learnt about Hamburg's political history.
📍Rathausmarkt 1, 20095 Hamburg, Germany.
💰Around €5 for guided tours.
We also strolled around St. Michael's Church (Michel). A symbol of Hamburg, this Baroque church was originally built in the 17th century. It has been rebuilt several times due to fires and wars. We climbed to the tower for stunning views over the city and the harbor.

We ordered Labskaus** (a traditional sailor's dish with corned beef, potatoes, onions, beetroot, and a fried egg), Matjesfilet (marinated herring), and Grünkohl mit Pinkel** (kale with smoked sausage) which were all very delicious.
