We started from Rome's Termini, taking the train to Orvieto first. After getting off the train, there's a bar on the right where you can buy tickets for the blue Cotral bus 🎫. It's recommended to buy round-trip tickets at the same time. Orvieto—Bagnoregio (Sky City) There's a bus stop opposite the train station 🚉. Check the official website in advance for the day's departures 🚌, as it doesn't run on Sundays. The last return bus is at 17:25 🕙. Allow at least half an hour to get back to the bus station from Bagnoregio. If you plan to explore the town of Orvieto, it's recommended to do so after Bagnoregio ⛰️. The return bus goes directly to the last stop. After exploring, you need to take the cable car back to the Orvieto station 🚠, which costs €1.30 💶. You can buy tickets at the cable car station.

Pick-up in Rome at 7:30 a.m. was perfectly on schedule. The tour bus stood out—it was very new and spotlessly clean. The tour guide was exceptionally knowledgeable, keeping the entire day engaging and enjoyable. The walk to Civita di Bagnoregio during the midday heat does require a decent level of fitness due to its steep and lengthy path. However, the views and exploring the old town fully justify the effort—it's absolutely stunning. Lunch at the Vineyard farmhouse was superb, offering a delightful experience. In the afternoon, we visited Piazza, where the old town, cathedral, and the Pope's residence proved to be well worth exploring. Overall, a fantastic day facilitated by an outstanding tour company.
