Closed when I arrived, mum not happy to see me, opened up, showed me to my room that was not made up. Very poor quality room, I helped make the bed. Only one sheet for the bed. 15 minutes later, dad showed up ( whilst I was online looking for alternate accommodation), and showed me a different room up stairs, out the back, that was better. I waited while the bedding was moved from the first room to the second room. Again helped make the bed, I had to negotiate to get a top sheet. No soap for the shower, only one towel, no remote control for the Aircon. Good breakfast. Great location for bus services. Poor customer service for tourist amenities. Bad advice and booking Service for departure bus, do your own research and book online or with a local office, you have a better chance of knowing what you are getting. I left before staying my second night. I could not recommend this accommodation and would not stay again. I wish them good luck for the future. Pete

I recently stayed at Phong Nha Mountain House, and I can honestly say it was one of the most comfortable and welcoming experiences I've ever had. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. They helped with everything from laundry and food to providing invaluable advice about the local area. They also assisted in booking an incredible tour around the caves, which was a highlight of my trip. When my motorbike broke down, they offered to find a mechanic for me and even took me to the bus station to make sure I could continue my journey safely. I could not recommend Phong Nha Mountain House enough. The hosts are some of the kindest, most genuine people I have met, and their hospitality truly made my stay unforgettable.

Pros- The couple that run the place are very nice. The wife speaks really good English and is very hospitable. The husband doesn’t speak any but he invited me for coffee and helped me with taxis. The price is great. The rooms are clean, bed is pretty comfortable. The hotel is by a busy street but it’s pretty quiet inside the room 😊 Good water pressure and very hot water is also a plus. Con - It’s in a location that is mostly furniture stores or auto mechanics. Also everything closes around 9pm so if you are a night owl like me you have to go pretty far to find food or drinks. I’d recommend getting a motorbike. Overall, for the price, it isn’t fancy but you have clean room, nice owners, and a quiet space. 👍

The staff is very generous and helpful. He gave advise for activities, booked our next bus and rented us his motorbike. He even invited us to watch the final soccer match of the national team with him and his friends, which was an really fun experience. The free breakfast was really nice, pancake, fruit, juice and coffee and also other options, while enjoying the beautiful view over the valley from the rooftop. Room had a nice balcony, was clean and beds were comfy. We could leave our bags after checking out ans even use a hot shower after a day of activities before we took our next bus. Would definitely recommend!

A group of us stayed in nam long for a number of months last year whilst we were working in Dong Hoi. We all the best time here, welcomed and looked after by a group of staff who treated us like family for the entire length if our stay, cooked our food every day to take to work with us. Rooms cleaned daily and a great generally great place to stay, perfect location, evrrything you need is within walking distance. The phong nha national park only a half an hour drive away which can be sorted out by the staff here for you. You will not be dissapointed with a stay at the nam long, if you are looking for a homely loving place to stay this is the place to be, with staff who go above and beyond Thank you once again to everyone at nam long for the most pleasent stay.

Stayed 3 nights here following cave tour on the way to Hue. Previous host tried to discourage me from stopping here at all for lack of anything to do but we enjoyed it. The hotel room was huge, fantastic view of river from 7th floor and the staff here is great. Breakfast was $2.00 USD and very generous. Someone said adequate?? Really ?? What you didn’t eggs Benedict and a steak ?? The very walkable area is loaded with restaurants and coffee shops and the traffic is very light. It was very easy to spend 3 nights here and explore the laid back city. Recommend.

It's nicely near the train. So if you just like me have to stay for a day or two, it's really nice. It has an elevator as well what makes it with a lot of luggage comfortable. I was alone in the room normally its a room for four. You dont have curtains, so there is no privacy in the beds. I didn't care because i was the only one, but yeah, it depends on how much privacy is important for you. Really big lockers as well for your luggage.

We were a family, travelling with a 7 yr old. Pleasant hotel, with good sized rooms. Room had good air conditioning & an electronic safe, however it wasn’t bolted in to a wall or floor. Staff were pleasant & reserved, except for the house keeping crew, who wake you at 8.30am with their brightest smiles, in an attempt to clean your room. There is no money exchange services for AUD at the hotel. It seems they only exchange USD. There are cigarette cans on each floor, which allows guests to smoke in the elevators, which is pretty unpleasant. The hotel has restaurants, however, they didn’t appear to be open for lunch & dinner, only for special private events. It is a very nice looking hotel, with good sized rooms. It is a little further out than I had anticipated, however, a grab fare is more than reasonable to get around.
