On a recent business trip to Ca Mau I was booked to stay at the Phu Cuong Hotel in the city center, on entering the hotel you are greeted with a very grand reception area and smiling faces of the reception staff. Check-in was swift and painless. I had booked a city view room with balcony, the room was spotlessly clean and spacious, the sliding doors onto the balcony were also soundproofed from the busy road outside the hotel. The bed was very comfortable, good free wifi service and a nice breakfast and dinner menu available if you decided to eat in..The staff at the hotel are attentive and very pleasant and some have a good understanding of English. all in all, a very nice stay, and be back again in January.

I arrived at the hotel without prior reservation, and I had to inquire about breakfast as no information was provided although it was inclusive in my rate. To my surprise they informed that breakfast is only served till 08h30 AM …. Then again I needed to call to get the Wifi code, so overall poor check in. In my room I found a bunch of hair in toilet, housekeeping probably forgot to flush prior to leave the room, but I also found paper trash on bathroom shelve and a wet bathroom floor and shower. Finally there was a stain on the bed… Next morning I was informed that breakfast is served on the outlet outside of the hotel with a very limited choice of Vietnamese dishes.

There is no early bed here, you can add an extra bed, you can also bring children, the transportation is convenient, but the address is more difficult to find, you need to call the hotel to ask for the detailed address or you can't find it.

If you want to go to Dat Mui, choose to stop at Nam Can is suitable because it only takes 60k about 1.5 hours to arrive. 3-star standard hotel with swimming pool. The hotel room is clean but the interior is a bit old. Breakfast buffet has not many options. Behind the hotel there is a restaurant where you can order a group meal, the hotel exterior is cool, the air is fresh.

酒店位置很好，隔壁就是超市。酒店周圍停車非常方便，地方很寬敞。 房間的設施還不錯，但是後期維護不好，水龍頭上面全是污漬。最不解的是花灑的安裝位置，這個安裝在角落裡的花灑非常低，我1米7出頭的個子，洗澡時都要彎着腰才可以淋到水。 酒店的瓶裝水在越南是很出名的牌子，不像其它酒店用雜牌子的水。 不滿意的是酒店的管理，我已經通過攜程付了房費，但退房時前台又要求我付款越南盾現金，折算成人民幣的話，比攜程的價格高出17塊人民幣。（在攜程的協調下酒店會退回我用越南盾付款的房費）
