Ikea Hotell

Every time I go to the IKEA meeting in Sweden, I will live in the IKEA hotel. This is a relatively expensive room, and there are cheaper than three hundred dollars, but the toilet is not very good. The rooms are small, the facilities are simple, and overall it is relatively clean! There are many IKEA sofas, tables and chairs for guests to enjoy in the public rest area of the hotel.

This is honestly one of the best hotels I’ve visited in Sweden. We had reserved a deluxe room and got a massive (roughly 45-50 sqm) junior suite, with a hint of luxury and comfy furniture. The shower, while a bit dated, was also massive and had fantastic (dare I say unrivaled) water pressure in the rainfall showerhead. Best of all, the was quiet and undisturbed from the ”stadsfest” going on outside. Philip at the front desk was also truly superb - the best service I’ve gotten at any hotel in Sweden. Unfortunately, I can’t give a full five stars since some of the towels had hairs on them (eww) and the ventilation was non-existant, even with fully opened windows.
Elite Park Hotel

Stayed for one month as part of the friendly invasion to attend the Vaxjosjon parkrun. Hotel is located a short walk from the station but very easy to find. Simple but striking decoration although some areas are showing a little wear. Rooms are well appointed with large bathrooms, fridge and kettle. Handy recreation room and gym if needed and a fantastic breakfast. value for money was excellent and I would return if in the area. Excellent example of the Brand.
Quality Hotel Royal Corner

This mid-range hotel offers a lot of convenience and enough comfort. The location is handy both for the city centre and the train station, and there is secure, off-street parking. My room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was not the eye-popping extravaganza of boundless choice that many Swedish hotels aim for, but it was sufficient, and of good quality. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The décor is slightly tired, and a facelift would not come amiss, but taken as a whole the hotel offers an adequately comfortable stay.
Elite Stadshotellet Växjö

The hotel is located in the center of Vecchia City, surrounded by restaurants and shops. Take a taxi from the airport to SEK 345. The front desk service was warm and the room was very comfortable. Standing by the window, you can see the church. The breakfast is rich in variety and the hotel design is retro and warm.

This is a very clean and comfortable hotel at a very good price. We were welcomed warmly by Hanna and she then went through the necessary information with us. Shes a lovely asset for the hotel. Bed were comfy. Room was clean. Breakfast was nice. No complaints at all. Would stay again for sure.

This was a VBT (Vermont Bicycle Tour) stop. What a treat! Our room was great! We had a sitting area with a couch and desk. Bedroom was nice with a double bed. No fan but that is the case for most inns. I believe this inn was built in 1902. We were treated to a micro brewery discussion and sampling in the basement. Dinner was phenomenal and the chef blew it out of the park with all dishes: I had the tomatoes with burrata, the beef and the creme brûlée . The wines paired with the meal were spot on!
Sure Hotel by Best Western Radmannen

We booked one night here on our way to Stockholm. We arrived late evening but received a nice welcome from the lady on reception (who spoke great English). Room and hotel was a little dated, but it was clean and comfortable and all we needed for the one night. Supermarket was just around the corner so we went to stock up on some bits for dinner. We didn’t have time to stop for a proper breakfast but we picked up a few bits to take away, including fried potato’s, hard boiled eggs and some fruit. They said they had gluten free bread that was available.
Kosta Boda Art Hotel

Stayed for one night. As part of a larger corporate group I stayed for one night. The hotel is layed out with lot's and lot's of art. Really nice. And the room was also layed out with art. The room was all in all pretty much standard except from the art. The check-in experience was interesting. As we were part of a larger group they had prepared the keys for us so we just had to give our names and then she handed over the keys.... And left! No ”have you stayed here before?” Or ”To find your room just go..” Or ”Breakfast is served at X from X in the morning..” She basically tossed the keycards at us and turned away and left the reception?! The breakfast started at 7 am which is quite late for a regular weekday. However, it was slightly above your average hotel-breakfast so I guess that compensated the late start. Plus for the breakfast, minus for the check-in. Probably won't stay again privately outside of work.
