"I loved it here! I was a single traveler, and this was by far the best stay of my 2 weeks in New Zealand. The rooms are very comfortable, clean, and had a kitchenette. I tend to over do the adventure on my vacations, but this was my most chill morning on the trip. The staff is friendly, and as crazy as it sounds, the breakfast was worth it! I wish I could have stayed here on the return trip."

"Had a lovely stay at Scenic Hotel Marlborough to end off our trip in New Zealand. The hotel room was much bigger than our previous hotel stays, where we could comfortably open both our large-sized luggage to repack. Apart from the spacious rooms, we love how clean the toilets were and how tidy our rooms are done up by room service each time we return from our day out. The stand out however, was the service provided to us by the staff. We arrived around midnight as we had a long drive from Fox Glacier to get here but the staff was ever ready to receive us, and even gave us recommendations on what to visit around Marlborough during our stay. During our stay, there were occasions where we opted to buy food back to enjoy in our hotel room and the room service was readily available to provide us whatever we needed to have a lovely meal in, including plates, wine glasses and even condiments. Highly recommended!!"

"I thought it was pretty good. I think I booked an executive room, which had a balcony and plenty of hot water in the shower. It's located on a section of the main street. There aren't many travel guides for Picton online, so I scouted it out for you. This motel is next to a gas station and across the street from a large supermarket. The room has a kitchen. It's a 10-minute walk to the Intercity bus station, which is next to the train and ferry terminals, so it's really close. Also, the beach is less than a 10-minute walk from the hotel. There are various activities available for registration at the beach; you don't need to book online, just walk in and inquire—the price is the same. There's a Thai restaurant not far from the hotel. Picton is beautiful. We came here to take the train, and it's definitely worth it. This is a wine region; remember to buy a bottle and try it."

"The advantage is that it is very close to the train station and the pier, a few minutes walk; the second is cheap, the service staff is warm; suitable for non-self-driving backpackers. There are many shortcomings, the deluxe double room, said that there is a private bathroom, in fact, there is a public bathroom, and the washbasin is not much bigger than the palm; The room is basically not soundproof, and the sound of the corridor is clear; the so-called breakfast is a refrigerated bread, bake it yourself with butter jam, and then adjust the milk oats; Free parking is parked on the side of the road next to the street, not the road in front of the hotel. In fact, it is marked as a limit of 60 minutes. The hotel staff informed that there is someone in front of the door and no one in the street parking next to it."

"The hotel reception is very detailed, the location is very convenient, and the scenery is beautiful.

"Located in the bay, the balcony has a great view. The upstairs and downstairs are spacious, and the kitchen facilities are complete. It feels very cost-effective. The two of us stayed in one bedroom, one bathroom, one kitchen and living room. It feels that if a family of three generations and five people can stay in it, it would be very ideal if they can add one more bedroom and one bathroom (if there is a vacancy) for a little extra cost. There is also a parking space, which is suitable for self-driving tours."

EErma from CanadaPrivately owned, friendly owners. The room was roomy and clean. There is a sitting area out the back patio doors which was good. The outdoor furniture is a bit older. The bed and linens were good for a 2 night stay. We just needed a place to stay while we toured the area. Havelock where the postal boat tour is just a 35 minute drive away. There is a Countdown grocery store right across the street which was convenient. There are no restaurants within walking distance.

GGuest UserThe place is not far from the town centre, just around 20 mins walk. The reception is nice and welcoming. The room is spacious. It can be a bit cold at night but the heater works well. The room’s sound proof isn’t very great. I can hear people next door close and open their room door. The kitchen area is supposed to open at 7am, but it was not when I left at around 7:30am, so it’s worth double checking the time with the reception.

Just check twice before booking cause its not clear in description and pictures of the room are not good one. By the way common kitchen and shared bathroom was very clean. Staff nice also.

大大王来巡山Since we were not in a rush, we decided to stay in Picton for one night before leaving.
The town is not big but very clean and beautiful. I booked the hotel late, so there were not many options. I chose Beachcomber because the reviews were good.
From the train station, follow the navigation and you will arrive in a short time. The front desk staff is a lady, very friendly. We were supposed to check in after 2 pm, but we were arranged in advance. The door is retro and uses a key, which is quite nostalgic.
The room is very clean and better than I expected. You can see the beach not far away from the balcony. The distance is not far or near, and you will not be noisy by the bar at night. If the weather is good, sit on the small balcony and chat with the neighbors. It is quite convenient to go to the beach, restaurant and boat.
