JW Marriott Maldives Resort & Spa

The Maldives is a nation of over 1,000 islands and atolls spread out across 90,000 square kilometres in the Indian Ocean. Visiting any of its resorts requires flying into Malé, the Maldavian capital island and then taking separate transportation, usually via seaplane or speedboat, to the resort itself. For most of the Maldives resorts, once you’ve made a reservation, the resort takes care of all the pre-arrival logistics so that you don’t have to worry about anything. The JW Marriott Maldives was no exception, confirming our seaplane bookings on our behalf and having staff members at the International Airport to take care of arriving and departing guests. Upon arrival into Male, our JW Marriott hosts took our passports and completed check-in with Trans Maldivian Airways on our behalf. After check-in was complete and we had our boarding passes in hand, we boarded the JW Marriott private transport and driven across the airport towards the dedicated lounge facilities for guests who are awaiting their seaplane journey. Along the way, the driver let us know there was complimentary wifi onboard, the first of countless acts of going the extra mile service that we experienced on this trip. We were invited to make ourselves comfortable for the 30-minute wait before it would be time to board the seaplane. The JW Marriott Maldives, which completely encompasses Vagaru island in the remote Shaviyani Atoll, is a spectacular 50 minute seaplane ride and has to be one of the highlights of your holiday. It has to be said, that hotels here are very few and far between, so there’s pretty much uninterrupted views without another island in sight. This island won’t disappoint, with its amazing pure white sandy beaches and electric blue waters, plus, seclusion and serenity are the signature offering here! Vagaru island was a former resort adopted by JW Marriott with the designers having to work around many of the existing buildings. The result is a quirky take on a contemporary style with natural elements. All 60 villas have been designed from the outside to mimic the lines of a traditional Maldivian Dhoni boat. Each has a decent sized outdoor deck as well as a private pool. We booked the duplex villa option which gets a separate second en-suite room. This worked particularly well as we were travelling with two kids and gave us all our own space. Villas are categorised by their sunrise or sunset views and you can choose between overwater or beach, although do note, the overwater villas are set along quite a lengthy jetty. These villas also have bathrooms that overlook the walkway, so you will need to drop the blinds for privacy. For those staying in overwater villas which do not have the direct beach access, there are a plenty of designated sun lounger spots. The JW caters very well for both families and couples alike. There’s a large T-shaped family pool and then a separate pool called Pool 18, designed for adults-only. Pool 18 reaches out over the sea with amazi

This is the first time to write an experience review on Ctrip. As a VIP guest of Ctrip, I hope my comments can help many friends who want to travel to the Maldives. This is my third trip to the Maldives. Because of the epidemic, I am looking forward to this trip to the island. First of all, I would like to complain about the relationship between Ctrip, the hotel and the travel agency: My order is divided into two, the first is a sand house, and the second is a water house, and each stays for three days, because of work The reason was that at that time, I communicated with the above three people with a little bit of hope, hoping to cancel the last two days or the last day of accommodation. After communicating back and forth for several days, the result was still the result that everyone knew. It is impossible to refund the fee, not even a penny 😄 Well, it’s just a rant, I hope you can arrange your time properly when you travel, and I especially want to know what is the magic of this agency, not only earning money , can also do all kinds of services, I also wonder, as China's largest online travel service provider, how can Ctrip allow this kind of agency to exist. Maybe I'm too young too simple. After three years of the epidemic, all kinds of comments about the Maldives islands on Ctrip have disappeared. If I could see the comments written by people who feel the same as me, I think I will definitely not choose to go to Fairmont. 1. You must have strong eardrums and the ability to resist noise. From Male to the island, it takes an hour and a half to fly a seaplane and stop at an island in the middle. The price of the round-trip water flight for two people is 1336 US dollars. 2. The breakfast time of Fairmont is only until 10:30. When you hear the notice from the butler, you will definitely roll your eyes, because all five-star hotels in China will extend breakfast to 11 o’clock on weekends. Why don’t you go to Malaysia? Shouldn't a generation experience better service than a typical weekend? I went to Anantara Kihavah Island before the epidemic, and the breakfast lasted until one o'clock in the afternoon 😂 3. There are three restaurants on the island, and the cafeteria is the one I often go to. Why is the breakfast service time short? Of course, Fairmont wants everyone to have lunch😄The other two restaurants are Japanese restaurant and Western restaurant. How is the food and beverage level on the island? Let’s put it this way, during the six days on the island, only the night when we went to the Japanese restaurant was considered a good meal. Of course, it’s not that the sashimi in the restaurant is delicious, but the beef we ordered with rice feels delicious🤭 PS: The second order includes breakfast and dinner. If you want to live in a water house, you have to choose breakfast and dinner. Once again, I complain about the amazing agent. I even especially want @太电视3.15 and industry and commerce and taxation, ask them to help consumers more Get to know these amazing beings. The total cost of food and beverages for six days was 2313.76 US dollars. 4. Fairmont’s service 😄 We first lived in the sand house for three days. When we arrived on the first day, I found that there were no bicycles at our door. After three days of urging, we still didn’t have any. When we moved to the water house, we had the ability to travel Tools, and finally don't have to spend a long time waiting for the car on the island. The funny thing is that my bicycle was ridden away by other residents on the island the next day in the restaurant😂 The key is that the room number is still on the bicycle. PS: As a high-end brand of the Accor Group, Fairmont is very influential among Europeans, so 95% of the tourists on this island are from all over the world. We have met two couples, one is Italians, a pair of British, also met the Sergey Brothers 😄, and South African whites who traveled thousands of miles away. In six days, I saw a couple of young people from Chongqing, and the other Asian faces were all Koreans. Closer to home, I won’t complain about the services on the island one by one. In short, it’s hard to say, and maybe everyone’s experience is different. 5. The island’s play items, I think everyone’s favorite is snorkeling, but this island is not suitable for snorkeling. First, there are no fish in itself. Second, the water depth is more than two meters, and the waves are very big. I took my friends into the water and stayed for half a day Came up in minutes. Other play items? We didn't know more about it, maybe we didn't give the housekeeper a tip of 200 dollars, but no one introduced it to us anyway. 6. The beach on the island is relatively poor, there are too many gravel and stones, just take pictures. Summary: Although there are a lot of negative emotions and experiences, these are just floating clouds. Once they come, they will be at ease. My friends and I happily bask in the sun and listen to music every day (with a small speaker) and watch videos, and continue swimming in the afternoon Basking in the sun, going to the beach bar at night to drink some wine with the sea breeze blowing, bragging with the ***********, and correcting the brainwashing of them by the Western media 😂 I am also very happy. Traveling is a spiritual experience, and the most important thing is to please yourself. I hope that when my friends read this review, it will be more or less helpful to your trip to Madagascar. I also hope you have a wonderful trip.
