We needed a hotel room close to Catania’s airport because we had an early morning flight. I was reluctant to book at this hotel because it got horrible reviews. I took a chance and we were pleasantly surprised! The hotel is reasonably priced, the rooms are clean and it’s really close to the airport! They have free shuttle service to and from the airport. We needed a 5am shuttle and they were right on time! We were scared to eat there after all the negative reviews, but the food and wine was great! They had a friendly staff and provided great personal service! We both had delicious pasta dishes and actually all the food looked good! The only negative was the look of the hotel outside. They clearly need to fix up the property on the outside, but I’d prefer a clean room and a good dinner! Don’t listen to all the bad reviews, this hotel is perfect for a one night stay before or after a flight!

We stayed at this hotel two separate times during our stay in Sicily in April 2022. It's a lovely hotel. It's right in the middle of so many sights and felt safe. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable with big bathrooms. One of our rooms had a view of the hills and the other was street side. My mom's room had a huge balcony that we spent time on soaking up the sun and the sounds of the city. My main reason for writing this review to highlight the AMAZING care the staff provided to my mom and her friend. They caught COVID and were quarantined to this hotel. I was terrified leaving them in Sicily while I went home but the staff took such good care of them. They knew their room number and would ask how my mom was feeling when she called to order breakfast (which is a great breakfast by the way). They helped coordinate retesting. They reassured my mom and were always available to help. My mom and her friend were living off room service and would rave about how great the food and wine was. One employee in particular, Barbara, went above and beyond. She would stop by to see my mom and help her with whatever she needed, such as going to the supermarket to get medical supplies. They were stuck there over Easter and she even brought my mom a chocolate Easter bunny :) and she brought them flowers too and it really brightened their day. My mom and her friend both said she had such a pleasant personality and made them feel cared about and loved. I truly believe their great service actually helped my mom and her friend recover quicker. It was so reassuring knowing that they were in caring hands. We want to go back as soon as they can and will pick this hotel again. Thank you everyone who works there!

The hotel is very basic, no kettle in the rooms virtually no lounge area, just two sofa's in the corridor between reception and restaurant. The staff were pleasant and the sheets were changed every 3/4 days and towels daily. However, the restaurant was a huge problem. We have stayed at hotels over Christmas in Spain, Portugal, Malta, Cyprus, Tunisia and the Canary Islands and never have we had such an abysmal choice of food. We booked half board but, No buffet just a menu with a choice of two starters and two choices of two main dishes. Dessert is extra. I paid for half board, not half of half board, no desserts included?? Virtually half and sometimes all dishes were pasta which is not good if you want to eat healthy or if like me you are diabetic. Breakfast had even less choice. Cereal, bread, croissants, and cakes. One choice of sliced cheese and sliced ham. Yoghurt, tomato juice and peach no orange juice, no hot dishes at all. Cannot recommend this hotel unless you just want a cheap place to sleep. I mentioned the staff were good, i will praise Miguel in the restaurant who besides being multi lingual was very good at his job, trying to find alternatives, some not on the menu, to help with my dietary requirements The Hotel is a 3 star the restaurant i would rate a zero.

We have loved our stay. The room was very spacious, the location unbeatable and the service was friendly. This hotel is sophisticated, tasteful and wonderfully affordable. Some remarks: on Saturday night the music from the rooftop was loud. Our bathroom toilet was a bit smelly, but not unbearably so. We had drinks on the rooftop, where there was w nice urban vibe.Breakfast was delicious.

The room was okay. The staff was okay. The breakfast wasn’t really good. There wasn’t any kind of fruits, just pastries joghurt and two kind of cold cuts. and streets were really so i wouldn’t go there again. I think if you go to palermo you should go to an apartman or airbnb. We should do that too

Welcoming and kind. Comfortable and clean rooms. Excellent idea for unattended parking, free with access barrier. Not very close to the center, but close to the seafront and the many clubs.

The location of this hotel is amazing - by the beach. You can opt to relax by the pool or use their access to the beach. We really liked our room - clean and very spacious. The surroundings of the hotel are quite safe. I went for a run in the area and there is also a fitness area in front of the hotel. They also have a small gym 🥰 which I used as well.

We absolutely loved this hotel! The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. We had a great check in experience with a female staff member- we never got her name but she was really friendly and provided all information upon check in. We dealt with a few different reception staff during our stay and all were lovely to deal with. Staff at the pool bar and at breakfast were very pleasant also. Regarding the rooms, we had a sea view room with a balcony and it was absolutely fabulous- the view was out of this world! As mentioned in other reviews, yes the balcony is small but we found we had sufficient room to sit out on it comfortable and admire the view! The room itself was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. Our room was at the front of the hotel but we were never bothered by noise and slept very well during our seven night stay. The rooms were cleaned daily and to a high standard. The pool area is beautiful, and there are fantastic views from it! There aren’t an awful lot of sun loungers but we usually managed to find somewhere to sit, although we generally only visited the pool later in the day, after a day of exploring the area. Towels are also provided which is really handy. There is also a little bar at the pool which is really nice. The only complaint about the pool area is actually to do with other guests, rather than the staff. Many people would leave the pool area and leave their towel lying on the sun bed rather than putting it in the basket provided! In fairness to the staff, they were very good at removing towels when they were sure people had left, and putting fresh towels folded on top of free chairs/loungers which made it clear that these were available. However, it was sometimes difficult to keep track of, and it’s not difficult to put your towels into the basket, and it would be great if guests could be mindful of each other by doing this! We only ate breakfast in the hotel, but both the choice and quality were excellent. The location is another huge benefit of the hotel. It is a few minutes walk to the centre, but in a quiet and peaceful location which meant we always got a great night’s sleep! Overall, this is an absolutely brilliant hotel which offers great value for money and we would highly recommend it

Hotel's location is a convenient short walk to the old town. The in-hotel free parking is a bonus if you book a Classic Room. Room is clean but small, and can be a squeeze if you have big luggages. The only hotel I came across in all my years of travel that does not provide a kettle, and charges for a bottle of water. They might as well charge for the toilet paper. Petty, penny wise and pound foolish! Even if you ask to borrow one, there was none. They charges €2.50 for a 500ml bottle of water, more than 7x what you get from the supermarket. And there is no price list in the minibar. We were charged €7.50 for just one bottle consumed, mistaking the additional charges for tourist taxes. Consolation: Breakfast is good though.

We always try to find smaller boutique hotels to stay at when we travel and we found Limen Wellness Hotel online. We didn’t really know what to expect from a wellness hotel but it sounded great. We spent a few nights at “Limen” in October 2023 and want to share our wonderful experience. The hotel is situated just off the main road from Palermo towards Cefalu. The location is excellent with several options for nearby restaurants (by car). We especially loved Ron e Salvo, which is amazing! It’s also a short drive to the long sandy beach. We were warmly greeted by the Limen staff at check-in and they stored our luggage for us until our room was ready. (We arrived early) The room was very spacious, clean and the bed was super comfortable. Every area of the hotel had a lovely SPA sense and smell to it. The pool/jacuzzi area was calm, beautiful and perfect. We also booked massages in the SPA and they were very relaxing. The best part of the stay was the breakfast buffet! A wonderful spread of choices, hot food, breads, cereals, yogurts, fruit, cakes, fresh juices, coffees and an incredible hot chocolate. The breakfast really sets the tone for the Wellness hotel since we felt great starting our days with breakfast by the pool. The staff was absolutely lovely and very attentive. We will definitely stay there again. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Hotel in a position outside the city center where there is a ZTL, convenient for those traveling by car. Equipped with several services, the swimming pool on the 14th floor and the adjoining restaurant are beautiful. Breakfast plentiful and of excellent quality, wide choice of sweet and savory. Furnishings of the rooms a bit dated to be modernized, excellent cleaning service, gym, bar, car park and large open spaces.

Convenient because it is adjacent to the downtown area. The room feels spacious because it is kept in the minimum necessary facilities. The front desk is polite. I was introduced to the restaurant, but there was no pinpoint introduction.

On arrival at the hotel, i will admit there was a language barrier but look we got there in the end. Entering our room with anticipation I was pleasantly surprised at the size and cleanliness of the room. Furniture was by no means ornate but for the price we paid it was spot on. Breakfast was basic continental breakfast but hey you are in Europe no biggy. Train station and bus literally across the road. in great location to many shops and beautiful restaurants. We visited Mondello beach a few times that week. Very nice querky little town. Every day we returned to Aira 55 our room had been cleaned and fresh towels and bedding every single day which believe me, even in the finest hotels this is rare. Aira 55 served our purpose and asked if I would stay here again? Definitely! If you want five star then go pay for it but Aira 55 is perfect for those who love sight seeing and somewhere clean to sleep.

Lovely hotel overlooking a piazza. We booked a room with a balcony which was lovely to sit and watch the world go by. It is centrally located with bakeries, restaurants, shops and history right on your doorstep. Although it is a busy road, as is all the center you cannot hear the traffic in the room. The photographs of the Hotel absolutely do not do it justice at all, it is so much better.

Like many locations there is good and bad. First the good. The hotel is in a nice location by the marina. Food at the restaurant overall was above average but the staff work tirelessly. That is where it ended for us. The front desk was rude and not helpful for the most part. They seemed annoyed every time we asked them a question or for a recommendation of places to eat. We had two rooms. One smelled of smoke and the other of mildew. The AC rarely made it cold in the room. The hotel seems to have been updated recently but the rooms were dirty/dusty and run down in many areas. If you pay for the water view then be prepared for it to be very loud-especially on weekends. There is a busy street and many parties right outside your window. If you are from the US, expect there to not be wash cloths. That is not uncommon in Europe and this hotel was no different. Lastly, we purchased a third room for a friend who's flight got canceled. This hotel would not refund us and walked away from us when we tried to get an explanation other than ”it is our policy”.

The hotel is well located 20 mins walk from the old town square but next to everything. It is in renovation partially so the gym wasn't open and the lobby is diminished. The breakfast although rich and tasty was not replenished and advertised until 12h on sundays but half empty by 10h so it was such a bummer knowing that we paid extra for that. So all in all feels like a 4 stars but still in progress and for the high price we paid we would have expected more.

Love the very convenient location right in the middle of Via Etnea, walking distances to most of the major attractions. Front Office is warm and very helpful in providing us with information and map upon checking in. Room was great and very comfortable. We were an hour early for check-in, and the room we booked wasn't available then. Instead, we got a surprise to be able to check-in into a bigger room. Breakfast is fabulous with lots of choices. Highly recommended. The property is right opposite the Rinascente departmental store. Before careful if you are claiming VAT refund. My tax refund of over 200 euros was disallowed as the tax refund form prepared by them deliberately omitted the last digit of my passport number.

large room, plenty of space where we didn't feel cramped. large bath which was great. nice sheets and towels. a pleasant location right on the ocean. a bit noisy but not bad. friendly front desk. make sure you see all the sites you can -- Mt. Etna.

The lady who welcomed us was very kind, the room was large in a modern style and very clean! Very soft bed and TV with the possibility of Netflix! Abundant and very good breakfast. It is also a short walk from the center and the central station. I really liked the kindness of the lady, you can see that she does it with pleasure and passion for her profession! Excellent I liked everything and especially the hygiene! Perfect and great staff 😇

We arrived late in the evening due to airline delays but were met with a smiling receptionist and a clean and quiet room. The breakfast offered a vast array of choices - all to a high standard. The location of the hotel allows the main square and sites of interest to be walked to easily. Our luggage was looked after following checkout until we were ready to depart the city. It was also very well situated to get the Alibus to the airport. Overall a very pleasant experience and I will look out for B&B hotels in other locations.

First and foremost, a 4-star hotel should have an insulation system. We basically could even hear the room next door opening their luggage.. awful. Apart from that (which is a big minus), the pool is cool, parking is free, staff friendly, breakfast decent. Food options are pricey and limited.
