The Anchorage Hotel

First visit here, but definitely won’t be the last! The place is simply great. Good size double room, serviced daily, with tea and coffee provided. Breakfast was gorgeous, full English and freshly cooked, the bar/pub area is very roomy, drinks at sensible prices, the restaurant was lovely too, plenty of room between tables, varied menu and outstanding food. The icing on the cake was the staff, each and everyone were pleasant, happy and helpful.
Victoria Hotel by Chef & Brewer Collection

Food was excellent, served by delightful staff, and piping hot on all occasions we visited here. The hotel has a great atmosphere and views over the Menai Strait is sublime. Would like to thank all the staff especially waitress Michelle and waiter Adam who both went that extra yard to make our visits very pleasurable. Will definitely be coming back next year to this wonderful place.
Bishopsgate House Hotel

This is a real home from home. The building is quirky but if you don't mind that, you'll be in for a treat. We had a superior room which was spacious, warm and very comfortable with the added bonus of a sea view. The staff can't do enough to help you, the food (we ate breakfast and dinner there) is delicious and plentiful. While it's at the far end of the street, it's only a few minutes' walk to the gaol, castle, courthouse and other bars and restaurants. We stayed for 3 nights but wish we'd booked for longer.

Anglesey Arms Hotel

Stopped here while on a fishing trip. We have used this hotel on several occasions in the past. The overall stay this year was considerably better. In particular the staff were particularly welcoming and friendly which was not the case last time. The food is excellent and well priced. The cost to stay has gone up quite a bit but I guess that's just a sign of the times. We'll definitely return.

Positives: Friendly proprietor, excellent bath/shower area, interesting and tasty Asian meals available for dinner, easy access to South Stack and other Holy Island attractions. Plenty of plugs to charge/operate your devices, which is not a given in Anglesey B&Bs. Decent street parking around the house. Negatives: Because the window to my room had been left open, it was filled with crane flies. While they look like giant mosquitoes, these bugs are actually totally harmless and more of an annoyance. Unfortunately, their presence drew the attention of what may have been the most gargantuan huntsman spider I have ever seen, which scurried from behind a chair late at night and evaded all my attempts to capture or squash it. I was thus forced to go to sleep in the hopes that it would remain hidden from being more frightened of me than vice-versa. I was also unhappily surprised that the ”breakfast” part of the room charge did not include a hot meal--that was an extra cost. And while this isn't something that can be helped by the proprietor, the views from rooms at the back of the house are of a neighbor's back yard and clothesline.
Château Rhianfa

Stayed here for the weekend what a lovely place the staff are very welcoming and friendly. We stayed in the lodge but I must stress this is an annexe which is a series of self contained flat has spectacular views we stayed on the ground floor you have a decked area to sit on and relax.Parking is just past the entrance to the chateau as it is very tight at reception so would recommend parking there. We had the meal in the restaurant good choice and fixed price for 3 courses the food was really good. You can explore this lovely chateau only thing I found difficult was finding your way around something like a leaflet showing the different areas the bar restaurant etc. All in all a lovely break breakfast is lovely and only a short walk from your lodge.
The Haven Guest House

Checked into the haven yesterday 19th sept for a 1 night stay prior to sailing to dublin. The host of this beautiful guesthouse was a very charming amiable chap who ensured we had all the info we needed in the area etc. The rooms are spotless 10/10. Very comfy beds, complimentary brew kit and milk. This is a perfect spot to stay if catching a ferry or even to visit anytime. We highly recommend the haven and if we visit again we wont hesitate to stay again. Fabulous thanks very much . Ample parking at the front for free and i believe further parking round the back.
