La Fregate Hotel

Chose this hotel to spend the week celebrating our Golden anniversary. Reviews and pics portrayed our idyllic place to Stay. Not Disappointed From the first contact of booking , and our arrival at reception greeted by the warmth and pleasantry of Richard and Riham we felt welcomed chilled and relaxed . We felt pampered when shown to our room 114 which was spotless , well maintained and presented with a modern but traditional luxurious feel. Twin aspect balcony’s , east facing with table and chairs providing sunshine best part of the day ideal for morning coffee and afternoon G &T’s watching all the comings and going’s of the harbour traffic , for which reception were on hand to supply a copious supply of ice to complete the experience. The second south facing , a walkon balcony to enjoy more spectacular views of St Peter port harbour evening life. We nicknamed it the penthouse. Breakfast options were great , full English , to continental and all the others , smoked salmon , omelettes, eggs Benedict etc in between , All courteously served by the restaurant staff. Walter , and his crew Rishab , Abdul, Mahfur, Raj, Yvonne and Eve. All deserving of a mention by name for their courtesy and proficiency.. I missed the Chefs names who should also deserve a special mention for providing fabulous evening meals , exceptionally presented and equally delicious . Fish , lobster meat whatever we chose was fabulous. As were the wine selections. To top it off the weather was exceptionally kind to us spent all week in shirt sleeves and donning sun cream. Trips to Herm and Sark added to our enjoyment of walks around the islands sucking up the scenery and pleasantry’s offered by the locals with a warm hello , or passing greetings of the time of day . All in all a fabulous holiday week celebrating our special occasion. Great choice of destination , and exceptional hotel . Thank you Simon. Thanks to all of you for making our special occasion , all we could have wished for. Hope to return someday, and do it all again. Kind regards to all Andy & Lin.
St. Pierre Park Hotel & Golf

We recently had our wedding here (both the ceremony and reception) and we couldn’t have asked for more from St Pierre Park. From start to finish, the hotel and staff made sure that everything was perfect and we felt so at ease. The rooms were beautifully decorated, the food was phenomenal and the little details (like a towel swan in our room) made all the difference. I just want to give the biggest shoutout to Bronwyn who is one of the Sales & Revenue managers for making our wedding a day we’ll never forget. She made us feel so special and really ensured that the day went as smooth as possible. She is an absolute credit to the hotel and a breath of fresh air - they are extremely lucky to have her and so were we! Also a special mention to Sean for making sure the day was perfect and for always checking in on us to make sure everything was ok and running to schedule. He’s a real gem and we appreciated his can-do spirit. We also stayed in both the junior suite and master suite over the weekend we were there, which were an experience in itself. The hot tubs on each balcony are a lovely touch and a welcomed escape from reality. Thanks so much to St Pierre Park from creating a memory that we will never, ever forget!

Duke of Normandie

Everyone at The Duke of Normandie were attentive, friendly and helpful. The location is great, just a short walk from town. We stayed 2 nights, then went back again for a night a few days later, before flying home. The first room we had was very good, spacious, comfortable and not noisy. The hotel had been refurbished quite a bit. They have a kettle and proper mugs to make a decent tea/coffee!! The room we had for only the one night wasn't so good, quite small and dark, but it's an old hotel, so not everything is going to be laid out like a modern hotel. There are some stairs, but there is always help with your bags if you need it. Imelda was very helpful, both on reception and keeping something breakable safe for me until I came back the second time, rather than take it to Sark and back! Having spent a lot of time in Kenya, it was lovely to see some Kenyans working in the hotel - some of our British hotel workers could take a leaf out of their book! Everyone was so friendly. The food in the Pickled Pig was good for an evening meal, and breakfast very good.

Best Western Hotel de Havelet
4.5/570 Reviews
Returned home on Tuesday from a 6 day break, we had read many excellent reviews for the de Havelet and was not disappointed on our arrival. We decided to upgrade the room and that was well worth it. Large bedroom with excellent on suite (double sink), bed was a good size and WiFi excellent . The staff were extremely attentive and nothing was to much bother. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices for continental and cooked, service was very good with the waiting staff always close at hand and helpful. Breakfast was taken every day in the Wellington bar on the 1st floor of the building across the courtyard. We had dinner 3 times in the Copenhagen resturant which is on the ground floor in the building across the courtyard. A excellent menu which had many tasty dishes all cooked in a open kitchen which was visible by all the diners. The pool although not large 15mts was excellent which we walked down from our room in our bath robes. In addition to the pool there was also a jacuzzi, steam room & sauna, excellent facilities. The de Havelet hotel is certainly one I would recommend with out a doubt. After all these plentiful meals you could walk down the fairly steep hill to the sea front. During our stay we also had supper in the Thomas De La Rue pub and The Cornerstone pub, both of these had very good food and beer.
