"The outside of the hotel needs sprucing up, the inside is tired too, but our room was huge. A slight sea view too. The staff were all lovely, breakfast was great too. The location was a pleasant walk away from the Princess Theatre. Plenty of places to eat along the way too."

"The hotel is located near the waterfront and the city centre. There are many restaurants and shops nearby. It’s convenient to eat and play. The room is tidy and clean. Recommend this hotel to those who like the sea."

"The hotel was really convenient for the train station being only 5 to 10 minutes walk away. This was great as we had booked a train via Trip at a super price. The hotel is a great base to explore the area including Brixham, Torquay, Teignmouth and Dawlish - using the train was cheap and quick. Now for the hotel - We arrived at around 2pm and the room was ready which was a result. The lift is operated by the room key and is good for security. The room was clean and large with a super king sized bed and a walk in shower with toiletries and hairdryer. There is also an iron and ironing board if needed. The room was very comfortable and extremely quiet and soundproofed. There is air con or heating in the room and the maid visited daily to make up the room and replenish the tea and coffee. We booked a breakfast included room - highly recommended! There is a buffet for hot breakfast plus cereals, fruit, toast, croissants and pastries. Tea, coffee and juices. Everything was replenished as needed - My advice is to book this because it is £18 PP if bought on the day. The staff here were exceptional from the front desk to the maids and the restaurant and bar staff - very nice crew and most helpful and polite. We ate in the hotel on one of our nights and found there to be a decent choice with a vegetarian option or two. There are a few good eating houses nearby - we recommend Henrys Bar and The Local Thai as really good places. Overall this hotel is extremely good and very good value for money - We will stay again if in the area."

"After a bad stay over the summer that I had booked direct with the hotel I was worried, but my stay on Monday was amazing. Check-in was short, swift and painless. The room was compact but perfect for me. My one niggle is the technology in the room TV has limited selection, and working it needs a degree. The room was clean and comfortable and the AC/heating worked. Staff were friendly. The adjoining room room, though locked, was a concern for a solo traveller, but I suppose it can't be helped. The hotel is located right on the sea front. I had lovely stay."

"The spa is incredible, so relaxing. Ideal location with about 10 mins walk to Harbour and to Meadfoot beach. Breakfast was on the small side but tasty. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are okay, clean, but for 4* I’d expect a bit more like an iron in the room, toiletries, wash cloths etc. Didn’t sleep that well unfortunately as was woken up by people coming back to room as doors are loud and corridor floors are creaky. This let it down, but I’d return for the spa experience!"

"I was travelling with my partner and friends. We booked two hotel rooms, one room had a broken bed and no toilet roll, the other had a slightly off balanced bed and the toilet bin hadn’t been cleaned as there was someone’s sanitary pads in there from the last stay, this was a very last minute booking so we appreciate the accommodation but we’re expecting a little bit more cleanliness in our rooms, we also went down to say about the beds and were told they would be fixed that night and no one come to fix it, we only stayed 2 nights so dealt with it but weren’t very pleased about the situation"

"This is a rather old hotel, but it's in a great location, right opposite Exeter Central Station. There's plenty of hot water, and the cleanliness is acceptable. However, the elevator was broken when I arrived, and the soundproofing isn't great. It's a bit pricey, but very convenient for getting around."

"As usual with my frequent visit to this area I find Woodbury Park hotel has been my preferred place to stay. Staff are lovely kind and helpful. It’s a beautiful hotel satin a very picturesque location surrounded by pleasant scenery. Hotels and rooms are very clean and well attended to. Restaurant services are clean and impeccable. Credit goes to the chefs and the team who managed the service. I have had a pleasant breakfast service during my stay at Woodbury. I hope the staff and the team at Woodbury keep up the good work and encourage us to use them during my future trips to the area."
