The Angel Hotel

The hotel is conveniently located to walk to all of Cardigan town centre. Parking is limited immediately around the hotel but we found a free car park about 3-4 minutes walk away on Gloster Row - turn right at the Red Lion and it's by the river. The room was large and had recently been refurbished to a high standard. It had a large super king size bed with a comfortable upholstered headboard to lean back on. There is plenty of storage space with a wardrobe and drawer space there is also multiple double electric points to plug in or charge your phones etc. The TV has limited channels, but we weren't there to watch TV, so not a problem and we took our own tea and coffee out of preference. A small hairdryer is available to use and ther is an iron & ironing board in the wardrobe. The bathroom is also spacious with a walk in shower cubicle and modern toilet and wash basin. There is shampoo, shower gel, handwash and moisturiser in refillable bottles with pump dispensers. Plenty of hot water and towels, which were changed once on a 4 night stay. There is no bar or meals served at the hotel, but there are plenty of independent cafes, restaurants and bars nearby. Reception is only staffed from 3-9pm, and the staff were all friendly and polite. You can access the hotel with your room card at any time via a side entrance, but remember to leave your card in your room or the downstairs box when you leave. The hotel is home to Cardigan's only nightclub on occasional weekends which would make the place very noisy, but we were there Monday - Friday and it was very quiet. Would definitely recommend as a base to visit Cardigan and the surrounding area.

This was my fourth return visit to this hotel which is always clean and supported by friendly staff. The accommodation block is set across the car park from the restaurant/pub which means you are not disturbed by noise in the evenings. You can access the hotel without going through the one way system in Aberystwyth if you wish but the centre is still within very easy walking distance. Will be coming again no doubt.
Harry's Hotel & Restaurant

We called yesterday for Sunday lunch while shopping in Aber,we hadn't booked but the barman told us we could have a table for two in the restaurant or the bar,we opted for the bar which had a lovely atmosphere,we both ordered the Sunday roast which was quite reasonable at £13.50 each, we didn't have to wait long until it was served. The food was excellent, fresh and tasty and the staff were very helpful and friendly and the manager couldn't do enough for us.The guiness was probably one of the nicest i've tasted and the price was not too bad at £4.40 a pint which is £1.10 cheaper than the inflated price we pay at our local hotel and pubs down the road in New Quay,we will definitely call again.
Four Seasons Hotel

Right by the sea, super beautiful! Sea view as soon as you go out! It's like a big homestay! There are about three rooms, and each space is ok. Downstairs is the living room and dining room, which is very suitable for several friends to play.
Celtic Bay Guest House

A comfy room, well appointed with hot shower at a reasonable price. The building is not new but everything was clean. A lovely bay window with a table to sit at complimented the room and it was relaxing sitting there with a hot chocolate watching the waves of the Irish Sea roll in. There was a well equipped communal kitchen with a lot of fridge space and also a homely communal lounge room. The staff were very friendly. We highly recommend.
The Glengower

The Glengower is on the front facing the sea with many bar tables outside ready for the sunshine. The hotel staff are friendly and really helpful as are the staff in the bar and restaurant. Our room was on the second floor. It was smartly decorated and comfortable. The bathroom was compact and very clean with modern fittings, all of which worked well. Breakfast is well organised with help yourself cereals, youghart, fruit, jams etc and the cooked items are served quickly on hot plates and nicely presented. We also had dinner twice in their restaurant because there are many interesting dishes on the menu and again the food and service was excellent. There is no lift and parking is on the local streets but those minor aspects should not deter you from having a lovely stay at the Glengower.
Queensbridge Hotel

Arrived at the hotel to be told we weren’t there as they were full. After a phone call we were sent to a partner hotel, to be told we weren’t there either but a new apartment on the sea front!!! The lady checking us in walked us to the apartment, 5 mins away, and we were super impressed!! We had a wonderful night there, so comfortable and we’d fully recommend it. It’s on the 4th floor so had a great view out to sea. Parking is on the road wherever you can find a space. In the morning we walked back to the Four Seasons for a hearty complementary breakfast. After the initial confusion we were totally pleased with our stay.
