We have been sleeping here one night to meet the family in the Christmas market. The location is ideal for this. I had some concerns about the location so close to the Riebeckplatz, and I must also say that despite closed windows, there has been some traffic heard. No problem for urbans but for rural residents, if necessary. The air conditioning was already quite noisy. We had to make it up at night as it was warm in the room. Unfortunately we had to reconfigure it again at night because it wasn't running in the right mode. Otherwise we didn't miss anything. The room size was good. Even games were out on the room. The bar we used later evening and could make the day sound comfortable.

出門在外，沒有那麼多講究，安全衞生就行，整體還可以，酒店早餐豐富不錯，房間沒有燒水壺，可能中國遊客住的不多，停車方便免費。

4 Monate nach unserer letzten Tour Anfang Februar waren wir jetzt zu Pfingsten wieder im Schanzenhaus. Die Begrüßung bei der Ankunft am Morgen war mehr als freundlich. Der Check Inn wurde schon durchgeführt, obwohl die Zimmer erst ab 15.00 Uhr bezugsfertig sind. Am Abend haben wir unser schönes und saubere Zimmer mit Blick auf das Schloss bezogen. Es wurden einige positive Änderungen vorgenommen. Glückwunsch! Das Frühstück an allen Tagen war wieder sehr schmackhaft aufgebaut und reichlich. Ständige Kontrollen durch das Personal und den Koch, ob alle Speisen ausreichend vorrätig waren. Über die Feiertage wurde jeweils ein anderes Büfett angeboten. Wir hatten uns für Samstag- und Sonntagabend zum Essen angemeldet. Alles reichlich und alles sehr lecker zubereitet. Auch die Nachspeisen waren sehr lecker. Ein großes Dankeschön an den Chefkoch und seinem Team. Insgesamt sagen wir, es war ein schönes Pfingstwochenende. Leider zu kurz. Danke Euch allen. Wir sehen uns spätestens zum 2. Advent 2022 wieder. Da ich beruflich viel in Hotels unterwegs bin, möchte ich nachstehend meine Wahrnehmungen im Hotel schildern. Rechts neben dem Eingang war ein deutlich sichtbarer „Teppich“ aus Vogelkot, den man mit einem Hochdruckreiniger sicherlich gut entfernen könnte. Der Empfang selbst war freundlich, das Zimmer selbst jedoch relativ klein und das Doppelbett mit einer Größe von - zumindest gefühlt - 140 x 200 cm ebenfalls, genau wie der Fernseher und das Bad, sehr klein. Wände und Teppichböden wiesen deutliche Gebrauchsspuren auf und auch die Deckenlampe war mit dem Aufkleber eines deutschen Fussballvereins beklebt. Dazu war die Badezimmertür beschädigt. Direkt am Empfang wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass das Restaurant am Tag unserer Anreise nicht geöffnet hat, da - lt. Aushang im Fahrstuhl - kein Personal zur Verfügung stand. Im Frühstücksraum waren am ersten Tag diverse Tische nicht abgeräumt, teilweise nicht neu eingedeckt oder nur partiell eingedeckt. Am zweiten Tag war dies besser. Abschließend sei angemerkt, dass die Lüftung im Frühstücksbereich eine Reinigung vertragen könnte. Gleiches gilt für die Heizkörper im Lichthof.

I only stayed one night in the midst of the pandemic so I’m sure this hotel has a very different dynamic in regular times. The reception area is fantastic, a huge, high ceiling area meaning you can see right up to the top floor. Add some pedestrian traffic and guests and you’ve got a great place to have a coffee or meet people. In today’s environment, it just seemed sad and empty. The room was well equipped, nice big bed, good bathroom - though who uses a bidet in 2020? Service was good as you would expect from having so few guests. As with all hotels, they are keen to point out and highlight their environmental commitments. But then this hotel takes payment for electric car charging - presumably with the excuse they have no choice etc, managed by another company etc. It seems green issues are only an initiative if they save money. That aside, I would stay here again and I’m sure it’s a very different place in normal times.

I'm trying my best to be fair to this place, but it all boils down to this, I did not enjoy my experience.  So, here are the cold hard facts,  it is a 3 star hotel located in a convenient spot for us on our way to the Czech Republic, so we stayed there. We chose the family room, which comes with a double bed and two single bunk beds. The room was clean and sufficiently kitted out for the needs of a quick stay over. The bathroom was sufficient for our purpose and had sufficient space to change. The lights in the room were somewhat temperamental, but after fiddling with them for a while, we got them to work. The hotel has limited parking and as we arrived at 21:30 hrs, there was none left so we parked nearby on the street which is free from 20:00 hrs to 08:00 hrs. Here is where the drama started. We were ”greeted” by a gentleman at the front desk who possessed a ”matter of fact” disposition. He is the stereotypical German with whom I like to work but lacks social skills. He was not rude, but neither was he welcoming.  He was not unhelpful, but I did not feel particularly helped. It would appear that if you don't call the hotel to confirm your stay by 18:00 hrs, your room is cancelled.  He told us this in a manner that made us feel like we were unaware of the obvious while simultaneously telling us that he did not cancel the room on this occasion.  To cut a long story short, after a long day of driving, we did not need to feel as if we were about to be stranded in Magnaburge with nowhere to sleep. To sum this up, it's a stop over spot on our destination, and while it served its purpose, I would not stay here again.

The hotel is nicely and centrally located, basic needs are within reach of under 5 min walk. The room, however, is too poorly equipped - no telephone, no slippers, no safebox, etc. The staff's attitude was not so friendly also, I did not feel welcomed and would rather just check myself in with the machine they have near the front door. All in all, it was a nice stay but I still think they could do better even just for the cheapest rooms.

Wir kennen alle die Hotels vom Range eines Mercure Plaza im schönen Stadtteil Suderburg von Magdeburg. Erbaut nach der Wende und stilistisch dort auch geblieben. Warum auch nicht? Wir tauschen unsere Möbel auch nicht jedes Jahr. Das Hotel ist praktisch an die Straßenverbindungen angeschlossen, verfügt über eine schöne Garage und hat ein italienisches Restaurant im Haus, welches einen nach einem langen Arbeitstag durchaus verwöhnt. Ich werde jedenfalls den sehr guten Grana Padano mit Marmelade von grüner Tomate als Amouse Bouche nicht vergessen. Nachteile: Die Zimmer sind alt eingerichtet (aber top sauber!) und entsprechen den 90er Jahren. So sind auch die (sehr sauberen) Bäder. Und jetzt kommt Habeck: Das Hotel nutzt eine Wärmepumpe im Innenhof und diese ist so laut, dass ein jeder, der davon zukünftig betroffen ist, sich hier über die Grüne Zukunft bestens informieren kann. Danke für diesen Einblick, der mich davon überzeugen konnte, dieses Land schnellstens zu verlassen und den Grünlingen ihre national Deutschen Träume ohne uns ausleben zu lassen. Adieu, Herr Habeck!

The hotel is a 5-minute walk from the train station; the variety of breakfast options is abundant. The front desk will speak English. It takes 10 minutes to walk to the two church squares in the city. There are restaurants to order food at 8-9 pm and the store closes at 8 pm.

We were traveling from Warsaw to Rotterdam and needed a overnight stop . This location was perfect close to the motorway. We had not pre booked , but the receptionist was very helpful and spoke per English. The room was spotless and provided space and other little extas. We ate in the restaurant, and although the menu was limited , there was enough choice and was very tasty. The staff again were very polite and the young gentleman spoke English which was very helpful. Breakfast again was plentiful with a mass choice for everyone , including a gluten free area ( for those). We enjoyed every bit of it and would stay again , but be warned it was not cheap but worth it . Maksim Kocura 02/02/ 23

Service was very good, could already 11.00 clock in our room. All clean and comfortable. Direct at the train station and right in the city.

I arrived late and left early (this hotel is about 5 mins walk from the Railway Station) but was very satisfied with my stay here. The hotel is clearly pretty new and was unusually decorated with a cycling theme which made it a bit interesting - I am tempted to return to the area with my bike in the future now! The staff I dealt with on reception were pleasant and I would describe the room as very clean and comfortable. The one minor annoyance was that there is no glass in the bathroom or even any kind of cup in the room but by the time I had undressed and realised this I was too tired to get dressed to go downstairs and ask for one (as invited by the notice in the room) so made do with an empty drink bottle I happened to have with me. Slept well in the room though, would stay here again.

We booked it since my husband was in Magdeburg business and were really looking forward to the pool. First to the positive things: the hotel and the room are very clean, the staff with some small exceptions very friendly large selection of breakfast, free swimming pool towels at the reception. Negative to mention online, in the elevator in the hotel and on all platforms it is called, among other things, family hotel but it is rather a business hotel, but it was probably also because our room was directly in the 'hall' The hotel was very warm in the room, you could hardly breathe because you always moved cigarette smelter from other rooms to our room, which was in the 2nd floor above the restaurant to the sea side. The pool was too cold that if you can go in if you come from the sauna but so unfortunately my daughter had not been shaken directly before cold. At breakfast the selection is enough but a full coffee machine at the number of guests to Little part of the people were 10 serpent, whirlwind always cold even if it came fresh from the kitchen sauce see picture probably from the previous day ( one day before breakfast end container full, One day later, the sauces looked like on the picture). Free parking as indicated a parking lot offered for the amount of rooms disaster on the other side of the street is not recommendable. If we're going to Magdeburg next time we'll book another hotel again.

I was a weekend for the family in Magdeburg and I went to the Classic Hotel without any sleeping places. I arrived very late and hadn't eaten yet (23:00) and was very tired. I hadn't expected it anymore but I got a super delicious pizza and a cool beer from the hotel bar. The bed was super comfortable and I sleeped very well this night. This hotel is suitable for couples, singles and families. The atmosphere is very relaxed and you can relax in the foyer super. It is not overlooking and the staff is very nice.

No porters. Two separate lifts to get to the second floor. I booked a deluxe room and the first room I was given was in the attic with windows the size of the slits used to fire arrows out of in castles. After a serious complaint I was given a proper room however the air conditioner did not work. When I queried this the receptionist said the whole second floor was without air-conditioning this would have been fine if the outside temperature had not been the 34 degrees it was during our stay on top of this the room was west facing so the temperature inside the room was well into the 30's most of the time. The secure parking is €16 per day and the swimming pool an extra €6 per person per day. The restaurant was full of flies at breakfast time and front door did not work on the day we left so everyone had to use a side door.

Breakfast is very good The bed is very large So we don't have an extra bed, it is suitable for children to travel. The hotel is very close to the small town center, there is free parking, but parking outside is also free, very convenient. Breakfast is very good, there is a feeling of South Germany, I like it very much. Although there are not many breakfast items, but each has, and there is a super high-end blood sausage! Positive: - Staff always very nice - Staff room available for evening (if you don't want to play in the room) - Stacking space for bikes - Parking sufficiently available - Drinks also available at the reception evening What unfortunately - Although WG Corona should only be 10 guests at the same time in the breakfast room, we come and suddenly have 15 people extremely close around us. This is not possible - you wear mask in the house, employees come to one without opposing - the long walk that leads to the rooms smells ...bestious ... There seems to be no decent airing here, or there is no sufficient air function available. But with evil to/ from the room, it is not pleasant

A very nice boutique hotel— blends well into the Lessingsrasse—easy to get there by. public trabsport( streetcar). The center/ the university/ the Moritzburg/ the castle Giebichstein within walking distance. The old facade well restored. First glance— and you like this hotel: customer friendly personnel/ a nice courtyard/ comfortable rooms( tgecstabdard rooms: o.k.— I would recommend to reserve a “ Komfort- DZ with king size bed). The breakfast excellent— a good variety. In summer you can enjoy the breakfast on the terrace in the courtyard.A sauna— relaxing after a day of work.

I really like 'classic' hotels: sweeping staircases, uniquely shaped rooms, vintage furniture, slightly creaky hallways etc. Dormero fits the bill. but.... Hospitality is key. I arrived at the hotel at 23:06. I was told I had no reservation. After insisting, I was told that my reservation was cancelled because I was too late, the desk closes at 23.00, and why did I not know that. I tried digging into my high school German to apologise, but was then confronted with the fact that I may not refer to the desk clerk as 'Du', but should use 'Sie' (I remember this, I should have used 'you' (Sie)) instead of 'you' (Du) as a matter of politeness). Then she complained I had a 'foreign' phone number so she couldn't contact me to check if I was coming (I am a global traveller, but have a phone from a neighbouring EU country. SMS/whatsapp/phone calls all work.) Anyway, it took at least 15 minutes for the clerk to 'retrieve' my reservation and get me the key. some background about my role in this. I looked up the hotel on the largest hotel website, but booked on the hotel's own site. Why give more money to the platform. So, you think the hotel would value my consideration. I received the email confirmation and just checked quickly that the date was correct. I was planning to check in to the hotel before my business dinner at 19.00, but my train arrived an hour late, so I had to run to dinner. This stuff happens, and you hope that accommodations can accommodate this. I have come across hotels with early desk closing. They always mail or text separately that this is the case, and then describe how to enter hotel of pick up key after hours (ever heard of a key-code entry system?). Anyway, next trip I may book the corporate box hotel and skip the quaint. A pity.

A very beautiful and quiet hotel near the main station. The city centre is great to reach and with the tram that also drives nearby, you can very well explore the city. The rooms were very clean and beautifully furnished. The staff, whether at the reception, in the restaurant or in the housekeeping, were very friendly. Breakfast buffet is very rich and the dinner in the restaurant has tasted us very well.

In the center, to reach well, price & performance were good, nice room, uncomplicated, I would book again, thank you

For a one-night stay while crossing Germany, it must be said that we were not looking for anything fancy. The Atlas hotel, however, made us feel at home, and credit is primarily for the staff, especially considering the tougher times of the pandemic. So, in spite of few people hanging around, and a less than lively atmosphere, we felt welcome and this is very much appreciated. Not all the fixtures are the most modern you could expect, but that was still very acceptable in terms of overall ambience, and our 3-bed solution was incredibly spacious, too.

Das Regiohotel liegt direkt am Bahnhof. Leider bedeutet dies, dass man die vorbeifahrenden Züge gelegentlich hören kann. Auch wenn Personen auf dem Flur vor dem Zimmer sich im Vorbeigehen unterhalten, kann man das im Zimmer leider hören. Die funktionale Ausstattung des Zimmers 201 war sauber, was von den in die Jahre gekommenen Teppichböden im Flur nicht ganz behauptet werden kann. Neben Fön, Vergrößerungsspiegel und Handtüchern stand auch ein Wasserkocher mit Tee, Kaffee und Wasser auf dem Zimmer zur Verfügung. Die Mitarbeiter waren stets freundlich. Das Frühstück war im Preis inklusive - ausreichend Auswahl. Es sind viele Parkplätze vor Ort - kostenlos. Das Wlan funktionierte unbeständig. Leider war ein später Check-in persönlich nach 21:00 Uhr nicht mehr möglich, sondern nur über den Schlüssel über den Schlüsselkasten mit Code. Das Hotel nimmt seit der Pandemie wohl kein Bargeld mehr, sodass auch Kleinstbeträge mit Karte gezahlt werden müssen. Für Zimmerreinigung muss man eine ”Zimmerkarte” in eine Box an der Rezeption werfen. Zuzüglich zum Preis muss pro Tag/Nacht noch 3 Euro Kurtaxe gezahlt werden, was kein Problem ist, wenn man das im Voraus weiß.

We stayed here as part of a group. The hotel was very busy with both regional and international companies. We were amazed by the size of the dining room which was expanded nightly via adjoining room partitions to accommodate the masses. Our room was large and comfy with a built-in luggage rack and plenty closet space. What is certainly weird, and maybe this is a German thing, but my husband loved the instant cappuccino packs provided in the room, but these were never refilled. In fact, our mugs were left dirty and we had to wash them ourselves. No milk or creamer are provided, so you've got to take a little jug from the restaurant. No coffee or tea supplies were refilled during our time. Others in our group had the same experience. The front office service was hit or miss and generally I found them more engrossed in their tasks like balancing their floats than to attend to customers'. A front office agent should be forward facing I feel at all times, as otherwise you're looking at the staff from the side and trying to get their attention. The buffet was quite good as we enjoyed breakfasts and lunches daily. I wish the fish was done in different styles but I liked the variety nightly for dinner and lots of vegetable options. The dessert could have been was more innovative than mousse, mousse and mousse in different flavours with icecream. Some bread pudding, proper cake, a trifle or creme caramel, meringue, etc. would have been welcomed, especially by the international guests. I mean even German desserts like Apple strudel, Lebkuchen, Plum cake or other regional sweet would have been nice. Location is halfway between the railway station and the center of town and the little red land train to the castle starts & stops just behind the hotel so this is very ideal. We enjoyed the bar in the evenings. The bartender Salvatore was a delightful character; friendly and efficient despite not speaking a word of English. We would definitely stay here on a future trip.

The small hotel has surprised us pleasantly. We had the smallest room (tornfalke). Very clean! There was a water cooker available, tea and two bottles of water were ready. Breakfast was very opulent. The staff is very friendly and welcome. The only small swelling was a bed that was quite noisy. We would always like to book here, because the price-performance ratio has certainly fit.

Just for one nite. A very god experience, the room was silent, good bed, well sleeping matress, spacy room and bathroom. Also a desk, a flat screen in the room. The breaky was wonderful, fresh fruit, hot eggs, bacon, bread, jam, coffee, milk, yogurt and other things that is needed for a good days start. Next time again.
