Ji Hotel (Kunming Cuihu Renmin Middle Road)

Cuihu District
Room is a bit small, but location is very good. We got green lake at the back, and old street nearby. Easy to order food. The only drawback is most of the taxi we ordered will stop in the middle of the road instead of infront of the hotel, since the hotel located on the street where they can't stop (or maybe it's just an excuse from our taxi driver). Breakfast is so-so and cheaper if you buy at least a day before with the receptionist. But i think it is better to just order food outside. They deliver the food to the room with delivery robot. Laundry room is a big plus for this hotel! We got to get back home with clean clothes.

Check-in before check-in was quick and professional. Especially the lady at the front desk, she is so cute! The hotel facilities are also very good. The toilet is a smart toilet, and the smart Xiaodu can control the room. There is also a refrigerator in the room, mineral water and coffee and tea bags, all of which are given for free. When you check in, you will also get a local style bracelet. Like it. The hotel price is really affordable for this kind of facilities and services.

The environment is great, and the service is OK, especially for coffee lovers. It's so cool to try all kinds of coffee beans by hand every day. The room is also very large, and the scenery is also good, but the bathroom and toilet are all transparent glass, which is really embarrassing... And the hygiene is also average, there is dust in many places, and there are stubborn stains on the toilet... It's really a shortcoming that ordinary B&Bs should not have. I hope it can be improved to live up to such a good environment... If you bring children, it is recommended to stay in a pool room or a mountain view room, which is convenient for various services in the main building and it is also convenient to get things from the car. There are fewer varieties of buffets, but it's okay considering the price is not expensive. The activities of picking coffee beans, catching fish and riding horses are simple but also very interesting. The last reminder is that it takes about 1 hour to go in and out of the winding mountain road. If you bring children and the elderly, remember to take motion sickness medicine half an hour in advance, otherwise you may not be able to bear it...

There is free pick-up from the airport, and there is a shuttle bus for visiting Gaozhuang. It is very convenient and the service is very good. There is also a swimming pool on the roof, and the environment is very good, especially the night view. The breakfast is generally good, with quite a lot of variety. I really like their rice noodles. The laundry room is a bit run down, so if there's nothing special about it, try not to use it.

Fine stay for 2 nights when arriving in Kunming. Location is nice, although hard to find the exact location. Be well prepared and have the hotel phone number ready. Good restaurants and coffee shops nearby and walking distance to the park. Smoking is allowed in the rooms which is the downside, otherwise everything fine.

The apartment is very clean and big. Very spacious and suitable for family. There's a full kitchen for if you want to cook or have a meal in the apartment. Washing machine is also available, which makes it super convenient. The service was great from the staff. Although location was a bit confusing to find, the staff came out and led our driver to the right place for check in. You can see Cangshan and erhai from the apartment. There's not a lot of food places around as the apartment is on a small mountain apartment complex. However ordering take out is very convenient from your room. Overall a great stay.

The hotel offers a stunning view that truly takes your breath away. The cleanliness and aesthetic design create a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable – they were incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful. Special thanks to the team members who entertained us, assisted with carrying our luggage, and seamlessly organized our transportation needs. The convenience of calling e-hailing services from the hotel was a great plus. Additionally, the thoughtful gesture of providing snacks when we couldn’t attend the breakfast session was greatly appreciated. A wonderful experience overall!

Our host, Mr. Yao Xiang, was the epitome of kindness and hospitality. From picking us up at the train station to accommodating our requests even late at night, he went above and beyond to make our stay remarkable. He even ensured a smooth journey to our next destination. His genuine care and attentiveness made us feel truly valued. The room was nothing short of perfection, heated floors, cozy heated beds, a hot shower, and a delightful selection of snacks and drinks. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged. The package included a delicious welcome high tea, and the chance to try on traditional ******* clothing for me, my wife, and my son was a unique and memorable highlight. The breathtaking backdrop of majestic mountains, sprawling grass fields, grazing sheep, and friendly dogs and cat created a picturesque setting. It felt like stepping into a dream—a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Three days in this incredible place were far too short to fully immerse ourselves in its rich culture and beauty. I wholeheartedly recommend this gem to anyone seeking a mix of tranquility and adventure. With its sincere, helpful, and polite host and exceptional crew, this place truly offers a magnificent experience you’ll never regret. If you’re searching for a place that feels like home and inspires the soul, look no further this place has it all.

This was our only homestay-style hotel during the entire trip. It’s as good as some other well known 5 star hotels. I’m pretty happy about it! The entire hotel gives off a very warm and homey feel. Our room is new and clean. The bed is extremely comfortable!!! I also love the Le Labo shower products! The service is good and feel very personal. Staff are friendly and helpful! There’s no coffee in the room but staff will make you coffee and bring it to you upon request. And many other things they will help you. The location is convincing yet very quiet it’s also reachable by car. One downside is that the room is a little small and lacks storage and surfaces to put things on. My friend and I are on a 1-month hiking trip, so we had a lot of things. Space is probably okay with people with fewer things.

The Old Town of Lijiang
We enjoyed our stay here, so when we returned from Shangri-la to Lijiang, we made a repeat booking at this place. The cleanliness of the place and the friendliness of the staff were the main reasons for our return. Location: This place is situated near the border of the Lijiang Ancient City. It is close to the main road (2 min walk) which makes it easy to meet your driver for airport transfer or any tour you join. It is also extremely convenient to get to the main attractions such as Mu Residence (5 min) and Zhongyi Night Market (6-8 min). You will be away from the hustle and bustle at night, and get some peace and quiet. Room: We were lucky that we got a room on the ground floor, as we had very heavy luggage. It would be very difficult to pull them up the stairs if we were on the upper floor. Every room has a different name, and shows that the owners put some thought into giving each of their guests a unique experience. The room we got was of moderate size, with a small sofa area for you to enjoy tea and snacks. There was also a kettle and four cups, and a 5-litre water dispenser that dispensed hot and cold water - I appreciated this, which was more environmentally friendly and generous than other accommodation which gave us 2 bottles of water (500ml each) each every day. The room was also equipped with heating, for the room and the floor, and they were controlled by the front desk. There was also a humidifier. The room's interior decoration was warm and cozy. Outdoor: We also enjoyed sitting outdoors, idling, gazing at the fish, watching the flowers bloom, while enjoying many cups of tea. Toilet: It was of decent size, with a shower cubicle that dispensed hot water pretty quickly. They provided us with everything so there's nothing you need to bring: shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, slippers, slippers for shower, towels for body and hair, one-time face towels, hair dryer, body lotion, soap, detergent. Service: The staff was hospitable, friendly, and the service was impeccable. We enjoyed chatting with them over many cups of tea, and rose pastries. They even recommended travel routes and restaurants to us, which were very good, and we even got discounts or freebies by telling the restaurants where we were staying. It was easy to communicate with the staff on WeChat, they responded promptly, and arranged free airport transfer for us as we stayed more than three nights. Food: Breakfast was served every morning, which included a bowl of Yunnan mixian (noodles), a steamed bun, a hard-boiled egg, corn, and some spicy preserved vegetables. Every booking came with one serving of afternoon tea, which included rose pastries and a variety of fruits. We arrived after midnight and the staff prepared some rose pastries and fruit for us, in case we would be hungry, which was very thoughtful of them!
