We stayed here for 3 nights while in Shanghai and enjoyed our time there. The location is excellent ( walk right out onto Nanjing Pedestrian street)
The staff is welcoming and friendly. The hotel is clean and the room was spacious! Check in was a breeze. We opted for the family room and it had a separate living area and bedroom. It was super nice. We had a view of Nanjing Rd and heard zero noise from the bustling road below us. They provided complimentary tea and coffee in the room along with a mini fridge filled with various items ( drinks, beer, water and chocolates)
They provided a safe, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, slippers and robes.
It was my sons birthday they day we arrived and they sent a cake to our room:) I had mentioned that in the booking along with a request for a view. Both were obliged :)
The breakfast was excellent with a ton of options ( both American and Asian cuisine)
There is plenty of seating and great views!
The concierge was fantastic! They arranged a riverboat cruise for us and an amazing massage for my mom and I.
The spa was great and we had the most relaxing massage. The spa staff was fantastic and so friendly. They even took us in very last minute without issue. Though it is separate from the hotel- they gave a fantastic discount for being a guest there.
Our stay was a 10/10 and I would stay here again!!

Great location, only a 10-minute walk from Shanghai Station, and super convenient for the subway. It's just three stops to Nanjing Road, and perfect for an evening visit to the Bund. The room was spacious, but the downside was the loud traffic noise from the elevated highway at night – a constant rumble. Also, the shower had two unmarked buttons, so when I turned it on, the overhead shower suddenly blasted water, which was a bit of a shock! As for the bedding, some stains might not have come out in the wash, but they clearly changed the linens. Other than that, the service was really good.

Our family of four had a wonderful stay at Chalet Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shanghai.
The hotel is conveniently located within easy walking distance of Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, shopping areas, restaurants, and many popular attractions, making it an excellent base for exploring the city.
Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the hotel provided good facilities that made our stay enjoyable and hassle-free.
A special thank you to Xiao Lei for his exceptional service and warm hospitality throughout our stay. He was always friendly, welcoming, and willing to assist whenever needed. We especially appreciated his help in arranging a private car transfer to Pudong Airport, which made our departure smooth and stress-free.
The combination of the hotel's excellent location, cleanliness, facilities, and outstanding customer service made our stay a memorable one. Thank you, Xiao Lei and the Chalet Hotel team, for making us feel so welcome.
We look forward to staying here again on our next visit to Shanghai.

Booked this room for a client. The hotel staff contacted me in advance to help coordinate the room arrangements, which was great. The hotel boasts an excellent location on Nanjing Road, close to the subway station, making transportation very convenient. The service staff were warm and professional. Overall, the value for money is really good. Thanks to 066 for arranging the room, it was good!

The front desk staff were really warm and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable, and the location is super convenient. You can easily access People's Square Metro right outside, and Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street is just next door, making it perfect for dining and shopping. I'd definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit!

The best thing about this hotel is, it's very close to the airport easy to reach it took just 15mnts to reach the hotel and the taxi fare is just 30 RMB and surprisingly the hotel rates are very cheap I just got a neat and clean room for 116 Rmb along with the breakfast free, I suggestion is to book through Trip.com easy to book. staff, reception staff (the girl with the tattoo and the girl with the specs helped me a lot like a family) are very friendly, smiling, helping a lot, welcoming with the pure heart, and the hotel room is clean, neat and it has all the facilities just beside the hotel there are a lot of restaurants to enjoy the local food, the place quite and calm, my overall experience is very nice I enjoyed the stay, I give perfect rating score to the full. and I highly recommend the stay.

With an early flight, staying at this hotel was the most convenient option. The hotel itself was decent, nothing seriously wrong, but the pillows were a bit too high and almost gave me a stiff neck. I wish they provided both a high and a low pillow. Also, there's no outlet above the nightstand, which made charging my phone inconvenient.

Living in the Disney area, the first choice is the Mosher Hotel. The exclusive shuttle bus is free to travel, and there is no pressure to enjoy the park. Nutritious breakfast is served every day, rich coffee is tasted at any time, and the taste buds enjoy it. Prepare a bucket for soaking feet indoors to relieve the soreness and fatigue of walking. The hotel has its own leisure swimming pool, cool water after play, perfect self-service laundry service, clean and tidy travel without worry, intimate service shows warmth.

My go-to Airport hotel – perfect every time!!
I’m a repeat guest at this hotel, and the consistency keeps me coming back. Located directly between T1 & T2 (easy 5-10 min indoor walk), it’s unbeatable for early flights or layovers. Despite being an airport hotel, it’s incredibly quiet. Rooms are modern, spotless, and feel more like a 5-star property. But the best part? The service. The team recognizes returning clients and always handles everything with warmth and efficiency. Rooms are comfortable, and the value is outstanding. Highly recommended for any frequent traveler through Shanghai Pudong airport!

1. It's very close to Nanjing Road, only a 5-minute walk.
2. For the area around Nanjing Road, the price is quite affordable, even though it's an older hotel.
3. Although the hotel doesn't offer breakfast, there are plenty of options right outside, like congee, steamed buns, fried dough sticks, soy milk, and more.

GGuest UserWe stayed at this guesthouse with our kids for our trip to Disneyland. It's about a 10-minute drive from the park, and the owner provides a complimentary shuttle service, dropping us off in the morning and picking us up in the evening. We hadn't booked our tickets in advance, but the owner even helped us connect with a concierge service to get them. All the rooms are themed, which was a big hit, and it offers great value for money. Plus, the kids loved being able to feed the rabbits!
Iinari86The front desk upgraded me to a top-floor suite for free. The decor was very elegant and tasteful, and the facilities were brand new. The night view of the city skyline was beautiful.
I heard that Waldorf uses Aesop toiletries, but the new building I stayed in had Penhaligon's.
When checking in, the front desk even brought me iced honey tea, which was delicious and not acidic at all. Now I want to drink it again but don't know where to find it. The concierge who picked me up and delivered my luggage was incredibly attentive and thorough, and the service was really satisfying.
If I had to nitpick, the breakfast could be improved, but it still met expectations.
GGuest UserConveniently located not too far from Yu Garden. The room is in a busy area, but with double-paned windows, the noise wasn't an issue for our room. I'm not sure about the noise level in all rooms though.
They offer late-night snacks, and when we went, there were a lot of people eating, probably just coming back from sightseeing.
There's a shuttle bus that runs on schedule to popular nearby attractions, which is really convenient.
One striking thing is the high number of international guests. I wonder if it's a popular spot for foreign tourists.
There's parking available right outside, but it's quite limited. It doesn't seem like many self-driving tourists stay here.
KKaiselinxiaojieI chose this hotel because I needed one near the visa interview location. The front desk staff proactively informed me that the room was small and asked if I was okay with it, which was very thoughtful. Even though the room was tiny, it had everything I needed. They even thoughtfully provided noise-canceling earplugs (the overall soundproofing was decent, but someone next door was playing loud music all night...). Although there's no dining in the room, there are a few tables outside with snacks and lemon water, which I thought was a nice touch.
I personally found the bed and pillows quite comfortable. I would definitely book here again if I have similar needs in the future.

GGuest UserThe place is quite nice and homey. There’s a lot of cookwares and kitchen utensils, also smart projector for entertainment. The place is easy to find, even though we need to walk a quiet distance from the nearest station. Still reachable though. There’s also many stores, cafes, and restaurants nearby. The hosts are very helpful and professional. I would recommend to stay here bcs it offers excellent value for money…

Very Good
TThe Lonely TravellerMight I say, our entire stay at the W was marvelous from beginning to end. Upon arrival, we were greeted and helped with our luggage straight yo our room. The staff at the front desk was extremely friendly. She even offered to upgrade us to a room with a better view seeing that we were celebrating and visiting Shanghai for the first time. Each staff seemed to acknowledge our existence all throughout the hotel. This made us feel like extremely important people.
Our room was absolutely stunning and oh my was the view ever so perfect. Room service was excellent. Their burger was probably the most delicious. We visited amd stayed in many hotels around China and this one definitely left some beautiful memories.
We would highly recommend staying here if ever visiting Shanghai. Every penny spent was worth it.
ZZhaoxianshengIf you're torn between hotels like Shanghai Centre J, Amanyangyun, Bulgari, and The Peninsula for your trip, I have to say The Peninsula's service is comparatively subpar among them. No one will ask you how you'd like your breakfast or if you'd prefer it in your room; they won't even bring it up. I even asked the front desk to temporarily store my takeout, and it was refused, with them telling me to take it somewhere else. I rarely leave neutral or negative reviews, but I genuinely feel the value for money here is very low, and the service is even worse than some Ritz-Carlton or InterContinental properties.
It might be okay if you have a soft spot for The Peninsula; the only thing I was satisfied with was the breakfast taste, which met expectations. I wouldn't recommend it for a regular leisure trip. I complain about the InterContinental Sanlitun the most, but I've never given a review like this, so you can imagine, my friend.
GGuest UserAt first, I thought it was a bit far but once I started to explore, I appreciate the location as it is set away from the crowd but very walkable. About 10 mins walk to the LV iconic ship one way, 10mins walk or thereabouts to West Nanjing Rd Butterfly Cremarous in another direction and if you head off in another direction, about 15mins to IAPM mall.
The service was great. The girls were helpful with our Taobao packages and also when I wanted to order food delivery.
Self washing machine and dryer were easy enough to use.
Cleaners really kept the room tidy.
Some construction when we were around end of May 2026 but not too bad. As with most places in China, you will have random smokers inside but our room did not smell of smoke so that's a RELIEF! Another minor negative was the bathrobe was in tatters but that was only the 1st day out of 4 nights stay Also at times, food delivery person could deliver to your room even though you need card access. Worth nothing though I haven't felt unsafe.
I actually like the room layout, felt spacious and also probably the only hotel where I have watched so many movies.

Outstanding
GGuest UserOverall, I'm quite satisfied with the room. The lady at the front desk even gave me a free upgrade, which was a nice touch. There's just one minor thing that could be improved: the showerhead is a bit too low and can't be adjusted. Plus, it's positioned facing the door, so water tends to splash out easily.
