"I absolutely love this hotel! I first discovered it ten years ago during my initial visit to Cangzhou, and ever since, whenever I pass through, I always choose to stay here. After all these years, the hotel is still so well-maintained, which really shows their high standards. The lobby is grand, bright, and features cultural elements, offering complimentary drinks and snacks to guests. The front desk staff are warm, professional, and patient, and the lobby manager is very friendly, proactively engaging with guests and introducing local attractions. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and spacious, with windows for ventilation and humidifiers. The facilities are meticulously maintained, especially the bathroom and shower, which have grab bars for safety – a thoughtful touch. The toiletries are also high-quality. The breakfast is incredibly diverse and plentiful, with good quality. They deliver drinks, yogurt, and fruit to the room, and phone requests are handled promptly and efficiently. The parking lot is large enough, and the attendants are polite and courteous. The hotel's location is convenient, right off the Beijing-Taiwan Expressway, with beautiful surroundings and plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The attention to detail in their service truly reflects how much they value the customer experience. Highly recommended!"

"Absolutely thrilled! The courtyard room offers incredible value for money. The hotel is super comfortable and clean, with a unique garden landscape. The staff and guests are all very friendly and pleasant. The eight little cats at the hotel are incredibly cute! And there are deer too! There are many fruit trees, and guests can pick and taste the fruit. We had some small cherries, and the staff said the apricots would be ripe in about ten days. There are only two things that could be improved: I smelled someone smoking indoors, so please enhance patrols; and the peacock cage is too small, which isn't great for the animals. I'll definitely be back and will highly recommend it to my friends. A truly wonderful trip to Chengde!"

"Every time I've been to Handan before, I've stayed near Congtai New Century, but this time I chose the Wyndham Hotel near Meile City. It was a pleasant surprise! It's a 10-minute walk to Meile City and the Handan Museum, making it convenient for getting around without traffic. The hotel facilities are also excellent and tasteful. The service is attentive without being overbearing, which is great. I especially want to mention their security department. I forgot to lock my car, and they promptly reminded me and even took the initiative to wipe my car clean, which was very heartwarming. Thumbs up, I'll definitely stay at Wyndham again next time!"

"On the day I checked in, the temperature rose to 29 degrees Celsius, but the air conditioning wasn't on. The west-facing sun made it even hotter. The front desk staff in the lobby on the first floor were literally fanning themselves to cool down. Even after the floor manager intervened, the AC remained off, and they offered popsicles instead to help cool us down. The next morning, the breakfast area was stuffy, and I overheard a guest saying they hadn't slept all night because of the heat. Before booking for the May Day holiday, I specifically asked about the forecast, which predicted temperatures up to 31 degrees. The floor manager's response was still that the AC wouldn't be on. Honestly, decide for yourselves, but as a hotel, you shouldn't be cutting corners like this! Terrible experience 👎"

"An absolutely fantastic experience! Not only was the service excellent, but the room was also spotless, tidy, and comfortable. I particularly enjoyed a relaxing hot bath in the in-room bathtub. The breakfast spread was incredibly rich, offering both Chinese and Western options, so there was plenty to choose from. The executive lounge on the 53rd floor was also great, with attentive service. "Arrived on the afternoon of Chinese New Year's Day. Both counters were busy during check-in, but Cathy proactively directed us to the third one. Since we were two adults with two young children, it was a bit of a struggle. Cathy thoughtfully gave the kids small horses to comfort them, which was very sweet. For the rest of our stay, everything perfectly matched our booking requests: a bed rail was installed, and child-friendly toiletries and a toilet seat were provided.
The housekeeping staff never slacked off, even though the kids made quite a mess. Our room was always spotless when we returned.
We'll definitely be back!"

"I was initially drawn to this guesthouse by its name, ”Lanyue Rushan She” (揽月入山舍), which sounds so poetic. Arriving in the evening, I could see the beautiful little house from afar on the road. Entering the courtyard, I felt it had been carefully decorated. Chatting with the owner, she mentioned that flowers had been planted in the yard but hadn't yet sprouted; they would be incredibly beautiful once they did. The lovely hostess was very welcoming and recommended several attractions in Guyuan. The twin room I booked was on the shady side, but it was spacious and smelled wonderful. The toiletries were very complete. Although I couldn't see the lake across the river from the room, it was very quiet, and I had a great rest. ❤ Overall, this stay was excellent, and I must give it a good review. I'd definitely come back and stay for several days next time. The environment was fantastic. Especially in the evening, sitting in the pavilion and enjoying the breeze was simply wonderful!!!"

When the morning mist covers the boundless water mirror on the terrace, you will understand that the so-called poetry and distance are just the grassland heartbeat solidified by the designer with spatial magic.
"Beijing is about to get a heat stroke, so I chose a two-day and one-night grassland trip. I looked for many B&Bs (because I was with a puppy, so I couldn't talk about hotels). Finally, I chose this one. First, pets don't need cleaning fees, and second, this store is one of the few hotels with air conditioning in Datan Town! Although it's a small detail, if you go to the grassland to escape the heat in summer, it's inevitable that it will rain, and the room of the B&B will inevitably be damp. Turning on the heater in summer is a joke. At this time, the air-conditioned room will make people feel dry and cool. Although it's a small matter, the improvement in comfort can only be known by comparison. There are not many guests in the B&B, it won't be noisy, and it's very quiet at night. The location of the B&B is very close to Ma Town, about half an hour's drive from the grassland sky road.
The room is very large, very new, and very clean. There is also a small courtyard outside the room. It's very comfortable to be alone in a daze, look at the mountain view, and have a little drink. It's very enjoyable to watch a movie on the huge projection. After a day of play, taking a bath in the big bathtub at night can eliminate a day's fatigue. There are also drinks, souvenirs and afternoon tea on the day of arrival.
The owner and staff of the B&B are very kind and down-to-earth. The owner also recommended a free attraction, which is great!
Picture 1 is the room, and the last two are the section of Tianlu closest to the B&B. I personally feel that it is much better than the section in Zhangbei, with pure beauty. I hope that I can still see this level when I go again."

Whenever I visit Gu'an, I always choose this hotel. The rooms are spacious, and the surrounding area is fantastic with plenty of dining and shopping options. Central Park is just across the street, perfect for a leisurely stroll after dinner – it's incredibly relaxing. The only downside this time of year is the abundance of poplar catkins, which can be quite annoying.

susanThe transportation is very convenient. If you don't want to drive, you can take the high-speed train. The hotel offers a free shuttle service from Taizicheng High-Speed Rail Station, which takes only 10 minutes to reach the hotel, super convenient! The hotel staff are very friendly, always smiling, and very welcoming. Bottled drinking water is provided in unlimited quantities, and the room is very clean. There's also a small balcony where adults can enjoy a drink and the scenery, which is very pleasant.

Had a fantastic stay! The hotel staff were all incredibly professional and had excellent attitudes. The room was spotless and very tidy. The hotel breakfast was also delicious and offered a wide variety. There's a Chinese restaurant on the second floor where you can grab lunch and dinner.
The hotel's location is superb, very close to the Mountain Resort and other attractions. Right next to the hotel is a famous night market with a rich assortment of stalls. The restaurants nearby are also very comprehensive, offering a chance to try Chengde's local specialties.

FrankBayThe views are fantastic! On the day of departure, the front desk even sent a text message with directions for driving there, which was incredibly thoughtful and considerate. It took about two hours to drive from Beijing to the hotel. We pre-registered our car and were able to park it in the parking lot. They even have fast-charging stations.
We also pre-booked the public hot spring and enjoyed the Eye Stone hot spring. The breakfast quality was also excellent. I highly recommend coming here for the experience!

TangyuxiaonazhaThe service here was a bit of a letdown. While the facilities were actually better than the InterContinental I stayed at a couple of days ago, the service didn't quite measure up. I booked connecting rooms with king beds, just like before, but when I called ahead, they made all sorts of excuses about not being able to arrange adjoining rooms. The staff's communication skills definitely need improvement. Then, at check-in, they started talking about whether our room was facing the street or not, even though our suite clearly was. High-floor rooms facing the street are bound to be noisy at night, so I'm not sure what the staff was getting at.
The biggest rip-off was the breakfast. For such an average buffet, they still charged extra for children, and rooms including breakfast were hundreds more – definitely not worth it. I strongly advise against booking a room with breakfast. I thought the InterContinental's breakfast was bad, but at least they had a wider selection of pastries. Here, the breakfast was barely on par with a budget hotel; it was so bad I almost wanted to complain. The score reflects the facilities, not the breakfast – what a scam!
On a positive note, I want to specifically commend the housekeeping department. The housekeeping staff were all incredibly dedicated and conscientious. We only stayed one night and left early the next morning, but the housekeeping attendant patiently kept asking if we needed anything. Thumbs up to them!

An older hotel, but the facilities are still complete and the room was pretty clean. You can't expect too much from an old hotel. It's best to take a Didi (ride-hailing service) from the station; don't just jump into a shared ride, you might get ripped off. It's just outside the city wall, and I personally think staying here is more comfortable than inside the wall. Among the performances, only the iron flower show is worth seeing, but you absolutely need to get there early to secure a good spot, otherwise, you won't be able to watch. The commercial streets are all pretty much the same!

The check-in process was very quick, so I didn't have to wait long. She also thoroughly explained details about breakfast, the elevators, and local transportation. When I had questions later, she was incredibly patient and proactively helped coordinate my requests, showing genuine care throughout. Her professional and heartwarming service significantly enhanced my stay, and I absolutely have to give a special shout-out to An Xiaorui!

Upon arrival, the front desk swiftly and efficiently handled my check-in, proactively informing me about luggage storage and dedicated storage for large photographic equipment, which saved me a lot of preparation time. The room hygiene was impeccable; the large panoramic window was crystal clear and spotless, with no dust on the floor or surfaces, and the storage area was clean and dry, allowing me to safely store precise cameras, lenses, and other valuable equipment without worrying about dust damage. My butler, Sherry, was very familiar with the best local photography spots. She precisely tailored a full-day photography excursion plan based on sunrise, sunset, and tidal changes, guiding me through different shooting routes for coastal scenery, cultural architecture, wave close-ups, and night lights at various times. She provided exclusive services such as temporary equipment storage, early morning wake-up calls, borrowing simple blackout props, and leading the way to lesser-known wild spots, immediately adjusting the shooting schedule if the weather changed. Guest UserThis stay truly exceeded all expectations. As foreigners visiting Zhangjiakou in December for the first time for both travel and skiing, the overall experience couldn’t have been better — it was absolutely top-notch 👍.
From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were greeted with a sense of warmth and genuine hospitality. The front desk staff were incredibly thoughtful and attentive. They immediately noticed that we were traveling with children and had quite a bit of luggage, and proactively offered assistance, which made us feel very well cared for right away.
The dining experience was equally impressive. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options to suit different tastes, and the availability of late-night snacks was a wonderful bonus, especially after a long day of skiing.
Overall, whether it was the attention to detail at the front desk, the comfort and quality of the accommodation, or the excellent food and beverage service, this hotel truly delivered on all fronts. It’s absolutely an ideal choice for families traveling with children, and we would highly recommend Atour to anyone visiting Zhangjiakou.

Bad check in service at front counter lady. Seems more occupied with her task than guest service. I have to call and request for our sofa bed to be open. Given we book and indicated a family of 4, unlike other hotels whom immediately arrange all additional required items such as toothbrushs, slippers, towels, water, etc. Here I have to call to request for each items.
The wifi doesn't work. I have to physically bring my laptop to the front desk for assistance.. and even that was not able to connect.
Breakfast, average as the food are abit hard - hard noodles, hotdogs, breads..
Only cons is location near to ski and restaurants but so are a few hotels nearby.
Free scheduled public bus shuttle to/fro train station, have to walk about 7 mins to the bus stop.
As a Hyatt member, this is the worse Hyatt Place hotels I stayed. I believe surrounding hotels will have better guest services and competitive price too.
