Superb service, nice hotel room even the one without window, absolutely reasonable price, delicious authentic local Fuzhou delicacies. I was so impressed. The receptionist on duty on Dec 8 evening (I don’t know her name, please find it out) and Dec 9 morning (月月) were very helpful and friendly. Thank you very much for the nice experience.

The room was clean and tidy, and the soundproofing was good. The staff were incredibly patient and provided excellent service. It's a highly recommended choice for its price point. Plus, they offer a free airport shuttle service, which is perfect for those catching an early flight the next day. Thumbs up!

Service: The service attitude is wonderful, very warm, attentive, and thoughtful.
Facilities: The facilities are comprehensive, including a laundry room where you can wash and dry clothes. It's fantastic, making it a great choice for both leisure and business travelers.

The room was spacious and meticulously cleaned, with attentive service. The breakfast offered a rich variety, and both the Chinese restaurant on the first floor and the executive lounge did an excellent job keeping the food warm. It's conveniently located, very close to Sanfang Qixiang, and there are branches of restaurants like Lao Fuzhou nearby. The hotel is connected to Ba Fang Hui, and there's a fantastic spot on the fifth-floor rooftop for the best views of the White Pagoda.

The service was incredibly thoughtful, and the facilities were excellent. The cleaning staff tidied up daily, so the room was always spotless when I returned. It was super convenient for exploring. Since I was traveling alone, the lovely staff even upgraded my room type, which was a very nice touch. They also sent me travel and local food guides on WeChat, which were incredibly detailed and ensured I wouldn't hit any duds. The hotel is close to Shapowei, Xiamen University, Nanputuo Temple, and Baicheng Beach, all of which are on the same coastal road. You can see the beautiful sea views all along the way just by taking one bus. Gulangyu Island is definitely worth a visit, just make sure to wear comfortable shoes, haha, otherwise, all that walking uphill will be super, super tiring! I'd definitely come back again if I have the chance. Oh, and the front desk staff, both the guys and the girls, were all really attentive and sweet~

The room was very clean.
The location was good as it is very near the bus stops which I could go to/from the high speed rail station as well as key places like Kaiyuan Temple and Qingyuan Mountain. I could also easily walk to Guan-Yue Temple and from there other attractions were quite walkable.
Could have provided a cup in the toilet that can be used while brushing teeth to save water for the hotel and make it more convenient for the guest.

Good: very closed by train station like 8 mins walk. Front counter lady was helpful. Price was a deal.
Bad: cleaning is not done well, we found empty cigarette box under the bed. Provided plastic slippers were extremely dirty which we don't dared to use. Bathroom is very small jam with toilet, open shower and washing machine in approx 16sf room. Therefore, the toilet and washing machine gets wet after every use of shower. Since there was only disposable towels provided (large paper towel), we can't even use it to wipe the toilet dry. Although it's closed by Xiamenbei train station, keep in mind, it's far from tourist place in case you want to visit. It takes almost an hour by subway.

Service: I didn't really feel much in terms of service, which was a bit different from other IHG hotels I've stayed at. However, they did provide what was necessary, so I can't really pinpoint any major issues. Regarding greetings, there was no call ahead of time, only a call after checkout asking me to leave a good review. This is quite different from the typical IHG group style. From check-in at the front desk to departure, I didn't feel any particular warmth towards IHG members or Trip.com members. When I checked in, the room wasn't ready. The front desk didn't offer for me to relax in the Executive Lounge, nor did they offer a welcome drink at the lobby bar. They just told me I could store my luggage at the front desk… I was a bit taken aback and unsure what to do… because the lobby was quite small and there were no empty seats at the time! At eleven o'clock (I understand it wasn't check-in time yet), I could only drop off my luggage and go to eat! Since I booked an executive room, the front desk didn't ask if I had any other needs. They took the deposit and processed the paperwork, telling me there were no rooms available for about an hour, and then there was no further communication… A bit speechless (maybe I'm just used to InterContinental and spoiled by other IHG hotels).
Facilities: I can only say they were okay, everything you'd expect was there. The gym and pool environment were decent. The only service I felt was good was from the gym staff; they were welcoming and quite enthusiastic, unlike the front desk staff, who I didn't see smile or greet anyone even once over two days. The lobby bar is a bit small, with only a few seating areas; a large portion of the space seems to have been outsourced to a tea shop, serving as a consumption area. There was no welcome drink upon check-in either, which was a bit surprising.
Hygiene: It's an older hotel, but the maintenance is decent, and the hygiene is acceptable!
Environment: It's about a ten-minute walk from the scenic spots, which is quite convenient.
Overall, there's nothing particularly outstanding!
Breakfast was quite average for an IHG group hotel. The sausages, bread, and breakfast sausages seemed to be of inferior quality, clearly starchy sausages, which certainly doesn't meet the standards of a five-star hotel. The desserts in the Executive Lounge were decent.
Went to Xiamen with a friend and chose the Kempinski, a well-established five-star hotel that truly never disappoints. Even though it opened in 2012, both its location and facilities are still excellent. It's right by the river, and the front desk staff were incredibly enthusiastic, upgrading us from a city view room to a river view room and even giving us a small gift bag with Xiamen local specialties.
The room was spacious and very comfortable. The hotel's gym and pool are fantastic, and the swimming coaches and lifeguards are all handsome young men with amazing physiques. Breakfast was plentiful, and the service was warm.
Overall, it was a great stay.

I want to praise this hotel in every aspect – whether it's hygiene, value for money, ambiance, service, or emotional value, this hotel achieved near-perfect scores.
My original plan was to stay here for just one night, but because the experience was so good, I ended up changing all three rooms for my family's subsequent three-day trip to this hotel.
1. **Excellent Value for Money:** The room type I booked was ”Starlight Bathing” with a large bathtub. The room's cleanliness was very well maintained, and the size and intricate design were surprisingly great. It perfectly met the standards of a highly private star-rated hot spring experience. The decor was Bohemian style, with tropical plants around the bathtub, making it perfect for photos during a bath.
2. **Thoughtful Amenities:** The hotel's various additional services and facilities are very user-friendly. The 7th floor has a free terrace and dining tables, offering views of parts of Zhongshan Road, ideal for gatherings. There are also coffee tables, a bar counter, a tea room, and a shared kitchen. The detailed arrangements are meticulous and well-thought-out, showing how dedicated the hotel's management is, making guests feel secure and comfortable during their stay.
3. **Incredibly Attentive Service!** They proactively contacted me the day before check-in, sending parking information, check-in instructions, and a local guide. Upon arrival, I was immediately presented with a welcome package containing tea, an eye mask, earplugs, hand cream, a bathtub liner, and a bath bomb. When I contacted the front desk during my bath, they delivered a floating afternoon tea. Although there's no turndown service, all these details are on par with luxury five-star hotels. Every front desk staff member excelled in both attitude and service details, understanding and quickly addressing our needs.
I rarely write so much to express gratitude to hotel staff, but I will recommend this hotel to all my friends planning a trip to Xiamen.

GGuest UserThe experience of this homestay is great! The location of the Binfenli B&B is excellent, the surrounding scenery is beautiful, and the travel is convenient. The room design is unique, the layout is warm and elegant, the facilities are all available and the quality is excellent, the bedding is soft and comfortable, and it makes people sleep well all night. The hotel staff is warm and hospitable, the service is thoughtful and intimate, you can feel the warmth of home here, I highly recommend it to everyone, I will choose this homestay next time!
MM52354****Located inside Zengcuo'an, the restaurant is right downstairs with plenty of food options, making it a great location for those who enjoy shopping and dining. I recommend Mr. Zheng's Restaurant, which also has a branch in Zengcuo'an; their seafood hot pot is delicious, and the service is excellent. The mango sticky rice and sliced meat downstairs are also very tasty. Just outside, there's Zengji Seafood Congee Breakfast Shop, whose congee and oyster omelet are quite good and suitable for breakfast. The beach is about a 10-minute walk away, and you can walk to the music square where there's live music in the evening. The sand is fine, with pebbles and small crabs, which kids enjoy. For the ferry to Gulangyu Island, we booked the 9:10 am ferry, so we had to leave early as the roads are very congested. It took about 50 minutes to reach the pier. We booked a family room, which had two rooms available. It was fine for a family of three with my mother. Everything was disposable and very clean, although the bathroom had a slight odor.
GGuest UserI'm so glad I chose this five-star hotel; the entire stay was simply perfect and far exceeded my expectations! From the moment I arrived, I was met with impeccable and personalized service. The concierge warmly assisted with my luggage, and the front desk staff greeted me with a smile, promptly handling my check-in. The entire process was smooth and efficient. What truly stood out was the exceptional service mindset of the entire hotel team. Everywhere I went, staff would stop, smile, greet me, and proactively ask if I needed any assistance. This genuine and heartfelt service truly made me feel completely at home.
GGuest UserFrom my experience at 4 different accommodations in the Jinjiang/Quanzhou area, I have come to learn that the cleanliness (or rather, lack thereof) at this hotel is typical of this area at this price range. So I don’t want to make it sound worse than it deserves.
That said, the first thing I saw when I entered the room was a gross-looking tangle of hair on the floor. I sent a WeChat message to the person managing it, and to their credit they were very apologetic and sent someone to clean it up, which they did (I was gone at the time). When I got back, though, I was disappointed that although that particular tangle of hair had been cleaned up, the rest of the floor still had visible dust and who-knows-what on it. I ended up seeing a broom and dustpan in the hallway against another door, and I decided to briefly borrow it and quickly sweep my own floor so I didn’t have to feel like it was gross. After that it was ok.
Also, there was a sort of dank, unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom, which I believe is from the drain. The toilet is the kind that you are not supposed to flush toilet paper down (instead put it in the bin next to the toilet), so it’s also possible the smell was the result of that system after the previous occupant’s stay. There is a water problem in the bathroom such that when you take a shower, water ends up sitting in a kind of puddle on the floor near the sink, so it’s hard for the bathroom to ever be entirely dry, which no doubt also adds to the difficulty of keeping the bathroom smelling fresh.
The room itself was big and included a washing machine, which was very helpful! There was a little kitchen area and a kettle and such. Water bottles were supplied every day. The bed was comfortable and clean.
There was a sofa and a coffee table, and another sort of recliner seat near the window. Unfortunately the coffee table looked dirty (some sort of sticky residue on it) from the last occupant, so I didn’t want to put anything on it.
The location is right next to the Jinjiang airport, which is of course convenient for arriving or departing by plane. Checkin was done via WeChat - I just told them I had arrived, and they sent me a code for the door. There was no one at the front desk when I arrived, but I can’t say for sure that no one is ever there. Possibly if I had waited longer someone would have come, I don’t know.
For all the negative comments I had above, I want to repeat what I stated at the beginning - this level of cleanliness is apparently fairly normal for this price range in this area. I still think more effort could and should be put into making it a cleaner and more inviting space for customers, and things like the standing water problem in the bathroom should be fixed to prevent mold growth and such, but it’s also possible I just need to suck it up and spend more money on a better hotel room if I feel that my standard of cleanliness is so important.

MM663618****The Hilton Sanya's facilities are great, but unfortunately, the staff's service quality is really lacking. We had a bit of an unpleasant incident, but later, a supervisor or manager from the hotel resolved it, and their attitude was excellent, which I appreciated. They even gave me a small gift. I forgot my ID in the key card holder of room 5132 when I switched rooms, and the hotel called me to arrange for it to be couriered to my next hotel, which I'm very grateful for. I hope my next trip goes smoothly!

11360195****The hotel's location is excellent, right in the heart of Gulangyu Island. It's tucked away in a quiet spot but still close to Longtou Road, where all the restaurants are, and attractions like Sunlight Rock and Shuzhuang Garden. We stayed in Building 9, which was very peaceful. It hardly felt like the bustling National Day holiday, but as soon as we stepped out of the hotel, we were met with throngs of people – truly two different worlds! The hotel has a private back exit for guests that leads to a quiet beach with very few people. The kids absolutely loved it, braving the heat and strong sun for over two hours, catching several small crabs.
The hotel used to be a government retreat and is now open to the public. While the facilities and decor are a bit dated, you can tell the original fixtures are still of good quality. The room even came with tea ceremony tools, and the kids had a blast playing tea master – the Dahongpao tea was delicious.
The hotel service is outstanding. They offer exclusive shuttle transfers from the ferry terminal to the hotel when you arrive and depart. If you're heading straight to the ferry after sightseeing, you can arrange a time with the hotel, and they'll deliver your luggage to the terminal, allowing you to enjoy your day worry-free. The staff are also incredibly helpful; knowing the kids wanted to play on the beach, they even brought sand-digging tools. When we encountered a staff member on the road and asked for directions to the beach, he simply walked us all the way there. We genuinely loved this hotel and highly recommend it.
GGuest UserMy favorite hotel on this trip is this one. The price is super! The hotel staff can also upgrade the sea view room. The sea view is very good. From check-in to check-out, every staff member makes me feel at home. The facilities in the room are also very comfortable, the mattress is soft and the shower water is strong. Moreover, the location of the hotel is also very convenient, there are many delicious restaurants and attractions nearby. I will stay here next time I come to Xiamen and recommend it to my friends.
MM668098****The hotel environment is excellent with complete facilities, and the location is superb! It's super close to Zhongshan Road, you can walk right out to explore中华城 (Zhonghuacheng), and it's also very near the beach. It's fantastic to be able to step out and immediately be at a scenic spot when you're traveling. The service is also incredibly good; the front desk staff were warm, patient, and meticulous in helping me with my questions. Highly recommended! I'll definitely stay at Yishang again next time. Awesome!
1118618****This environment is truly a hidden paradise, with lush green trees intertwining with clear streams, and the sound of birdsong filling the air. Every step you take feels in sync with nature's rhythm. Their service is meticulous, paying attention to every detail, and with their sincerity and professionalism, every guest feels the warmth and comfort of home.
