Great location and a genuinely very nice room. The bed was comfortable, the shower was good, and overall the room itself was a very pleasant place to come back to after long days exploring Chongqing. The location was also excellent for getting around the city. The downsides were mostly around the building setup rather than the room itself. The hotel occupies part of a shared building, which meant security felt a bit lacking, as anyone could access the floors where guest rooms were located. Reception staff were professional, but came across as rather cold and overly serious rather than welcoming. The biggest frustration was the lifts. There were only three servicing the building, and they were painfully slow. Waiting 10–15 minutes for a lift wasn’t unusual, and once inside, they seemed determined to stop at almost every floor on the way down. Overall, a good stay thanks to the room and location, but the building access and dreadful lifts would make me think twice.

I stayed in a suite room during my trip, and the room was incredibly spacious, clean, and comfortable. Everything was very well maintained, and I had a really pleasant stay from beginning to end. The reception staff were especially kind and helpful. They lent me a power adapter when I needed one, helped receive my food deliveries, and were always very friendly whenever I had questions or requests. They even offered me a complimentary late check-out until 2 PM, which I really appreciated. The breakfast was also excellent. I ended up eating Chongqing noodles every morning for three days because they were so delicious! I’ve been staying in different hotels while living in China for the past three months, and honestly, this has been the best hotel experience so far. The service, cleanliness, comfort, and overall hospitality were all outstanding. I would definitely stay here again next time. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience!

The 'what have i done?' feeling i had as i rode the older, slower, and busy lift all the way up to the 41st floor where i was confronted by a slightly scary and intimidating unfinished hallway, all quickly disappeared after I had located the hotel's segmented area of that floor through the glass door with keypad access code and opened the door to my room. While the decor is more 80s/90s style (in my eyes), it is VERY tidy and comfortable and pleasant, and the bath was very useable with a view straight down to the monument on the Jiefangbei pedestrian street. It has a very open bathroom style, so it's not for those who value bathroom privacy but it was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The best thing in my eyes, and quite frankly the biggest surprise given the extremely low price of this room, was the daily cleaning service. It was excellent! I came home to a clean, fresh feeling room with enough toilet paper and fresh towels every day! Thank you!! The result is, i stayed four days here and loved it, and the position is perfect for those wanting to explore Chongqing. I highly recommend it to other travellers.

The hotel is incredibly convenient, located in the same building as the Eye of the Cloud, offering great value for money. My room on the 54th floor provided stunning views of Chongqing, including the 'Hello, Chongqing' cityscape at night. You'll need to check in on the 47th floor first, then take another elevator up to the 54th.

Really enjoyed the stay here <3 The design is really retro and comfy! Spacious room, very neat and clean; the service is definitely the top notch quality as they always make sure that we’re comfortable with our stay/ experience. Always online and reachable through WeChat. Also, they provide local guide on food and places to visit! And the staff are so kind, when we leave they asked us about our following trip and make sure we keep hydrated during our journey by providing us drinks (foc) on the road. Would definitely book here again if I ever visit ChongQing again! Plus, the location is just nice where you can walk around all the street food are just a-lift away; take the hotel lift down, and boom you’re on the street with loads of food!

This has definitely become my favorite hotel in Chongqing! I'd crown S. Island High-Rise Riverview Hotel as the most, most, most satisfying hotel I've stayed at so far. The front desk ladies deserve a lot of credit for this; their perfect service made us feel right at home. The cleaning staff were also fantastic, making our room feel perfectly clean and tidy every time we returned, like checking into a fresh room. They provided us with a truly wonderful stay experience. Furthermore, the hotel's room types and location are excellent. You can see Chongqing's incredibly beautiful night view, allowing us to enjoy it while soaking in the bathtub. Downstairs is the Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street, making its location superb for shopping, dining, and sightseeing. The experience was 100% perfect! The hotel's bedding was also great; the bed was large and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to Chongqing! 💕💕💕

Walling Hotel was a great stay! The hotel staff were very accommodating and had great customer service. They helped us with an earlier check in as we had an early morning flight in to Chongqing, helped give us some bread for an early morning tour we had the next day, and were generally very pleasant and helpful. The facilities were pretty good too - water pressure in the room was very good and the shower water temperature could stay hot for long, the beds were comfortable, the air conditioning was very cold, and the room was very clean. Hotel breakfast was Chongqing cuisine, which included Chongqing noodles (vegetarian and non-spicy option was available), fried eggs, rice porridge, and mantou. The hotel is walking distance to Jiefangbei pedestrian street (less than 10 minutes walk) as well as Hongyadong (around 5-7 minutes), and less than 5 minutes walk away from Guixin Tower (of the ”1st floor but also 22nd floor” fame). Would definitely recommend a stay here! PS: say hi to their hotel 老板 when you're there!

Stayed 4 nights in different room types. Riverview room is quieter while we could hear more traffic sounds in the cityview room but nothing too disturbing. Check-in was smooth and staff were kind to help with transfer of luggage from one room to another when we had to make a room change. In fact, staff is always welcoming and ready to help, even setting up a WeChat communications channel. Hotel location is a 5min walk to liberation square, 7min walk to metro red line and Didi drop-off is in front of the hotel entrance. There were a few other hotels sharing the same building so it may be a bit confusing on check-in. Rooms were very spacious and clean. But we could see that the property is running a bit old. Hotel breakfast was good and has enough options and variety for 3 days. Overall a good stay!

This hotel is super conveniently located, just about 200 meters from Jiefangbei. You're within easy reach of attractions like Bayi Food Street, Shibatil Cultural Park, and Mountain City Trail. Hongyadong is a bit further out, but still accessible. The room amenities are great, and they even have self-service laundry. What's really nice is that the front desk offers free luggage storage after check-out. So, if your flight is delayed, you can go explore a bit more before coming back for your bags. I was very satisfied with my stay and highly recommend it!

PpogbackMy stay in an executive room during this Chongqing trip was absolutely flawless from start to finish. It offered an unparalleled experience, making it an excellent choice for a holiday or extended stay in Chongqing. Everything far exceeded my expectations, providing comfort and a sense of calm throughout. What truly impressed and won me over was the Regent Hotel's meticulous and thoughtful service, easily making it the benchmark for high-end hotel service in Chongqing. From the moment I arrived for check-in, the staff were professional, gentle, and impeccably polite. The doorman warmly greeted me, assisted with parking and luggage, and handled everything with gracious humility. The front desk check-in process was efficient and quick, with staff patiently explaining hotel facilities, guest benefits, and local sightseeing tips. The communication felt natural and comfortable. Throughout my stay, the entire team maintained a high standard of service, responding promptly and thoroughly. Room cleaning was meticulous and attentive, with amenities, mini-bar drinks, and local snacks replenished daily. The room was spotless, tidy, and pleasantly fragrant. All requests were handled quickly and appropriately, with attentive service that wasn't intrusive, perfectly embodying the quality of a top-tier luxury hotel. I felt completely at ease and comfortable the entire time. My executive room had an exceptional overall feel, with an open and airy layout and a spacious ambiance. The decor blended elegant Chinese aesthetics with modern minimalist luxury design, creating a sophisticated yet warm atmosphere. The layout was well-designed, and the soft furnishings were exquisite. The warm lighting created a soothing ambiance. The room's soundproofing was excellent, ensuring quiet and privacy, leading to superb rest. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offered unrivaled views of the confluence of the two rivers and the Yuzhong Peninsula cityscape. Whether relaxing or soaking in the tub, I could enjoy the riverside view, immersing myself in the mountainous city's scenery. The bedding was soft, skin-friendly, and incredibly comfortable. The bathroom featured a dry/wet separation, and premium toiletries were well-stocked. The executive room's exclusive mini-bar was refreshed daily with complimentary drinks and snacks. Various thoughtful daily essentials were perfectly provided, with attention to every detail, making for a luxurious and pleasant living experience. The dining experience was equally outstanding, with dishes that excelled in color, aroma, and taste, balancing both quality and flavor. The hotel offered a rich selection of meals, catering to both local Chongqing flavors and exquisite Western cuisine. The buffet breakfast had a wide variety of fresh ingredients, including regular Western pastries, hot dishes, congee, and fresh fruit drinks, as well as authentic Chongqing noodles and pea and meat sauce noodles, full of local character. Executive room guests also enjoyed exclusive executive lounge benefits, including breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening happy hour. The food was exquisitely prepared and diverse, in a quiet, less crowded setting, offering greater privacy and a full sense of exclusive treatment. Additionally, the hotel's main dining options, specialty hotpot, and the Two Rivers Bar on the 7th floor are all worth experiencing. The ingredients are premium, and the cooking is done with care. The Two Rivers Bar boasts a prime view of the river at night, offering a double delight for both sight and taste with the evening breeze and delicious food. The hotel's public facilities were comprehensive and well-maintained. The high-altitude heated swimming pool was quiet and uncrowded, allowing me to swim while enjoying river views. The gym had professional and well-equipped machinery to meet daily workout needs. The spa and relaxation areas were well-appointed, perfect for unwinding after a tiring journey. The public areas exuded elegant style, with a sophisticated fragrance, creating a tranquil and refined environment where every snapshot looked like a professional photograph. Overall, my impression of the stay was that Regent Chongqing enjoys a prime location with unparalleled views of the two rivers, complemented by impeccable, thoughtful service, excellent dining, a high-quality executive room environment, and comprehensive facilities. Everything was executed to perfection. With the added executive privileges, the overall value for money and comfort were significantly enhanced, creating a tranquil and luxurious sanctuary in the bustling mountain city. Next time I visit Chongqing, Regent Chongqing will still be my top choice, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to friends traveling or vacationing in Chongqing. It's truly worth revisiting.

GGuest UserI forgot to take pictures, but the river view was genuinely great! To the left, there's a big bridge, and to the right, Chaotianmen. Getting around was super convenient; the subway station is right downstairs. Jiefangbei, Hongyadong, the Two Rivers Night Cruise, and Shibati are all nearby. We managed to hit all of them in one afternoon and evening. The front desk service was excellent, and they provided all the toiletries we needed. The only minor downside was that the bathroom door didn't seal well, which caused a bit of water to spill out into the hallway.

GGuli*shiqiI saw this place on ** and decided to book it, and it turned out to be great, exactly as described on **. First, the location is a huge plus. Step out the door, and to your left is the famous Hongyadong in Chongqing, a popular photo spot that you can even see from the hotel. It's only a 3-minute walk to Jiefangbei. Although the lobby is on the 25th floor, it doesn't affect check-in. The rooms are newly renovated and even come with pre-prepared coffee capsules, which is excellent for coffee lovers. I especially want to mention the hotel's linens; they are incredibly soft and comfortable to sleep under. After a day of sightseeing, a good night's sleep here is simply wonderful. Highly recommended!

ZZuihuasuPerhaps it's because I studied at the most authoritative university program concerning Chongqing's history, but I've always been intensely curious about buildings with historical significance, especially hotels that have transformed from them. Whether I'm sitting on the sofa or lying in bed in my room, I can't help but imagine the stories that once unfolded here. While every space, given enough time, surely holds a fascinating past, spaces with explicit historical information make these fantasies more concrete, or less ambiguous, by narrowing the scope of imagination. I recall a story about an elderly French woman in the last century who came to the French Navy Barracks on Chongqing's Nanbin Road to search for her birthplace. The Ren'ai Hall, built in 1902 by the French Catholic Church, served as both a church and a hospital. During the Anti-Japanese War, it sheltered abandoned infants, earning it the nickname 'Orphanage' among older Chongqing residents. Where did the children born or raised at Ren'ai Hall go? Did any try to return and explore their past? What did they discover? These imagined scenarios could form a novel, and with a large enough sample size, they might even be true historical events. Regardless, the current Ren'ai Hall, both in terms of its guests' physical and mental state and the hotel's physical space, feels far more relaxed and peaceful than it did in the past. After booking the room, several concierges were responsible throughout the entire process. The whole arrangement was very meticulous, and thanks to these arrangements, I personally had no questions that I needed to proactively ask during my entire stay. Before check-in, the concierge would inform me of the exact drop-off points for various transportation methods, and upon arrival, staff members were there to greet me. If I had a lot of luggage, even more staff would assist. The concierge also pre-booked a travel photography team. Teacher Zihao from Zixuan Photography, who handled our travel shoot, was very professional, both in his understanding of light and his ability to capture fleeting moments. A tip for friends who plan to do their own hair and makeup before the shoot: pay close attention to the final effect (the photography team has their own hair and makeup artists who can do it at the hotel, but due to time constraints, I did my own before check-in). It was my first time getting professional makeup, and I had no experience, so the result was so drastic I barely recognized myself, which unfortunately wasted many good photos. The afternoon tea was unremarkable, but whether it was breakfast, afternoon tea, or the evening sweet soup, a concierge could deliver it to the room. As for the room's interior design and the hotel's scenic views, I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. (P.S.: Luckily, my room was upgraded to the Qiongyu Fanhua Suite, which I heard is the same one a certain celebrity stayed in.)

GGuest UserThe environment and service at Xiannvshan National Forest Park Bayu Homestay are both top-notch. The guesthouse offers pick-up and drop-off services to and from the scenic area entrance. Upon arrival, you're greeted by a tranquil courtyard surrounded by lush mountains and clear waters. The fresh air carries a faint scent of flowers and earth. The guesthouse features a modern minimalist design, with wooden pavilions and intricately carved window frames; every detail showcases the unique charm of the local culture. In terms of service, the staff are warm and attentive, from the thoughtful check-in guidance to meticulously planning sightseeing routes for guests, reflecting their genuine care. Here, you can savor authentic Bayu cuisine and experience a home-like warmth. In the morning, as the first rays of sunlight hit your window, you can stroll through the forest and embrace nature's bounty. GGuest UserAs a Marriott 'boutique' brand, the Moxy Chongqing truly exceeded my expectations! The overall vibe is relaxed and vibrant. On the 29th floor, there are arcade games and board games, so waiting to check-in was far from boring. The room design is very thoughtful; the folding table and coat hooks are practical and save space, and there are plenty of USB ports, making charging super convenient. The 24-hour gym and self-service laundry room are such thoughtful touches – no worries at all about laundry when you're on a business trip or vacation. The breakfast spread is rich and varied, even offering local Chongqing noodles, really showcasing the local flavor. The staff were incredibly friendly and responsive to requests, and the late check-out option was a very humane touch!

GGuest UserThe room was very spacious overall, and although the furnishings were a bit dated, they were well-maintained. We also booked an executive twin room at the same time, and the hotel front desk was very thoughtful, arranging our rooms next to each other and opening up the connecting door to create a communicating suite, which made staying with family much more convenient. The hotel facilities were also excellent; the kids had a great time in the pool! The snacks at the executive lounge were quite good and tasty. Just a small suggestion: the breakfast selection could be a bit richer.

AAnonymous UserExcellent service. Excellent location. Near the BRT (which we took only once). The service apartment is located in a block (that also had another hotel entrance), where the entrance to Fandiao is hidden from the main road. But aside from that, the building is noticeable and is the first tall building just before the viewing deck for the Qiansimen bridge and just before Hongyatong, as traffic flows (one way). My specific booking for this room was for a Saturday night - a one night extension - and we chose the Hongyatong view, as our original room was already booked. We could see the massive crowds from our window view out there at and around Hongyatong and on the Qiansimen Bridge on the May 1 weekend But the previous 4 nights, we were booked under my husband's name, and that room allowed us to see the drones show from the comfort of our large and beautiful room. That first room had a wall-to-wall window, that allowed us a view of the river, a block of apartments right in front of us, and some street views. There are pros and cons to different rooms. The drone show is on weekends. If you are not on weekends, the HongYa Tong view is nicer, but only my first room (which was much larger at 40 sq metres) had a long window seat which was lovely. I share a few photos, one with a view of Hongyatong (this booking, and from the other room, where we could see the drone show. Remember they are different rooms. But you could easily come downstairs and watch the drones from the little corner outside the lobby. There's still a crowd, but you could see the drones rising to the sky. The customer service was excellent, for some reason, we were first given paper disposable towels in our first room, and I rejected that for cloth towels which were then given to us. The reception is on the 19th floor, and all the service personnel were willing to please (communicate via WeChat, with translation). And always asked if there were things they could do. Some idiosyncrasies (from a Malaysian view). They have glasses in the room but no cups/mugs for making tea the conventional English way, but the customer service brought cups with handles when we asked for them. No tea or coffee sachets provided but there were bottles of water and soft drinks, which we didn't take. I think it may be the context where soft drinks (in th fridge) were deemed more suitable and glasses were provided more for soft drinks. I had brought some 3-in-1 coffee sachets all the way from home just in case, that seemed providential when we checked in. Corridors in front of the lifts on the floors are motion sensored, so we were at first surprised by the darkness when the lift opened, but we got used to it. You have to decide whether you support energy efficiency or not. 😂 All in, we had a memorable time in Chongqing, thanks also to Fandiao. I would go and stay again and recommend it. Just bear in mind that the road right in front of the hotel is closed to the traffic at night on weekends (and likely public holidays). Plenty of food nearby, and beautiful spots for photos. There's also a Lawson store across the bridge 100 metres away where we bought our sandwiches, buns, oden, and coffee, for snacks.

GGuest UserI rarely write reviews, but this time I absolutely have to give a huge shout-out to this thoughtful B&B. After much deliberation online, I finally chose this highly-rated place. As soon as I landed in Chongqing, the host texted me a detailed guide to Chongqing, complete with tips and注意事项 (things to pay attention to), and all my worries instantly vanished. The room was fully equipped, and there was a spacious living room for relaxation and entertainment. The washing machine had a built-in dryer, and the mattress was super soft and comfortable. If we needed anything else, we could just contact the front desk and have it delivered to our room. Our stay was absolutely fantastic. The B&B is located in a quiet spot amidst the hustle and bustle, with great views from the high floor. Transportation was incredibly convenient; it was less than a 10-minute walk to attractions like Hongyadong and Jiefangbei. There are also two subway lines right outside for easy travel, and both the train station and airport are within a 30-minute taxi ride. Most importantly, the service was an absolute game-changer and deserves special praise. It's clear that the entire service team puts a lot of effort into running this B&B. Five people looked after just the two of us! The staff were always ready to answer our questions, responded promptly, and were genuinely warm and enthusiastic, which really touched us. Such attentive service made our stay in Chongqing incredibly enjoyable for several days. If I ever come back to Chongqing, I will definitely choose Kongshan B&B again. Go for it, everyone!
