Peppers Soul Surfers Paradise
4.4/569 Reviews
Peppers's apar**ents have always been my target (actually under Accor). I have only experienced them once in New Zealand's Lake Tekapo in all these years, and I have never forgotten them. The interior of Peppers this time is still the same as my impression many years ago, and I was not disappointed. Location: It is right on the beachfront of Surfers Paradise, close to the beach, five minutes walk to the light rail, and three minutes to the nearest WWS supermarket; WWS in the circle is also five or six minutes away, and there is also a Coles within ten minutes' walk; downstairs is the commercial center, with all kinds of food and drinks; next to it is the Hilton / Ochard where I stayed last time Facilities: The kitchen facilities are relatively complete and new, very easy to use, with a full set of stoves, refrigerators, ovens, dishwashers, microwaves, and other equipment, including washing machines and dryers (see the pictures); just for this kitchen, I plan to cook in the house every day these days. The various semi-finished products in the supermarket are very convenient. I go out to buy them every day and bring them upstairs to cook directly. My teammates said that the scenery of the sea view restaurant outside is not as good as the first-line sea view without obstruction in our room. Room: I booked a one-bedroom apar**ent, about 120mm, but it is actually a three-bedroom apar**ent with the other two locked up. The balcony is very large, with a large dining table on the balcony, facing east, suitable for watching the sunrise in the morning, and hiding from the sun and watching the sea on the balcony in the afternoon; the master bedroom has a 1.8-bedroom bed (I asked about this and it cannot be separated into twin beds), the bathroom design is relatively reasonable, with a large walk-in closet, and relatively separated from the bedroom. The large window in the bathroom allows you to soak in the spa and watch the sea view; the living room and the master bedroom are also relatively independent, and you can move around independently in the living room with the door closed; open sea view kitchen Service: Serviced apar**ent with lobby, daily cleaning service available, public indoor and outdoor swimming pools, rooftop garden, barbecue facilities, gym, restaurant and other public facilities

Mantra Esplanade

Cairns City
We really enjoyed staying at Mantra Esplanade. The only thing I’d mention to sun lovers is that the hotel pool has no sun during the whole day (we were there in June 2021) so went for a swim to the lagoon across the road instead.
Daydream Island Resort
3.8/5119 Reviews
We came to Day dream island, to celebrate. Apon arriving, we where informed of a room upgrade. Being extremely excited, we go to our room to find a full skip bin right under our nose and the room had a musty smell. We opened the room turned off AC and let it air. The room had no map or compendium with information on the resort activities or menus etc. Info on the tv was noted but limited. We did receive a bottle of champagne thank you we took this to lover's Cove The staff, we meet over our stay where nice and professional many being new. The restaurants presented clean and tidy Ink asain inspired was our favourite. Boasting to others of the delishus menu. After finding lovers Cove and taking in its beautiful scenery. We noticed a shortage of chairs an tables for couples to enjoy the sunset. (Maybe more promotional information on this for couples wine and chesse plates etc to be offered to boost sales, and little bean bags as a romantic scene after snorkellingclosing. We also noticed couples leaving as the toilets where far away and some returning to there room for this.. swim up pool bar was great and stocked well. Again the staff here where amazing. As we had plenty of time on the island and checking out the southern end, out door cinema second pool and shops. This would be a great backpackers platform to fill a market opportunity. Overall our stay great. We have talked, and if the opportunity came up of living and working as a couple both being from management food, customer focused backgrounds we would be highly motivated
Mantra on View Surfers Paradise
4.3/574 Reviews
Stayed recently during the week so no noise from Cali beach club next door. In fact perfectly quiet once balcony door was shut. But hey, your in Surfers Paradise so you can't expect absolute silence. Rooms were a bit in need of a paint but so what. It was immaculately clean, smelt lovely and was cheap as well. Bathroom amenities smelt beautiful. Big containers of shampoo and conditioner and body lotion and bath gel/ hand wash. I didn't have to use any of my own supplies except toothpaste and toothbrush. The girls on reception were extremely kind and welcoming. I would definitely stay again.
Ultiqa Shearwater Resort
4/584 Reviews
I went for a short getaway with my mother to ULTIQA Shearwater. We were met with friendly staff at the hotel who were extremely accomodating by ringing us when our room was ready so we could check in earlier. This was greatly appreciated. We requested an ocean view room in advance and our request was met. We were on level 6 in what looked like a newly refurbished room. The room was clean and comfortable with an outstanding view!! The breakfast included is only a small amount of options but I think the meals it’s self are generous and had a good range. We really enjoyed our stay and would come again. . The staff were wonderful, the room was great and the location was outstanding.
Hotel X Brisbane Fortitude Vly, Vignette Collection - an IHG Hotel
4.4/5107 Reviews
Whilst our stay in the Hotel X Suite was pleasant, there was nothing memorable about it. The suite was spacious, fitted with modern conveniences (ie. electric blockout curtains, Dyson hairdryer, zip tap and smart tv) and was generally comfortable. Unfortunately, the bathroom lacked privacy as it overlooked the street and directly faced another building across the road so the blinds were always drawn preventing natural light from coming in. Also, there is no separate toilet with lockable door. Although, the toiletries were nice and the shower quite spacious. Service was friendly but lacked a personal touch. Breakfast at Bisou Bisou had a limited menu but the food was overall good. The rooftop bar (Iris) had great views, a good tapas menu and relaxing vibe. The location of the hotel is convenient, within walking distance of the buzzing James Street precinct and a short car ride to the city centre.
JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa
4.6/5148 Reviews
We stayed at the JW Marriott in June 2022 for a family vacation. Cons: The first night I woke every hour from the bed as it was extremely uncomfortable and hurt my back. I could feel the springs and woke up in pain. The next day they put a mattress topper on it which made it bearable but still the worst bed i have slept in in a hotel. I stripped the bed one night as my son had an accident and was disgusted to find the mattress looked old, dirty and sunken in. It really let down the whole room (which was otherwise gorgeous). I had ordered loose balloons for my Mother in laws birthday for her room upon arrival. These were just dumped in the room in a bunch and not actually untied losing the effect and making it a waste of money. Pros: The pool area is amazing, the cocktails are great and the whirl pool is warm enough to swim in even in winter! The pool with the fish was slightly cooler but I am told still heated. There are waiters that will bring your drinks to you and take your order. The sandy area is great for toddlers. Food & Drink at Chapter & Verse is amazing and the service was great. Misono is well worth a visit and was our highlight! Buffett breakfast has everything you could want however I have stayed at another Marriott hotel that allowed you to order your eggs to order. This would be a welcome addition here. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. Shout out to Robert, Georgia and Johnathan. We had connecting rooms which was awesome but the door does open outwards and take up a lot of room in the small hallway. If you are not a member of Bonvoy it is well worth joining up at the beginning of your trip. Overall it is a beautiful hotel and we would return, however the bedding situation really let it down and needs to be upgraded.
Binna Burra Sky Lodges
4.4/511 Reviews
This was my 2nd time staying at the Binna Burra Sky Lodges, after the bushfires hit the Binna Burra Lodge in 2019. It was fortunate that the Sky Lodges seemed relatively unscathed by the bushfires that ravaged the park. The Sky Lodges are beautifully furnished, with lots of beverages, utensils, laundry facilities and a spa bath. The only limiting aspect of service is that there were no bathroom slippers provided to shield our feet from the stone cold floor. Due to unforeseen work circumstances, a personal friend who was supposed to drive us up to the Sky Lodge, and accompany us on a bush walk had to cancel on us about a week before our booking. I called the property hotline and Lodge duty manager, Pip was really responsive to recommend a private transport operator to ferry us up from Nerang Train Station to Binna Burra and back. As we arrived at Binna Burra, I was surprised to find that the check-in for the Binna Burra Sky Lodges has moved to the Teahouse, which is about 200-300 metres down the road from where the Sky Lodges were located. Thankfully, we had an awesome duty manager, Justine who allayed our concerns- allowing us to deposit our bags as we embarked on a hike to Daves Creek Circuit. She also had to manage and deal with my unreasonable, demanding father who dropped out early in the hike and hounded her for our whereabouts when we were uncontactable due to poor signal reception. When we checked-in at reception, Justine provided exceptional customer service by driving us up to the Sky Lodges and porting our heavy bags into the room. She also approved of us checking-out by leaving our keys in room, instead of having to lug all our belongings down to reception.
Tiki Hotel Apartments Surfers Paradise
4.1/5133 Reviews
Hotel very dated, and in need of refurbishment. All parts of hotel dirty and smelly. Id say little to no maintenance done on outside. Gardens dead, urgent need of all areas water blasted. Pool area very aged, with broken tiles. Not tidied up each day with chair cushions left scattered eveywhere. Inside rooms very smelly, like 40 years of scale cigarette smoke. 40 year old spa bath that you had to climb in to shower. TV that didnt work in bedroom. Not smart tv in lounge room, so no access to netflix etc only free tv. Booked in for 3 people. Only 1 bed made up. When we rung reception to have other beds made up, we were told it would cost extra. When we were in elevator, it stopped on another floor and a worker got in with a cleaning trolley. Clearly there was no room for him, but he just kept pushing his trolley into us, until we were jammed between the wall and his trolley so he could close the door. He was very arrogant and and clearly didnt care about us as guests. If you want a quiet nights sleep, this is not the place. As the building is 40 year old, original single glazed windows where you hear everything. Fire station, police etc just around the corner, so sirens constantly all day and night. Traffic noise also very loud. Overall id rate our stay as a 1, only because of the location. Very handly to surfers shops, beach and restaurants.
