Good at a certain level, with a price of less than 500 baht, it's a shame it's a little far from the city, but overall it's still okay.
Tokyo Hotel

To be fair, the low score for this hotel is unrealistic. This is a very old hotel, and old-fashioned wall clocks can be seen in the stairwell. Although the style is like a guest house, in terms of price and facilities, it is much better than an ordinary guest house. The location is the biggest advantage here (it is very close to the ancient city and is convenient to Nakhon Ratchasima terminal 2 bus station and Nakhon Ratchasima train station). The rooms are being renovated. The one I stayed in is obviously bright, spacious and clean, and the shower heads are new. The bed is extremely soft (people who like hard beds may not be used to it), but I personally find it very comfortable. In addition, I don’t need an air conditioner (the air conditioners in Thailand are too cold), so I am very happy to have a fan room, a large ceiling fan, which can be turned on to 3rd gear to make people cover themselves tightly with quilts, and a screen window for ventilation and insect control. The only drawback is the bar diagonally opposite, which is busy until 12 o'clock every night. Fortunately, I am tired from traveling, so this noise no longer affects me.
Sawairiang Place

The place was an excellent value for money, and was in good location within walking distance to The Mall of Korat. Not easy to find the place unless familiar with the surroundings, which meant a 60 Bath Tuktuk ride for a very short distance from the station on day of arrival. Room was kept clean and all staff were friendly. Cons: 1. Very hard bed that took me at least 2 nights to get used to it. (Seems like it is norm as checked 3 others guesthouses plus other hotel on my 2nd day and all had hard beds). 2. Stray dogs roaming around on the hotel premises that were barking on me when I was leaving early on Sunday for my half-marathon race. 3. No restaurant on site (other than a café selling drinks etc.). But plenty of places nearby including a 7 eleven a few metres away.
