"Perfect location, lovely hosts, beautiful room with vintage furniture and super soft blanket! Very authentic. During the day time it’s super loud because of the amount of tourists, but staying in this place gives you unique opportunity to explain the town in the very early morning or very late evening (the lights switch off at 23:00). The room can seem small, but it’s old town, it can’t be different:) Unfortunately there was no tea provided, that’s sad for tea-famous country, maybe should be improved. Other than that – my stay was amazing☺️"

"Opening the window reveals a picturesque江南 (Jiangnan) scene with small bridges and flowing water. The room was clean and cozy, and the thoughtful touches like the smart toilet and 100-inch projector were definite bonuses. But what truly stood out was the owner's incredible hospitality – sending travel tips in advance, picking us up from the intersection, and even delivering fresh fruit daily. It felt just like visiting an old friend's home. The location is also fantastic, tucked away in a quiet spot yet only a few minutes' walk from Shantang Street. Hotel near Dongguan Street/Pishi Street,Yangzhou
The Jiyuan Inn was founded on January 8, 1912 (the first year of the Republic of China). The term "Jiyuan" comes from the "Old Stories of the Sun" written by Zhao Jishi, a famous scholar of the Qing Dynasty, and later, there was the famous literary work "Jiyuan Sent". The Jiyuan Inn, as a century-old and time-honored brand, echoes with it. It is truly the only remaining hotel in the Republic of China. The inn employs famous ancient garden masters to repair the old as before, promote cultural heritage, and highlight the past glory. It transforms the 2500 year old civilization and material achievements of reform and opening up of the ancient city into an exquisite meal for folk tourism, adding another beautiful scenery to the old city of Yangzhou, and presenting a period of travel time for tourists. Both are an organic fusion of ancient simplicity and modernity. Among them are the footprints of Zhu Ziqing, Mei Lanfang, Yu Dafu, Uncle Jiang Shangqing, and others who lived in the Republic of China. The hotel will also provide guests staying in Yangzhou with special "three knives" to provide services, such as breakfast buns at the century-old Fuchun Tea House, pedicure and cutting in the Yongning Spring bathroom, and haircuts at the Violet Barber Hall.

"This hotel is located right in the city center, offering excellent transportation links. It's very close to attractions like He Garden, Ge Garden, Dongguan Street, Pishi Street, and Caiyi Street. Being near Maopailou makes grabbing breakfast incredibly convenient. The rooms are clean, tidy, well-laid out, and fully equipped. The bathroom has a great wet/dry separation and no unpleasant smells, and the AC works perfectly. The owner is super friendly and helpful, sending a detailed Yangzhou food and drink guide via WeChat. This guide is comprehensive, covering transportation, distances to attractions, and even categorizes restaurants with map locations, making it very practical. Overall, it was an excellent stay, and I highly recommend it!"

"The inn's location is fantastic, directly across from the Lion Grove Garden, and very close to the Humble Administrator's Garden and Suzhou Museum, making sightseeing incredibly convenient! I had originally booked the smallest room in the inn. When I arrived, I asked the owner if a free upgrade was possible, as many guests had mentioned being upgraded. Without a second thought, the owner immediately upgraded me to the largest room—the service was truly exceptional! The room decor was beautiful, especially the large bed, which perfectly embodies classical Chinese aesthetics. There was also a tatami tea table and a small arhat bed. The front desk even provides a sewing kit for mending clothes, all of which speaks volumes about the owner's excellent service. I'm definitely planning to stay here again on my next trip to Suzhou."

From the hotel, Wuxi Shuofang Airport is approximately 47km away. Wuxi Shuofang Airport is approximately 47km away by road. There's plenty to do nearby, with Meditative Sounds by the Mountain Creeks, Wudeng Lake and Nianhua Bay - "Zen Journey" Performance all within a short distance. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. This Wuxi hotel features parking on site. "Wuxi Nianhua Bay Lianhua Bay Inn Review I stayed at Wuxi Nianhua Bay Lianhua Bay Inn during the cherry blossom season, and my overall experience was great. The inn generously upgraded our room for free, which came with a large balcony overlooking the main street of the scenic area – the view was absolutely fantastic. Upon entering the park, electric carts are available to transport guests and their luggage directly to the inn's doorstep, making the entire process effortless. The inn manager was very kind and even helped us carry our luggage up to the second floor. The room decor was minimalist, and while the facilities weren't brand new, the value for money was perfectly acceptable for the price. The inn boasts an excellent location right on the scenic area's main street. It's a two-minute walk to Nianhua Tower and another two minutes to the performance pool, making it incredibly convenient for catching shows. In fact, it was even more convenient than the Duo Luomi Hotel within the scenic area. However, I did encounter a minor issue: the staff's knowledge about the scenic area's attractions wasn't very detailed. When we asked about the best spots for viewing cherry blossoms, the manager could only give us a general area, not precise directions. On a rainy day, when we inquired about the drone show schedule, they only mentioned a risk of cancellation and advised us to scan a QR code for details. The next day, we asked a different manager about the cherry blossoms in Luming Valley, and they frankly admitted they had never been there and couldn't answer, only suggesting we take the small train. I had assumed the inn could help reserve tickets for the small train, but we were told tickets had to be purchased at the station after 9 AM. We spent two hours enjoying the cherry blossoms first, only to arrive at the station at 9 AM and find ticketing hadn't started yet. The ticket booth didn't open until 10 AM, and tickets weren't actually distributed until 10:30 AM. Thankfully, we eventually got on the small train to Luming Valley, and the experience was surprisingly delightful. It was filled with birdsong and floral fragrance, with very few tourists, allowing us to almost have the entire cherry blossom forest to ourselves. Enjoying the scenery with wind chimes and birdsong created a unique and tranquil atmosphere that you wouldn't find at more popular spots. Overall, the manager's service attitude was good, but their professional knowledge regarding the scenic area's attractions was lacking, which felt a bit confusing. Moreover, most staff members in the scenic area provided imprecise directions. I hope they can improve this through further training. Putting that aside, both the inn and the scenic area are well worth experiencing. The cherry blossoms are breathtaking, and the atmosphere is serene and peaceful. Although I missed the drone show that day, the other live performances were spectacular. The accommodation package included admission to the scenic area, offering excellent value for money. My overall stay was very satisfying."

"Located within the Old East Gate scenic area, this beautiful guesthouse greeted us with a charming creak as we opened the door. The decor blended seamlessly with the old house, and the scent was lovely. On the rooftop, there were adorable little animals, and it was my first time seeing a weasel! However, the 'flower-viewing' attic room can get noisy at night due to its proximity to a bar. We were warned about this before checking in, but if I stay here again, I'll definitely book a different room."

Hotel near Mashan Scenic Area,Wuxi
"I booked a standard room, but during check-in, front desk staff Xu Juan upgraded me to a two-bedroom, one-living room suite in the 'Huajian' area. She asked for a 5-star review with her name and the butler's name after checkout. Since I agreed at the time, I'm fulfilling that promise now. I wonder if by agreeing back then, I forfeited the right to leave an honest review. Saying it was excellent now feels dishonest, but saying it was bad would go against my word. Let me just state the objective facts without giving a personal rating. In the two-bedroom, one-living room suite in the 'Huajian' area, the bathroom door layout is awkward: the sink is behind the bathroom door, so you can't wash your hands without closing it, and to close it, you have to go into the shower area. Many in-room facilities were unused, like the refrigerator, microwave, and sterilizer, and there's no TV in the bedroom, only in the living room. Most tables at the Zen Food Hall for breakfast are round, meaning you usually share tables, and it was extremely crowded during the Qingming Festival holiday. The butler seemed more attentive after I checked out than during my stay."

I arrived in pouring rain. I thought I could walk to my hotel but it was impossible in the downpour. I didn’t want to bother any hotel owner.   I didn’t and still don’t  have an eSIM that can make local  call but thanks to Trip.com, there is a link that I could call the owner for free.  I didn’t advise the owners my arrival time so they were off running errands.  I called the owner to pick me up and thankfully he answered. He was busy but gracious enough to turn around and picked me up. It knew Zhouhuang requires a ticket but I didn’t know that no cars, nor motorcycles, nor bicycles are allowed. Without him I would have arrived the hotel easily.  I always like to meet the owners instead of employees . They were very helpful and answered all my questions. They are honest people who dedicate their  blood and sweat to their business. The owner even offered to walk me to the bus stop  to Suzhou which was my next destination.  This  operates two hotels with 9 in one and 6 in the other. The one that I stayed in with 9 rooms is in a  lively and busy area . Just outside the hotel is a restaurant and there are plenty of places to eat. Inside the hotel is a peaceful oasis where you won’t hear any noise. The location is the best. The other hotel is in a quieter neighborhood a few minutes away. Each of the 15 rooms has it’s own personality, is different and has its distinctive decoration. The owners said they decorated them themselves. I love the decoration and especially the lighting.  After you reserve a room, be sure to contact the owner for the exact address in case you want to arrive on your own. I think it is best to request the owner to take you there because he/she will lead you to the ticket booth to buy tickets. There are a number of bridges so heavy big luggages can be a bit of a challenge .  If you arrive after 5 pm, you can enter free of charge as no one is there to check your ticket. . But once you are inside, and if you choose to leave the area after 8 or 9 am until 5 pm, you have to pay to come back in. You can buy a one day or in my case 3 days pass.  Do check with the owner for up to date information.  The room was quite clean. There were hot water all the time. There were other guests during my stay but they were not noisy at all. I barely heard them. I slept very well during my 3 nights there.  Zhouhuang is really beautiful. There are many canals, bridges, boat rides, good food of all kinds. I had some of the best meals there. In fact , I ate in the same restaurant that serves dumpling twice. One night I had grill (BBQ) meat just outside the entrance for 4 yuans. .  There is decent size supermarket just outside the turnstile and not too far away is a much bigger supermarket. It was there where I bought half a Peking duck for only 32 yuans . The seller sliced the meat and separated the meat from  the bones. The bones he fried so it was crunchy.  It was delicious. There is a theater that offers performances. The night view is great. If you step out your room, you will be overwhelmed in a good sense by the exciting surroundings.  This hotel definitely is one of the best that I have ever stayed in. Look at the beautiful pictures and find one that you like.  I stayed only 3 nights and one of those days I went to Tongli. In my opinion, one should spend at least 2 to 3 full days in  Zhouhuang (and especially this hotel ) savor the ambience. I don’t think Tongli is worth the time because it was twice as expensive and there are not that many canals and boat rides. It is much quieter and has fewer things to see. . The worst is that the sightseeing places require you to show your ticket. After 2 places, I lost mine ticket and I  couldn’t get in the rest of the places. It is unnecessary to require proof of entrance because you can’t enter the area without a ticket.

The proprietress is very good. When you arrive at the store, you invite tea and fruit to talk about the world. The room is also fragrant with lavender and jasmine. It is also intimately equipped with mosquito repellent. Compared with your heart, you rely on your parents at home. Going out depends on friends. It is really happy to be able to make friends like my big sister. Have a chance to come again Yangzhou, I still have to live in this store.

We were very happy that the room we stayed in was very nice and comfortable. This place has a beautiful garden, but unfortunately, we didn't have time to sit in this nice courtyard to enjoy it. There is a nice restaurant linked to this small hotel, we ate our simple dinner there, food is good and cheap. Highly recommended!. Fyi, we have very little interaction with the owners/care-taker (as I only stayed there for 1 night).

Hotel is on Pishi Street, iconic cobbled stones street that is for shopping and photo taking. Hotel staff called the day before checking in, and pulled us into a wechat group that tells us the landmark to take car to, what to do if we drive, and some recommendations for food if we need. They also ask if we have a ETA so that they know and are ready for us. When we reached, their staff brought me to my room, helped me carry my box luggage up to the 2nd floor of the side alley. He helped me set up the aircon (it was originally set to heater mode) and also set up wifi. There is water provided in the fridge at lobby. Apparently the lobby will be locked after 10.30pm and have to access from small side glass door by keycard. Cute and furry cats in the lobby. They provided fruits on the 1st day of stay. Place is convenient and very clean. They provided facial products and even eye masks. Very well put together place and totally justify the price you pay. We just have to wechat them and they will immediately respond. Upon check out, the girl at the counter helped me bring down my heavy luggage again. I had some issues with the lock of the door the 2nd day and they immediately rectified it, and also switched me to a next door room. Thank you to the young chap and young girl at lobby for all the helpful help. Thank you for the lovely stay. Will recommend u to friends if they ask for recs.

The hotel is located within Zhouzhuang Old Town, making it convenient to visit nearby museums. If you enter the old town after 5 PM, you can avoid the entrance fee. The hotel is also situated next to a temple, but unfortunately, the temple is currently under renovation and not open to tourists. One issue to note is the presence of mosquitoes, so be sure to bring insect repellent. Zhouzhuang offers a stunning night view — highly recommended! Don’t miss the boat ride; it costs 220 yuan per ride and can accommodate up to 6 people, including infants.

The landlady was very warm and hospitable! During our stay, she added us on social media and gave us a detailed map showing us how to get to the hotel. Although the hotel isn't large, with only six rooms, the layout was very practical. Even after opening two large suitcases, there was still plenty of space to move around. The rooms were also very cozy and felt like home! If I have the chance to visit Suzhou again, I'll definitely choose your place again! 💕

This inn is in such a beautiful location. I only stayed one night, but definitely want to come back and stay longer. The host was warm and friendly. We connected on WeChat the day before and she provide a waypoint for gps when booking a car. She met up with me in the pedestrian street outside of the town’s gate to guide me in and helped with the luggage. The location is very convenient. This is an ancient town so the street surfaces are stone slabs and uneven cobblestones. But going in is mostly smooth, cross one bridge and the inn is right there, about as close to the entrance and as least hassle as you can get. The waterway in front of the inn is travelled by the row boats whether they’re on the day or evening tour route so there’s plenty to people watch from the balcony. Overall a great place, great host, and highly recommended. Little tip, if you can store luggage at the airport or train station, take only what you need for your stay so you don’t have too much luggage to weigh you down for the trek in and out. The balcony rooms are walkup only.
