We stayed here as a group of 3 for our first time visiting Beijing. The staff are so long and helpful - they really deserve some praise. One of the group members lost something in a shopping centre earlier in the day and they helped us get in contact and arrange for it to be delivered back to us due to the language barrier. Place is very clean and lovely rooms, the staff also re stock your water and toilet paper etc daily. 15 minute walk from Qianmen station. Would definitely recommend!

The hotel is located in the hutongs, in a quiet and peaceful place. There are 2 metro lines nearby and a street with a lot of places to eat. There is also a bus stop and a Wumart supermarket nearby. The staff is very responsive and always helped, although they do not understand English. We spoke through a translator, and understood each other quite well. The water in the room was renewed every day (a bottle of water per person), napkins and toilet paper were added. During the week, the floor was not washed or towels changed even once, but perhaps this is our mistake, because we did not hang out a sign asking for cleaning. A room with a very large window sealed with a matte film, equipped with a roller blind. Small, but with everything you need, including a hairdryer, kettle, heater and air conditioner. Sockets are suitable for a European plug. The toilet is combined with a shower, the ceiling in which is very low, so if your height is more than 180 cm, then you may not be very comfortable. The exhaust fan in the toilet didn't work, when we looked closer we saw the reason - birds had made a nest there šŸ˜… There is a shared kitchen with everything you need, a microwave oven and a refrigerator in the hall. The noise level is quite high, but it didn't bother us at all. There are umbrellas near the entrance that you can use for free. In general, a very good and cozy hotel with a good location for its price, suitable for unpretentious people and those who, like us, do not sit in the hotel all day

The room is quite small, very close to the third hospital, more convenient. It is safe to enter the door and swipe two cards. The only dissatisfaction is that the water output of the bathroom shower is very small and very small, and the water temperature can't go up. The bath is very cold. The room is electric heating. It will not be warm after a while. The air conditioner is also unplugged. It is not so warm.

Nice hotel with a good location. When we were checking-in, hostess gave us free water and helped top-up alipay. There were no problems with communicating in English. The room was pretty small, but had everything we needed. The shower had no curtain or rim, so the floor in the toilet was always quite wet. All in all, would recommend this hotel

I rarely write long reviews, but this homestay made me unable to help post Jiugongge, which is really lingering! The environment is first-rate, in the downtown area without noisy, people feel more comfortable and comfortable, the weather is warmer than winter, but I am very lucky to meet the snow scene ļ½ž The homemade afternoon tea in the store is healthy and delicious, with animal cream, beautiful and delicious, people have a endless aftertaste; the western pizza is roasted absolutely delicious, people's index finger. Not only has accommodation, but also a high-end homestay integrating food, lodging and entertainment. The service is thoughtful and intimate, making people feel at home. The street where the homestay is located is a tourist area. Listening to the boss's statement that the murals of Haisi are worth seeing. Since there is no reservation in advance, this trip is not visible, and it will be made up next time. In short, this homestay is definitely worth recommending, it is a good place for people to yearn for!

The hotel does not have an elevator and has to go up the stairs. The family room is actually less than 15 square meters, and there is no sign of 25 square meters. There is a position in the middle of the two beds that can open the suitcase, and the bathroom has a counter-odor, and the hotel can't solve it. Speaking of the problem, there is a freshener sprayed with more unpleasant smell. The hardware is a flaw. The front desk staff is not bad

GGuest UserThis was a wonderfully unique experience for us living in a (fully renovated) stone house in an ancient village at the foot of the Great Wall. March is a great time to visit if you prefer peace and quiet and few tourists. The inn is quaint and pleasant. The room is small and cozy, and the ambience, including the large bay window overlooking the street and the large wooden beams on the ceiling, makes you feel like you really are living in another era. The inn is located inside the Watertown, so you will need to walk a bit from the entrance of the Watertown. It is centrally located in the Watertown, so you are right in the middle of all the fun and activity. We really appreciated the free luggage service - you drop off your luggage at the entrance when you purchase tickets and enter the Watertown, and they bring your luggage to your inn. Once you’re done enjoying the Watertown and Great Wall, your luggage is waiting for you at the inn. Breakfast at the inn was absolutely delicious - highly recommend trying the wonton soup and the fresh soy milk!

AAnonymous UserStayed for 2 nights in Oct 2024, planned for 1 night to visit around the town itself and another night for the Simatai Great Wall. 1. Location - Inn is located within Gubei Watertown and it is necessary to go through the watertown to visit the Simatai Great Wall. By booking an accommodation within the town gives you discounted entrance price into the town and since we planned to visit the great wall and explore the town itself we have decided to stay for 2 nights (also partly the cost and time to travel there from Beijing). Inn is located near the main square where some performances are held and near a shuttle service stop (free shuttle services within town if you’re staying in an accommodation within town. Overall a good location within town. 2. Room - Booked a family room for 4 (2 single beds in each level). Room is mostly made of wood hence its not really a modern feel and its not really sound-proof which the staff has notified in advance. Room is spacious and bathroom is big. Stairs that goes up to the 2nd level is stable but can be a little steep for seniors. Overall the room is decent. It comes with tomatoes, peanuts and tea as welcome gift. 3. Luggage - There’s a luggage service whereby you can arrange for your luggage to be transported to your hotel from entrance, and from hotel back to entrance. This is definitely needed as the ground in the watertown is not a smooth surface and can be hard to carry your luggages around. 4. Services & breakfast - Staff’s services is really good and efficient! Breakfast is simple but has good variety. There’s the buffet portion which consists of small dishes for porridge, bread, bun, drinks etc. And there’s an alacarte portion where you need to order in advance the night before such as bacon, egg, sausages, noodles etc. i think its a good initiative to avoid wastage. Overall a very good stay and would recommend if you are visiting Gubei Watertown and would like to stay in a more traditional feel.

AAnonymous UserThe inn is in a prime location, 1-2 minutes walk from Sun Moon Island Square. It's the most fun to watch drones at night. At 19:00, I went to watch the water dance show first, and then walked to Sun Moon Island Square. The drone show started in about 5 minutes. I ordered food to the proprietress on WeChat while waiting. After watching the show, I returned to the inn and started eating. After eating, I took a short break and returned to the square to watch the second drone show. It was really smooth throughout the whole process, without taking any detours or wasting a minute. The inn is small. Although the room is not big, it is clean and hygienic, with complete facilities, and very quiet in the off-season. The proprietress is enthusiastic and the boss cooks very delicious food. It was a very happy stay experience.

AAliceOne of the loveliest lodgings I have experienced. The Orchid Hotel is a short walk from the bustling streets, yet it offers a peaceful retreat that feels like your own private oasis. The breakfast at either of their two restaurants is absolutely amazing! The bakery sells delicious bakes and they are hard to resist. The team running the lodging is a thoughtful bunch too. Knowing that I had to leave for the Great Wall at 6.50am, they made sure they had bakes and freshly brewed coffee for me to bring along for my day trip. The map provided by them is informative, thoughtful and extremely useful. Strongly suggest you take a good read and mark out the places you want to visit. Much appreciated Jihan and her team who have made the stay a very pleasant one.

KKimykeThis is a cute tucked-in-a -corner type of hostel. Like a bed and breakfast. The room us a bit cold in December but it didnt deter me from coming back next year around August ir September. Not easy to find off the main road but following the map helps. The husband & wife team are excellent host and accomodating. I had problem ordering a taxi to Beijing and they helped me ordered a local cab within minutes. They went Abode and beyond

GGuest UserIn the hutong, there is the feeling of an old Beijing courtyard. I have a special liking for Beijing hutongs, which are very down-to-earth. The staff are very easy-going. When you ask for directions, the local Beijing uncles and aunts are very welcoming. It is very close to the Ciqikou subway station, and Line 5 and Line 7 are very convenient.

GGuest UserMy favorite B&B is at the foot of the mountain. Brother Xiao Cui is very nice. The room has a rural feel. The balcony is a glass canopy, so it’s really comfortable to bask in the sun. The bed is very comfortable, the food is delicious, and I will bring my children and dogs to play in the future!

SSockeye travels the WorldDuan’s Quadrangle Inn is perfectly located. Within a stone’s throw away, not only is there the ticket office for boat tours and the Simatai Great Wall, you’ll find the entrance to Simatai is right in front of you; the boat tour starts from the dock about 5 metres from the office. You must try Duan’s hot springs (indoor and outdoor) and sauna for a relaxing experience. They provide towels and flippers/sliders, and lockers in the changing room. The morning breakfast buffet was a convenient way to start our day! There were continental as well as Chinese food and drinks. As the restaurant is located on the first floor, we sat in the terrace, overlooking the lake. The staff are polite and helpful. They have a mini shop outside the hot springs section if you forget to bring your waterproof phone holder. Overall, we’ve had a lovely time staying at Duan’s and we would not hesitate to stay again! Enjoy your trip!

SSikadouyangliangFacilities: It's an old hotel, the bathroom smells, the facilities are old, the window can't be closed if it's opened, and can't be opened if it's closed Hygiene: It's clean, don't ask for too much for an old hotel Environment: The environment is not bad, it's very close to the scenic area, there is a cycling route at the door, you can rent a bicycle to go around the lake Service: The room lady is very nice, she went back and forth several times to fix the windows, fix the mahjong machine, and collect the garbage, the front desk is very average The hotel restaurant tastes very good, the grilled rainbow trout is very delicious, I regret going to the restaurant at the door and waiting for a seat for almost an hour, and it's expensive, it's better to eat in the hotel restaurant, the next day at noon, I decisively solved the lunch problem in the hotel
