The Granite Luxury Hotel Penang

Hotel with great location and affordable pricing. This hotel is within 15 minutes walking distance to a lot of great food. E.g. penang road, kimberley street. This particular room comes with a built in sofa area by the window which you can actually sleep there. I asked the housekeeper for an extra set of blanket and I've actually slept there while my kid and my wife slept at the bed. The hotel however doesn't offer breakfast but who needs hotel breakfast when there's so much good food outside. Car park is automated where you just need to drive in and the building will park your car. It's free for hotel guests. Just remember to give your car plate number to the receptionist during check in. Overall, i'll give this hotel 5*. Will definitely return again.

The front desk service of the hotel is very good. It will speak Mandarin and Cantonese. It will tell you where the main push is in Penang. In the evening, you will put sugar on the bed. The parking space is on a first-come, first-served basis. You can buy a parking ticket. The afternoon tea is very good. Very good, a lot of food nearby
Gurney Coast House at Gurney Drive

This is a newly opened hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and clean, very quiet, and free parking at the door. The most important thing is that the boss is very nice, very enthusiastic and speaks Chinese! The location is also top-notch, it is easy to find, and there is a big night market at the door. I'm here to travel. The cause of the epidemic will not go away for a while. I have lived here for a while and I feel very good. I highly recommend it

I guess book the room with view would be perfect than book the deluxe window room. Deluxe room has a window but without sun, not sure if this is the reason caused the room has a smell when we open the door and the towel smell stinky too. Besides, the phone keeps ringing but there is no one when we pick up the phone, in the end we plugged out the line during our stay. And you have to take off your shoes before walk up the stairs to your room. The good point is their location good, walking distance to 1st avenue and a lot good food around the area.
THE CENTURY BOUTIQUE HOTEL (George Town)

Have stayed at many shared rooms in my years of travel, but this place has to be my favourite so far. Apart from the pretty interior aesthetics, the staff here are some of the friendliest people you will meet in Penang. Special shout-out especially to Peter and Pauline who are more than happy to take care of whatever needs you would have, even if it is just a casual conversation with you while you are sitting along the common corridor. Was also lucky enough to have very friendly roommates, with whom I had a lot of funny and chill times chatting late into the night, despire my short stay there. This hotel has everything which is needed to facilitate a relaxing and wholesome atmosphere to facilitate new friendships and stories to be shared between travellers, before we each move on the our next destination. Will definitely be back again should I find myself travelling solo in Penang in future, and hope to relive similar experiences which make solo travelling and staying shared rooms so fun in the first place, and of course to catch with Peter and Pauline again. God bless the both of them, and all the staff who made the stay so memorable
