It’s was my first time at this Sheraton and can says is the best hotel in town so far . Recommended for sure !

I had been hosting at Hotel Plaza São Rafael several times, and I like the hotel to the memory of his love and the city of Porto Alegre since I was a child. However, at this last occasion I found several indices of a reversal in the quality of the hosting, and the staff in general, very heartily and well trained, but some others, clearly without vocation for the hotel industry. In the last place I stayed in a very old room and needed a pension, the bathroom boxing, unexplainedly, was located at the highest point of the floor, causing water accumulation and extravagation outside the boxing at each bathroom. Very uncomfortable dressers. When you arrived at the hotel and until the next day, the card recording system for accessing apartments was not working, which required you to go to the reception every time you were absent to attend a staff member to accompany you until the The hotel was a very good hotel, and the hotel was a good hotel. But to be fair, I emphasise the cordiality and professionalism of all staff at the reception centre, the very good bed and the cleaning of the very good environments.

They were trying to charge for a second guest in the room with a double bed. How weird of them. How can they charge for a second guest in the room if there is no breakfast being served? They said that the reservation was made on a different platform and all that trying to get an excuse for overcharging us. The man at the front desk was pretty rude with us saying “would it be fair to pay double when you are single?” - and even completed “so why would you want us to charge the room for two for you online?” Very weird the attention was horrible… I do not recommend!!! They want to charge for everything separately, ok, good for them. But for the second guest in the room? Is it a HOSTEL then?! Good luck, I am not coming back!

Hotel location & surroundings: Conveniently located in Buchon. There are many shops around, and it is convenient to go to Uber. Check-in, out and response: The check-in time has passed but the room is not ready for you to wait. The staff wasn't very friendly after the late check-in. Friendly staff at check out. Respond differently depending on the hotel staff Room condition: Overall modern and pretty. Great bed with lots of extra futons. It was cold because the weather was winter, but the room was colder than I thought. Please note that there is a lot of mold in the bathroom. The shower is not working properly and water leaks to the side. Hot water comes out very well. Cleanliness outside the bathroom is not bad. Other facilities: Breakfast quality is good. Fruits and various bakeries are available. Good for a relaxing breakfast. There are plenty of places to sit and relax inside the hotel.

We visited this same hotel last year and wrote a 5 star excellent review. Things changed and not for the better. Our week long stay was not entirely enjoyable. While the hotel retains some of the quality, the quality of service and room standards has gone down noticibly. Specifically, wait staff is not attentive as before and even during non peak dining hours, wait times for the first greeting and offer of a drink were long. The food was well done but taste varied between lunch and dinner, dinner being the better meal selecting the same dish. We asked 3 times for the room to be cleaned while we took a break from work. The room was not cleaned when we returned. After ordering room service, tray pick up took 3 hours. Then, when we called back to insist they remove the tray, the restaurant called our room within 5 minutes to find out where thier coffee and not milk thermos was and insisted on knowing exactly what was in the room still. We felt like inmates rather than guests. The room we were in for a week was nothing like the room on the same floor on our first trip. Cheap artificial wood TV shelves replace beautiful dressers and the room felt like a holiday inn rather than an elegant hotel like our last trip. The highlight of our stay was Rosemarie (we think) in housekeeping. She's a delight and obviously a remanent of the old days. Alberto and Taylor in the dining room were the only waiters who made us feel comfortable. One waitress moved around so quickly, we were holding our glasses to be sure they were not taken. Very nervous way of serving tables. Another waitress took so long to serve us with guests, I had to get up 3 times to find help. The bell captains were also excellent and helped greatly. (Maybe they should be put in charge of the front desk and dining room!) If you need to stay in Porto Alegre, you'll want to stay here but be prepared and if you stayed before as we did, prepare yourself for the changes in room quality and service level. Not sure what happened but it's not the same place anymore.

Ótimo custo benefício! O atendimento da equipe da recepção é muito bom! O quarto acomoda tranquilamente um casal. Infelizmente não há frigobar na maioria dos quartos, o que me causou surpresa é um gastinho a mais. Porém o atendimento de quarto foi muito eficiente. Em resumo, eu me hospedaria novamente.

We are on transit to take an early flight and the location of the hotel is near to the airport that’s why we choose to stay here. Overall is good .

The place is beautiful, close to a lot of things. It has been the best equipped kitchen I have seen to today, it has even a drinker. The rooms in common are wonderful. I didn't use the kitchen for any preparation, because my stay was only two days, but it's very complete, the place is very young and with a futuristic footprint. The staff is not behind, they are all in a position, because they are all educated, gentle and requested. They are not ”intoxicated” and limited to their work, they talk to us and still give tips about the city, especially the night (I unfortunately don't remember the name, but we talk about the boat trip of Guaíba and Criciuma, I was not in the room I reserved for retirement, but we were re-allocated to a different (better by signal) but that did not affect anything, on the contrary. I want to go back to Poa and I'm sure that's my only choice for stay.

If you travel for fun, then the price and the enviromento is fine.But if you travel for business, this is one of the worst hotel I have experience, the receptionist has really bad atitude, they dont speak english and they descriminate foreigners. Second, they dont know how to make an invoice correctly with the CNPJ. They misspelled the name or not putting the whole adress correctly. And when i ask to change, they complain and give a bad atittude. I will not reserve this hotel for any of my clientes anymore. If the hotel wants to grow, the receptionists need to receive proper training once in a while. But
