Introduction Sycamore Tree Viewing in Nanjing

Introduction
Some information may have been translated by Google Translate
Nanjing, a city with a long history, is uniquely charming because of its sycamore trees all over the city. As one of Nanjing's iconic landscapes, sycamore trees not only bring fresh air and cool shade to the city, but also become a unique landscape in Nanjing. The sycamore trees in Nanjing, especially the French sycamore (actually the sycamore), have thick and vigorous trunks and lush branches and leaves. In autumn, the leaves turn yellow, and the forest is dyed with colors, which contrasts with the ancient buildings. In Nanjing, sycamore trees can be seen in the Meiling Palace and Xuanwu Lake. There are also several famous "sycamore avenues", such as Lingyuan Road, Linggu Temple Road, and Yihe Road, which are the best places to appreciate sycamore trees. Strolling under the sycamore trees in Nanjing, you can feel the historical and cultural heritage of this city and the unique style of the ancient capital, and feel the warmth and romance brought by the sycamore trees.

Snow in Nanjing ❄️

Getting snowfall in Nanjing is very less and happens once or twice in a year. The mountains are the most beautiful in Nanjing while snowing ❄️🗻. But if you don't want to hike or need some places with easy access then you can consider Confucius temple area, Nanjing 1912 block and Xuanwu lake in Downtown. The pictures I have attached are from Confucius temple and 1912 block. Getting there: Nearest metro station to Confucius temple area is Fuzimiao and Nanjing 1912 block is Daxingong 🚇. All these places are of free entrance and very close to the metro stations #snow #nanjing #travelinspiration #nanjing

Usnisa Palace 🇨🇳 Nanjing-Niushoushan

Usnisa Palace 🇨🇳 Nanjing-Niushoushan

A mountain top surprise!!! When we went to Niushoushan for the afternoon we had no knowledge of what we would find apart from being able to see a large temple and pagoda on the route to the summit. However once we reached the top we saw the domed roof of the Usnisa place, still we had no idea what the building was or what it contained. Once we went inside we travelled down what felt like endless escalators, until we reached the vast prayer room, filled with ornate statues and people worshiping and singing. Around the outside layer are thousands of small Buddah and as you climb back up through the palace you can look out from the many balconies. To get to the Palace, you'll need to taxi to the Niushoushan Scenic area and walk to the summit, lots of the steeper parts of the walk have escalators.

Pukou Railway Station | A poetic reminder of the past.

Pukou Railway Station | A poetic reminder of the past.

| A poetic reminder of the past. 📜 📍Nanjing Pukou Railway Station 🚂 "The whistle blows, and my heart breaks, as I set off on a lonely journey." When you read this poem, the outline of Pukou Railway Station will appear in your mind. As you enter the station, the retro British-style buildings stand like aging gentlemen, quietly standing in the river of time. The mottled walls are covered with memories of the past, and the rusty tracks stretch into the depths of time. This is where Yiping and Shuhuan parted ways in the TV series "Romance in the Rain," and where Zhu Ziqing's "Back Shadow" silently witnessed a father's love. Every inch of land is engraved with deep affection and nostalgia. As you stroll along the platform 🚶‍♀️, you can almost see the hurried figures of past passengers and hear the rumble of trains fading into the distance. Although it is no longer bustling, its unique artistic charm attracts countless photographers and nostalgic travelers. At Pukou Railway Station, when you press the shutter, you capture not only an image but also a piece of the past. 💕

Nanjing! Tangshan! A private hot spring in every room is next level.

Who understands? 🥹 I didn't go anywhere else! Just in Nanjing! ✨ Private hot spring ✨ Nordic wood style ✨ Detached villa It's really suitable to soak in a private hot spring and relax when the temperature drops ☺️ - ✔️ Nordic wood style design I love the overall style of the homestay! It has the gentle water town atmosphere of Jiangnan 🌿 The panoramic floor-to-ceiling glass windows have good lighting, so you can enjoy the beautiful scenery while soaking in the hot spring 🏞️ And it has a giant screen projector 🎬, the high-definition picture quality is definitely not inferior to a private cinema - ✔️ Pure natural hot spring is super comfortable Real spring water ♨️! It has a strong sulfur smell, and it only takes 8 minutes to fill the water. It's especially pleasant for two people to soak together 🥰~ Tangshan Hot Spring is really amazing! It is rich in more than 30 minerals, and your body will be smooth after soaking 🥳 - ✔️ The service is impeccable They also gave us a few masks of their own brand when we arrived at the store Afternoon tea and welcome fruit 🍉 are all arranged! Thanks to the housekeeper sister, she also upgraded our room type 🔝!

Vacation | Hide away in the city for a day.

Vacation | Hide away in the city for a day.

| Hide away in the city for a day. I've always liked autumn in Nanjing. 🍂 The light and shadow of Yihe Road, the windows of the Six Dynasties Museum that capture the colors of Nanjing 🍁, and the autumn scenery of the Presidential Palace are all unique. Of course, the place that connects a series of beautiful autumn scenery in Nanjing is the hidden gem in the middle 💍, located on Changjiang Road, the Grand Mansion Hotel Nanjing 🏨 - ▪️It is hidden in the bustling city, quiet and elegant, with the lighting of the Republic of China and the decoration style of Mr. Sun's mansion. The elegance of Chinese style is truly a beauty of precipitation. You can enjoy a delicate afternoon tea in the Traveler's Bookstore on the first floor and spend an afternoon with a wall full of books 📖. ▪️On the terrace of Xiyuan on the third floor, the sunset glow dyes the whole city golden, and two black swans 🦢 accompany you to watch the city sink and wait for the lights to come on 🌃 - 🍽️In the evening buffet, I was surprised to find the plump hairy crabs 🦀 of this season, with overflowing roe. Isn't the expectation of autumn just waiting for this bite? 🥢The Beijing and Jiangsu cuisine at the Xuanling Pavilion Chinese Restaurant also left a lasting impression. The caramel foie gras and scallion pancakes are exotic delicacies that are amazing with every bite, putting a perfect end to this one-day retreat.

Nanjing Zifeng Greenland InterContinental Hotel Experience Review (Part 5)

Nanjing Zifeng Greenland InterContinental Hotel Experience Review (Part 5)

🛁🛁 The huge bathroom, as expected, features a design with 【transparent glass】 lol. Thankfully, there's an electric bathroom curtain that can somewhat remedy the situation. However, the peculiar thing is that the curtain's electric switch isn't a one-touch raise/lower system; you need to 【keep pressing】 and watch it slowly descend. The curtain descends at an 【incredibly slow】 pace, and you could get a sore finger before it's even halfway down. Moreover, the switch on mine was broken on the top half, so it could only lower and not raise, making this inconvenient design comparable to the complexity of a bar counter. 🧽🧼 The bathroom's decor is relatively modern, with walls covered in white tiles that, under bright lights, make it seem like a different world compared to the dim bedroom. The square washbasin isn't very large and has a rather shallow bottom, which makes it easy to splash water out when washing. At the same time, the faucet protrudes too much, standing directly above the central drain and getting in the way. Additionally, the side-mounted tap is even more inconvenient. 🧺🧻 Two hand towels are stacked on the countertop, with two bath towels hanging on the long handle directly in front. On the left, there are two mouthwash cups turned upside down, and on the right, besides the soap, there's also a large bottle of lotion provided. The hairdryer is stored in a black leather box in a crevice on the right side of the countertop and is hard to notice. The toiletry box is even harder to find, placed on a glass shelf under the countertop (wouldn't it be more convenient to switch the positions and put the hairdryer below?), but the floor towel and non-slip mat are easily visible, stacked on a tray above the bathtub, and providing four bath towels is quite convenient. 🛀🏻🚿 The capsule-shaped bathtub isn't very large, and stains on the inside are faintly visible, indicating it hasn't been cleaned for a while. The non-smart toilet is still relatively clean, and the provided disposable toilet seat covers are handy. The shower area has neither a niche nor a countertop, only a handrail, and the large bottles of shower products can only be fixed to the wall. The efficiency of the 1-second hot water is extremely high, and the water flow is strong, but the noise of the draining water is too loud, belonging to the kind that can be annoying when showering with the door closed in a confined space. 📍📍 Summary: The pinnacle of Jinling, a landmark of Nanjing, the significance and aspiration of 【Zifeng Tower】 to the people of Nanjing need no explanation. As a five-star hotel located in the 【tallest building in Jiangsu】, 'from afar it amazes, up close it astounds, upon entering it settles, and during the stay it fades,' is my candid assessment. Setting aside its halo and judging it purely as a hotel, the oppressive environment and various anti-human details lead to a subpar stay, making it hard to describe the overall accommodation experience as 【feeling at home】. Coupled with over a decade of operation and outdated design, it struggles to attract the choice and favor of new consumers. As I said at the beginning of this series of reviews, 'If you simply equate 【Zifeng Tower】 with 【Greenland InterContinental Hotel】, take my advice and don't come.' It's always majestic to view the peak through the mist, no need for irreverent play, just admire from afar. Geographic location: 9/10 Public area: 7/10 Staff service: 5/10 Accommodation experience: 5/10
