Quanzhou hairpin flower, also known as "haipin flower wei", is a unique folk custom in southern Fujian that has been passed down for thousands of years. The Xiapu women's headdress culture is the most famous. This living custom, which began in the Song and Yuan dynasties, carries the cultural memory of Quanzhou as the starting point of the ancient Maritime Silk Road. The girls from the fishing families in Xiapu have been arranging flowers in their hair since childhood.
