Introduction Pottery Classes in Hanoi

Introduction
Some information may have been translated by Google Translate

Hanoi, as a cultural treasure of Vietnam, invites you to step into an exotic pottery class, appreciate the thousand-year-old pottery heritage in the streets and alleys of the ancient city, and start a folk custom journey on your fingertips.

Classic content: The course duration is generally 2-6 hours, focusing on Hanoi's traditional pottery. The local clay is used, which has a fine and unique texture. Students can learn hand-throwing, painted decoration, and open-air wood-fired kiln firing, which fully demonstrates the ancient charm. Students can take away the Hanoi-style pottery works they made by hand after completing the course to continue their artistic memory.

Class size is small, and teachers are strong: The class size is usually small, and you can get personalized guidance from the teacher, but the atmosphere is warm and harmonious, inspiring unlimited creativity. Most of the ceramic artists who teach are local folk masters, who are well versed in the essence of Hanoi ceramics and have a strong style. They started with a demonstration of real objects and accompanied the students throughout the whole process to ensure that they mastered the traditional skills.

Flexible courses and distinctive facilities: Courses can be arranged at any time. Accompanied by the river breeze and the lights of the ancient city, immerse yourself in pottery creation and experience the slow life in Hanoi. The venue is equipped with multiple production tables, and the pottery-making tools are simple and practical. The wood-fired kiln is built according to the ancient method. Although the firing is slow, it can give the works a unique texture. The electric kiln is also available to meet various needs.

Experiencing pottery courses in Hanoi is not only about learning a skill, but also a reflection of a lifestyle. The pottery courses here allow you to deeply experience the transformation from clay to art, and feel the charm of handcrafts that have been passed down for thousands of years. Come to Hanoi, leave an unforgettable pottery mark, and start a new exploration of art.

Special

This is a very unique sort of a place with the vintage ambience. There is something artistic about it as well as old and photogenic. It was a really nice place, that is sort of hidden from the road so you can't hear the bike or car sounds which was great. The place was cozy and there are some muaic instruments. The music was great too. We went in the afternoon for a while and then went back again in the evening because we liked it so much. It was lot better than places with tourists and noise. We tried their cold brew coffee and passion fruit juice. Both were very nice. #vietnamtrip #hanoi #hiddencafes

BOOK IN BAR

Book in bar is a small, quiet cafe, very suitable for studying or working. It was my own big mistake not to know about Book in bar sooner and write a review for everyone so that everyone could have a new place to hide for themselves. Although the space is only one floor, there are many seats, most of the tables and chairs are high tables and chairs, and there are electrical outlets around for guests to conveniently use. Each table is arranged with an additional lamp, providing adequate light for guests but still maintaining a quiet, cozy space. Besides, the shop still has a row of low chairs for customers to chat, but everyone who comes here maintains the common space and speaks very softly, which makes me like it even more. The way to get to the shop is a bit difficult, it's easiest to find using Google Map :3 ☕️ The menu is diverse from coffee to tea, I tried an apple mint tea and a salty roasted rice cream tea. My apple mint tea has a bit of a strong mint flavor, and the tea is also a bit too sweet. If I could reduce these two ingredients, I think the tea would fit better. My friend complimented me on roasted rice tea that it was delicious, light in taste and easy to drink. Before I went there, I saw a story about the shop uploading carot cakes and cinamon rolls, so I was curious to try them out. Unfortunately, the day I visited, the shop didn't have those two cakes huhu :( If anyone has tried them, please review them and let me know, I like them. Very nice carot cake #historicallandmarks #localguides #goodfoods #foodphotography #coffeeshop #bar #cafe

Ták coffee

Ták coffee

The cafe has a prominent, impressive design with a “garden” in a relaxing Zen style. Overall, it can be seen that Ták coffee is inspired by Japanese style. Impressed by the space of the shop surrounded by bamboo, gravel roads and a large indoor area with interesting architecture. The shop uses a prominent red tone, a large house frame with a circular structure, and the ceiling above gets smart light through cute cubic glass panels. The concept is interesting with neat interior, soft chairs, many power outlets, and a long table, so it is quite suitable for a “workspace” location. The lighting is beautiful, so taking pictures outside is okay. The menu is diverse with prices ranging from 40-60k, I tried fruit tea, the appearance and quantity are okay. In addition, the shop also has cakes! Search “Ták coffee” on google map for easy finding. The shop is soft opening and officially opens on August 24-25.

DEEP SII

Deep Sii has a new facility, taking advantage of the beautiful weather, the cafes open regularly, I like it. The new Deep Sii is a bit difficult to find but compensates for a much wider space than the previous facilities. In front of the shop is a common park of the area, so the view is cool. The indoor space has two floors, aimed at the guest who needs space to work/study so all tables and chairs used are high tables and chairs, have soft cushions and more importantly power outlets everywhere. The second floor has another large glass window umbrella, I came in on a windy day and said it's not spicy, sitting next to the window umbrella thinking that I'm the leading lady in some heartless music video. There is also a corner of the 2nd floor area reserved for a painting exhibition, even though it's small, it can take many beautiful photos ☕️ Call a drink in Sai a chair because it's not a table. I tried Sii Foam very addictive, very addictive but my croffle was a bit dry that day, not as good as the first time I ate at Van Phuc.. #songkran2024 #mytravelhacks #goodfoods #cherryblossom2024 #historicallandmarks #localguides #cafe #coffeeshop

Rode a motorcycle for good food

#newyearadventure Tried out a motorcycle food tour when in Ha Noi, and it's definitely a touristy thing to do. Rode as a pillion rider on a motorcycle was really cool as we got to experience how the rider rode and avoided the jaywalkers. Also, we got to try out and enjoy some food that we might never get to try or attempt to try if we were on our own. The experience of the food tour and having rode on a motorcycle was really nice. Besides bringing us to try out the local stalls, be it a shop or by the roadside, the guide made an effort to introduce the history and culture of the city to us. It's definitely an eye-opener for us

EGGYOLK SPECIALTY COFFEE

EGGYOLK SPECIALTY COFFEE

#favouritecafe Eggyolk has a new location on Chan Cam Street - a street that is beautiful in every season, not just in autumn. At first glance, I thought this was Eggyolk's smallest location, but that's not the case. With a total of 4 main floors and a mezzanine, Eggyolk has "fooled" us with its modest, small facade that fits the mood of Chan Cam Street. The interior space has a characteristic orange tone combined with gray walls, creating a modern and unique Eggyolk look. Each floor of the shop has a balcony, which makes the space brighter and more spacious. From these balcony corners, you will have a full view of Chan Cam Street, chilling to the max (I also took a few photos on the balcony of the shop, hehe). For me, this is the most beautiful of the four locations, centrally located, eye-catching set up to suit all needs, it is not surprising that the shop will attract quite a number of customers in the near future. Eggyolk is famous for its delicious egg coffee, this time the shop has added an iced version to suit the hot weather. I suggest ordering a croissant to go with it, the croissant here deserves to be on the list of croissant that is both beautiful in appearance and delicious in quality. In addition, Eggyolk also serves savory food to stave off hunger or if you want to date for brunch on the weekend. Address: 5A CHAN CAM, HOAN KIEM, HANOI

PAPA'S DESSERT CAFE

#favouritecafe When it comes to cafes with elaborate Christmas decor, we cannot ignore Papa's Dessert Cafe. Last year, Papa "made waves" with a giant Christmas tree, and this year, the restaurant has invested even more with a super beautiful Christmas tree decoration corner. The first and second floors will be the areas with the most Christmas decorations so you can take pictures. In addition, the restaurant also opens a music list that is very suitable for the holiday season, so the mood of the restaurant is very nice. In addition, the 7th floor area has a view of the expensive Hoang Cau lake, which is also a pretty chill choice for weekend evenings. Seasonal Menu Cinnamoment of Joy with products such as Crottle Lotus Biscott, loaf Lotus Biscoft, Cinnamon Rolls and Latte Lotus Biscoff. The combination of Lotus Biscoff cookies with baked toast or croffle products creates a sweet and fragrant flavor, with a little bit of cinnamon spice, very suitable for the cold of winter this year. In addition, the Cinnamon Rolls also impressed me quite a bit, combined with The coffee products in the collection are extremely reasonable. Address: 40 MAI ANH TUAN, DONG DA, HA NOI

DEAR NOVEMBER

A cafe with a super pretty Korean facade just opened right in the Lang Pagoda area, guys. Wow, right from the front of the shop, I really liked it. It looked exactly like the cafes in Korea. How cleverly there was a beautiful star fruit tree hanging in front of the shop's door. When the flowers bloom, I'm sure to love it. The shop has only one floor, a very small space consisting of an indoor part and an outdoor corridor. I'm in love with the round windows here, taking pictures through the windows looks so pretty. The tables and chairs here are all high enough for studying and working, but the owner still arranged a rather large sofa for those who like to recline. The space is small, so please pay attention here to avoid noise and maintain order in the restaurant space. ☕️ I ordered a London Fog (45k), the foam layer is soft and delicious, mixed with the sweetness of Earl Gray tea Latte, a cup of London Fog for windy days like this will be my choice instead. Substitute for familiar drinks such as hot sucule, hot matcha or hot latte #historicallandmarks #localguides #coffeeshop #cafe

Papa’s Dessert

Papa’s Dessert

#100waysoftravel is one of the shops that are open during Tet and invest heavily in the concept every holiday. With a central location, a lake view with a spacious rooftop and you can also watch the train passing by. The 1st and 2nd floors are beautifully decorated with the Tet concept, especially the shop invests in a neat check-in area right near the order counter, taking pictures of Ao Dai is quite pretty. The design follows a contemporary concept with a cozy tone. Papa's drinks and cakes are diverse, stable quality and the signature is the cake line combined with fresh cream. If anyone likes a creamy drink, fragrant with choco and a fun brownie to eat with, everyone can try Choco Volcano

Som Tum Thái

#100waysoftravel 📍37 Tran Hung Dao, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi This is a special location of Som Tum Thai, because this is the first location in Hanoi that does not have to be "underground". This 4th location is located outside the shopping malls. The design concept is quite interesting because it is inspired by the movie "Alice in Wonderland". The restaurant has 2 floors with a central location, so it is very convenient to move around. The food quality is still stable, probably due to the attraction of the 20% discount - opening, so it is quite crowded, everyone should book a table in advance

KHOI NGUYEN CAFFE

#vietnamtrip I heard that this shop is great for studying/working and it's true. The space is 3 floors, not too spacious but still has reasonable tables and chairs for guests who go alone or with a large group of friends. High tables and chairs, there are power outlets right under the feet, many large glass doors to welcome natural light, fans and air conditioners are cool and the shop is open until night. The downside is that the wifi was unstable when I went there, I don't know why, hopefully the shop has fixed this important problem. In addition, I see that the area is very crowded, but this time, I have to call many people * Regarding the menu, I see that there are many choices, I ordered Olong Dao Trang Thanh Yen which is quite okay. Those who like fruit teas can refer to this shop because I see many creative drinks, suitable for summer. Address: 29 LANE 49 HUYNH THUC KHANG, DONG DA, HANOI, VIETNAM

Famous train street in Hanoi

Legendary train street, located close to Old Quarter and Bay mau Lake, is one of the must visit place in Hanoi. Experience is beautiful and definitely unique. We came around 6pm-7:30 pm and we saw 4 trains. Also met a great and nice cafe owner that helped us with the photos, so we ended up drinking beer in that cafe. Also we got a bottle cap, crushed by train, as a memory from this remarkable place. Definitely every recommendation :) #hanoi #hanoitravel #trainstreet
