Introduction Plum Blossom Viewing in Taizhou

Introduction
Some information may have been translated by Google Translate

When the cold wind starts to blow at the end of the year, plum blossoms from all over Taizhou bloom one after another. With their proud and unyielding attitude, they decorate this Jiangnan water town and attract countless tourists and literati to come and admire.

Taizhou plum blossom viewing provides a unique experience. Tourists can feel different atmospheres and customs at different plum blossom viewing locations. For example, in Shenxianju, although the plum blossoms are not everywhere, a few of them are dotted among the strange peaks and rocks, mountains, forests and valleys, which also has a unique flavor. Changyu Dongtian Scenic Area, a unique stone cultural landscape formed by quarrying sites of successive dynasties since the Southern and Northern Dynasties. Plum blossoms quietly bloom beside the ancient stone caves. The hardness of the stone and the softness of the plum blossoms form a sharp contrast, adding a heavy historical charm to the plum viewing. The Plum Garden in Taizhou Fucheng Cultural Tourism Area was once the back garden of Taizhou government offices. It covers an area of about six or seven acres and is planted with more than 200 plum trees, including dozens of varieties such as Gulihong, Gongfen, and Zhusha. Among them, there are nearly 20 old plum trees over 200 years old. In addition, tourists can also wear traditional costumes such as Hanfu and take photos with plum blossoms, adding a touch of classicism and romance.

Dachen Island

Dachen Island

Dachen Island is divided into two islands, upper and lower, about 20min boat ride apart. The upper Dachen Island is relatively primitive, and tourists usually go to the lower Dachen Island. (1) Plum Bay: Not far from the pier, it is the main commercial concentration area, where it is convenient for eating, living and traveling. However, it is now the off-season (November-March), and there are not many shops open. There are attractions such as the Dachen Island Taiwan Compatriots History Museum, where you can learn about the history of Dachen. (2) Chicken Cage Head: The best place to watch the sunset. You can search for the sunset time in advance, but if it is foggy, you should go earlier. By the way, the wind there is very strong, protect your head. (3) Jia Wu Rock: The most shocking place to watch the sea. It is a well-developed coastline. You can watch the sunrise here. There are lighthouses, detection stations, chain bridges, strange rocks, surging waves, and 'Steam Cloud Dream Lake', it's really worth it! But the return trip depends on luck

Today's Dachen Island in Jiaojiang!

Today's Dachen Island in Jiaojiang!

The weather was quite hot during this trip, but the scenery was good. I stayed for two days and the sunset was beautiful every day. I went out to sea to catch fish today and caught a lot of "clown crabs". Every meal was a seafood feast and I ate a lot of fish. I slept in the morning, ate seafood at noon, played with friends in the afternoon, and went to the beach to catch the sea and watch the sunset in the evening. The wind was quite strong at night and it was not hot. There were many late-night snack shops along the street. I ate a very delicious barbecue shop and planned to go to the second brush. You have to look at the season when you come here, there will be more fish if you come now~

Fairytale Life in China

#taizhou #parks #nature #china China never runs out of all the beautiful places one could think of. From man-made structures to nature, you’ll find them here. Most of them are easily accessible by different modes of transport. Parks are abundant in the country anywhere you go. They are all beautiful. One of the beautiful parks in Taizhou City in Zhejiang province is Zhongyang Shan Park located in Luqiao District. One can get to this park by metro from wenling or Taizhou Railway and get off at either Jintai station or zeguo station, take either a taxi , a bicycle or walk to the park. There are also some Chinese temples around that you could visit or hike any of the park’s 2 hills and enjoy the few orchards on the hill sides. Autumn is very colorful in this park due to the trees foliage while summer also has more green plants and refreshing flowers — a very good time to pitch a tent or have a picnic with friends and loved ones.

Baiyun Mountain

📍 We drove around 1.5 hours from Yiwu city to get to the park. 💰 The park was closed for a long time because of the virus and when we went it was just opened and the ticket was free. We just needed to register in the app. 🏨 There are not too many places around. Just very few Chinese restaurants and small shops. There was a small ancient town nearby and the hotel were close to that side. Most of them couldn’t register foreigners. However it was a good trip and we enjoyed our day in the park. We climbed to the top of the mountain slowly while inhaling fresh air and stunning view. Later we took a cable car to go down. 🚠 #zhejiang #naturewonders #chinalife

Explore Taizhou

Taizhou is a small city located in Zhejiang province. This city is one of the typical Chinese cities that is rich in history that stretches staggeringly deep into the past. I went here during the new year, and we had the chance to stay with our Chinese friend and her family. In this city, there are various things to do. One of the most famous one is the Luqiao Old Street. Once you’re in here, you might forget that you were in the modern city because it really looks and feels very authentic! Many of the old shop buildings have been converted into small restaurants and shops where you can taste both local specialties and the satisfyingly savory street snacks that populate every food street in China 🇨🇳 #solstice #historicculture #urbanexplorer #chinatravel #summervacation#hikingtrails#hotelstay#urbanexplorer
