Terminal 21 Shopping Mall in Bangkok, Thailand

Terminal 21 Shopping Mall in Bangkok, Thailand

Address: 88 Soi Sukhumvit 19, Sukhumvit 19 Alley, Khlong Toei Nuea, Thawi Watthana, Bangkok 10110, Thailand Atmosphere/Facilities: Air-conditioned, department store Features: World tour style, airport terminal design concept Average Price per Person: As you like Rating: Located at the BTS Asok station, this well-known department store is one of the popular ones in Bangkok. Its design style is mainly based on an airport, hence its name. Each floor has many different exotic themes, taking the characteristics of a country as the theme of the floor. Bangkok's department store counters are more or less the same, and everyday department store brands can be found in various malls. Only certain high-priced brands are available in a few specific department stores. Terminal 21 is considered one of the more accessible department stores. Each floor has cafes and food stalls, with the most recommended being the Northern Thai curry noodles, Thai boat noodles, and Thai dishes from Up Thai. Additionally, if you find the food stalls a bit pricey, you can try the food court where you need to buy meal tickets, with prices similar to street shops or roadside stalls. A hundred Thai baht is generally enough for a person to eat their fill. Due to the large crowds, the cleaning staff can be overwhelmed, and you might occasionally spot some small cockroaches. The air conditioning in this area doesn't feel very cold. It's crowded and not easy to find a seat. But you can enjoy local food at street stall prices in an air-conditioned room, which is much more comfortable than eating in a hot, fly-infested place. The taste is not bad, but also not particularly special. It's fine for a quick meal.

High privacy | Bangkok Homm Sukhumvit 34 Street Hotel | Banyan Tree Group

This hotel has a high degree of privacy and is not on the main traffic road, so it will appear quieter. The hotel's service is very good, the lobby staff will greet the customers and will help with the luggage. This is something that hotels in Bangkok do very well, unlike the hotels I encountered in Penang and Kuala Lumpur. The hotel is secluded and feels like a forest in the city.

A very happy place in a very convenient area in Bangkok

#getgoing2025 I have had a very short stay. But the service delivered within two night was fantastic. All the staffs have been very helpful attentive and very friendly. Room was very clean and has all the amenities which you may require when staying away from your home. Room was very spacious, as well as bathroom. A washing machine, minibar, microwave and more comes with the room. One of the best part was complimentary breakfast. I am not a big breakfast person, but I went to an experience the breakfast since is “The coffee club” which is one of my favorite coffee place. Breakfast food was really good. It was a very healthy breakfast. One of the best things I have seen at this hotel is the connection in between guests and hotel staff. The effort they put to make sure their guests are happy is amazing. I have seen staffs helping families to escorting kids to their rooms along with kids parents, making kids happy at lobby area and more. It is simply a happy vibe place

Unforgettable Café in Bangkok!

Unforgettable Café in Bangkok!

An absolutely unforgettable lunch at this gorgeous café 35 minute taxi ride from the centre of Bangkok. We took a green/yellow taxi which cost us only 165baht. The whole setting is so peaceful and tranquil, the drinks were amazing and the food was high quality and delicious. Considering the setting I would have expected it to be so much more expensive! We had a meal each, a large iced drink each and a half hour ride through the canals on a paddle boat and all we spent was 450baht. 10/10 experienced not to be missed!

patisserie @ thonglor soi 10

There are a lot of cake, dessert and beverages to select. Please be quick, a signature and new released cake was sold out quite early in the afternoon. The creamy chocolate & hazelnut filling is light. Also got La Rosie which has a raspberry, lychee, rose & yogurt filling. Although the flavor combination is great, the taste is a bit more on the sweet side. I already marked this place as one of my favorite cafe. Cakes are very pretty but the taste is just ok for my tastebud. They also serve variety of teas and presented nicely. #thailandtrip #bakery

Guan An Keng Shrine

The history of this shrine dates back to when it was built by Chinese settlers who followed King Taksin to settle at the mouth of Bang Luang Canal. They constructed two shrines close to each other: one housing Zhou Shi Gong and the other housing Guan Yu. During the Rattanakosin period, many Chinese people migrated to the Sampheng and Talat Noi communities due to Bangkok becoming the new capital. This led to a decrease in population on the Thonburi side, causing the shrines to fall into disrepair. In 1825, the second year of King Rama III's reign, Chao Phraya Nikornbodin, the founder of the Kalayanamit family, dedicated his house and purchased additional land to build Wat Kalayanamit. At the same time, Hokkien Chinese from Jiangzhou and Zhaozhou, the ancestors of the Tantivejkul and Sima Sethi families, visited the two shrines and saw their dilapidated state. They collaborated to renovate and construct a new shrine, combining the two into one. Upon completion in 1848, they enshrined Guan Yin as the main deity, brought from Chae Hud Teng Shrine in China. The whereabouts of Guan Yu and Zhou Shi Gong remain unknown. The new shrine was named 'Kian An Keng,' meaning 'a palace that brings peace to the land and worshippers.' The shrine, built by the Hokkien families, became a Hokkien shrine by default. Later, Kian An Keng Shrine in Bangkok received the Outstanding Architectural Conservation Award in 2008 in the category of Monuments and Temples from the Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage.
