Siem Reap invites you to step into the mysterious and charming cooking class, unlock the Khmer food code surrounded by ancient monuments, and start a cultural journey of taste.

Course content Ancient flavor: The course market usually takes about 3 hours, focusing on traditional Khmer food, such as Khmer spring rolls, green mango salad, Amok fish, etc. You will start with market purchases, learn and check various spices, vegetables, fish and other ingredients, and feel the local life atmosphere of Cambodia. Learn the unique marinating of fish, making spring roll wraps, and the use of Khmer spices to appreciate the ancient flavor. Students will personally create 4-8 authentic Siem Reap delicacies in one class, and after the course, they can also take back detailed recipes of Khmer cuisine and share this delicious memory with their families at home.

Small class teaching and deep teaching staff: The number of students in a class is usually controlled at 6-8 people. This scale makes it easier for the chef to pay attention to all students, and students can exchange their experiences of visiting Angkor. The atmosphere is warm and harmonious, which adds to the fun of learning. Most of the chefs who teach are professional chefs, or have family inheritance, and are well versed in Khmer food culture. They use the method of telling history while making, and provide detailed guidance to let students feel the fusion of food and culture.

The facilities are full of style: The cooking venues have indoor and semi-open courtyards with a strong Khmer style. Some cooking venues also have their own vegetable gardens, where they grow many spices and vegetables used in dishes, etc. Some ingredients also come from local markets and villages, fresh and simple, and original.

The cooking experience in Siem Reap is not only a journey to learn food skills, but also a rare opportunity to gain a deep understanding of local culture and lifestyle. Whether you are a culinary novice or a food enthusiast, the courses here will provide you with a unique experience and practical skills, adding an unforgettable taste and memory to your trip.

Horseback Riding

One of the best things we did in Siem Reap is Horseback Riding. It was our first time, so we are nervous and feels intense about it. The tour guides were so helpful, chill, and supportive and they are also well trained in taking care or the horses. We tour the city of Siem Reap for 1 hour and it was all worth it. We had a meaning conversation with the tour guide, it helps us calm while riding the horse. It was an unforgettable experience as a couple and Happy Ranch Horse Farm made it possible. Another check in our bucket list. #FilipinoInSiemReap #HorseBackRiding #SiemReapTrip #CoupleGoals #urbanexplorer #awesomepic # #mytripvlog#couplestrip

Tomb raider vibes at Angkor Wat

In October, I visited Siem Reap to spend two days at Angkor Wat, a UNESCO world heritage site. The Tomb raider movies popularised this location, yet it is far more impressive in person. Angkor wat is actually the name of one temple in a huge complex of many other temples. Each was built with its own unique features and charm! #siemreap #cambodia #asia #tripblazers

Nothing Can Compare - Angkor Wat

#createwithtrip Long ago, a wise man told me if you rich the stone of the Angkor Wat Temple and make your wish, you can bury your dark secret and good life will ensue. True or not, I am not sure but this place is worth a visit a million times. Buried in the thick forest for centuries, a mighty kingdom in ancient days, it is only fate that this marvel was discovered once again for humankind to admire and respect. No amount of accolades and United Nation recognition are enough to describe the awe inspiring and jaw dropping grandness of this temple. One can spend one day to tour the temple or weeks to study the designs and carving of the godly stone and drawing. It was mesmerising. Every time i left as a happy person and longing to be back to learn some more.

Whispers of History at Angkor Wat

Exploring Angkor Wat in Siem Reap was like stepping into a timeless realm, a world where ancient stones speak of history, spirituality, and artistry🕌. As the largest religious monument in the world, this temple complex captivates with its grand scale, intricate carvings, and the serene atmosphere that pervades its walls🌿. Wandering through the corridors and courtyards at dawn, I was enveloped in an ethereal light that brought the temple's detailed bas-reliefs and devatas (guardian spirits) to life. The play of light and shadow made each step feel like a discovery of hidden stories and forgotten eras🌅. For those visiting Angkor Wat, watching the sunrise over the temple's iconic spires is a must-do experience. The way the sun's rays illuminate the stone and water creates a magical, once-in-a-lifetime spectacle🌞. Comfortable walking shoes are essential as exploring the vast complex requires a lot of walking. Staying hydrated and wearing sun protection is also important, given Cambodia's warm climate👟. Remember to respect the sacred nature of the site. Dress modestly, and be mindful of the cultural significance of the temples🧘♀️. Lastly, consider hiring a local guide. Their knowledge not only enriches the experience but also supports the local community. They can provide fascinating insights into the history, architecture, and symbolism of Angkor Wat🗺️. #AngkorAwakening #TempleTales #SiemReapStories #HistoricHaven #CambodianChronicles 🇰🇭📜🌤️📷🍃 #falltrip#mytravelhacks#historicallandmarks

A Chapter of Angkor Creation: Two Stories

A Chapter of Angkor Creation: Two Stories

#voyagevibes For many people, Cambodia is associated primarily with Angkor Wat, which they know is a large ancient temple complex that includes smaller temples, such as the temple where the Lara Croft movie was filmed, or the temple with faces. All of them are located right in the jungle and represent somewhere restored, somewhere abandoned ruins. Actually, it's not quite like that. Angkor Wat is a temple complex, one of the largest in the world. The complex is located on the territory of the city of Angkor (without Wat), like many other temples. Including the Bayon Temple, or the temple with faces. The Angkor Wat temple itself is so impressive in its size, and previously shone with luxurious decoration, that it is not surprising that its appearance was associated with higher forces, namely, with the will of the god Indra. Mythological version Once upon a time, a ruler had a son named Preah Ket Mealea, whose name means Divine Radiance. The young man received it because he was of amazing beauty and, moreover, possessed a wonderful character and many spiritual perfections. And the god Indra, the ruler of the heavenly kingdom, decided to call such a perfect young man to himself. The heavenly castle, which the prince got into, he liked incredibly. The castle consisted of five tall towers decorated with many iridescent precious stones. The interior was also striking in its beauty. The furniture was made of gold and silver, the walls were draped with expensive fabrics. Pleasant music was playing, graceful girls were dancing around. Everything would be fine. But the young man was a living person, and his human smell greatly irritated the celestial inhabitants. He made me think about earthly life and its temptations. The smell especially affected the celestial dancers – apsaras. Therefore, the god Indra had to bring the prince back to earth. And so that he would not be offended, he ordered his heavenly architect to erect a palace on earth the same as in heaven. Historical Version In fact, the temple was built during the reign of Emperor Suryavarman II, who lived at the turn of the XI and XII centuries. His subjects revered him as the incarnation of the god Vishnu on earth. And then the emperor decided to build a temple dedicated to Vishnu. It became Angkor Wat - the earthly home of the emperor and his tomb. The construction lasted for about 40 years, and the temple was almost completed, but after the death of the emperor, work on the temple was stopped. Therefore, in some places, the decoration of the facades has not been completed. The temple was built of black and gray sandstone, which was quarried at quarries located 40 km from the construction site and delivered along the Siem Reap River. It is estimated that the construction took about 5 million tons of stone. No mortar was used to fasten the stone blocks. The stone blocks were tightly fitted to each other, so they are held only by the gravity of their own weight - it remains to be surprised at the skills of Khmer architects and builders.

Explore the mysterious beauty of the 'Castle of Women', the Queen's Palace, in Angkor Wat

Angkor Wat, an ancient site known as one of the seven wonders of the world, has always been a sacred place in the hearts of travelers. The most mysterious place is the 📍【Queen's Palace】. 👸The Queen's Palace (Banteay Srei), meaning 'Castle of Women'. It is a Hindu temple located about 21km northeast of Angkor Wat in Siem Reap, next to Lychee Mountain, dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. The Queen's Palace is a magnificent building made of red sandstone. 👍The exquisite sandstone lintels and pediment are the most famous. The pediment stands on a square door frame. The pediment of the Queen's Palace is particularly large compared to the door frame, majestic. 🎯The most famous is the bas-relief of the 'Dance of Angels'. These bas-reliefs are hand-carved by stonemasons, and every detail is full of artistic beauty. It is said that the top of the Queen's Tower was once inlaid with a priceless ruby💎but it is now missing. The Queen's Palace in Angkor Wat is a palace full of mysterious beauty. It is not only an important historical and cultural site in Cambodia, but also a masterpiece of art. ⚠️The Queen's Palace is part of the outer circle of Angkor Wat, a bit far away, it is recommended to take a car 🚗It takes about 60 minutes to drive from Siem Reap. 🎫Ticket: Included in the ticket of Angkor Wat (For tickets🎫, please refer to other Angkor Wat guide sections, there are detailed introductions) ⏰Time: 7:30-17:30 If you come to Cambodia, don't miss this palace of mysterious beauty! Ancient city of Angkor

Visiting the Angkor ruins was amazing! The temples are huge, especially Angkor Wat—it’s mind-blowing how old everything is. Walking around, you can see how nature and history come together, with trees growing through the ruins and all. It feels like stepping into another world. A tip: it’s really spread out, so try to plan your day. Many options of transportation are available. I just rented a bicycle and rode everywhere myself - that gave me absolute freedom and I could stay at every chosen stop as long as I wanted. One more tip: start early to beat the heat! Honestly, it’s one of those places that leaves you feeling humbled. Definitely worth the visit! #internationaltravel #cambodia #angkorwat

Angkor Wat

Angkor Wat in Cambodia is located more than 30 kilometers outside the small town of Siem Reap. The general tourist routes are divided into the big circle, small circle, and outer circle. Although most of the buildings are in ruins, they still cannot hide its former prosperity and bustle!

Angkor Wat Sunrise & Sunset

The BEST experience getting up at 4am to watch the sunrise over Angkor Wat I urge everyone to see it if you are ever in Siem Reap is by far the top thing to do in city, in the whole of Cambodia even Exploring the temples cycling was a once in a lifetime experience even if that means a full day of cycling in the 35 degree heat. We definitely made the right choice to see it this way. You can cycle along the ride paddies from temple to temple, find hidden paths that no Tuk Tuks can get down, stop at the smaller ruins that everyone misses and see Angkor Wat in a different light a day that I will never forget with the perfect sunset to finish #cambodia #angkorwat
