Introduction Fall Leaves Viewing in Hakone

Introduction
Some information may have been translated by Google Translate

Hakone is a great place to enjoy the autumn leaves in Japan, and the best time to enjoy the leaves is from October to November. When you step into Hakone, you feel like you are in a colorful dream world.

Around the Choanji Temple, tall maple trees surround the ancient temple, and the red leaves and the quaint buildings complement each other. When the autumn wind blows, the red leaves fall, either piling up on the stone steps or falling on the eaves and ponds of the temple, adding a bit of poetry and tranquility to the ancient temple. On the shore of Lake Ashi, the red leaves spread along the lakeshore. The fiery red and orange leaves are reflected in the clear lake water, forming a beautiful picture with Mount Fuji in the distance and the swaying boats on the lake.

Appreciating the red leaves in Hakone not only allows you to appreciate the beauty of nature, but also to experience the unique Japanese style and start an unforgettable autumn journey.

Hakone Freepass

Hakone Freepass Address: 1300 Gora, Hakone, Ashigarashimo District, Kanagawa 250-0408, Japan One of the highlights using Hakone Freepass is their cable car ride which they called it as Hakone ropeway. On your lucky days, you can see magnificent views of Mt Fuji. I went during August and December and only got lucky in December to be able to see Mt Fuji. The ropeway will fly above the volcano: Owakudani. You can smell the sulphur before reaching there. It is a must to stop over at this famous attraction to enjoy the views and eat some onsen eggs. 🥚🏔️ 2D1N Hakone Itinerary ♨️🚢🚠

🏠 Hotale: Yamadaya Ryokan - Affordable ryokan with very comfortable futon (Had the best sleep here!) and delicious meals served to your room in the evening and morning - Traditional natural hot springs (onsen) and authentic washoku meals (dinner and breakfast included) 🍱 ⚠️ The onsen is separated by gender, BUT check the schedule as the onsen alternates. A sign outside will indicate the swap times, allowing both genders to enjoy all the onsen facilities at different timings (e.g Male can try Female onsen at X timing and vice versa) - You’ll also be provided with a yukata (light kimono), making it easy to enjoy the onsen experience in true Japanese style 👘 - Spend your time relaxing in a tatami room, soaking in the hot springs, and leaving all your worries behind 😌 🗺️ 2D1N Itinerary 🌋 Owakudani (Hell Valley) - A volcanic valley filled with steaming vents and sulfuric landscapes. Be prepared for the smell of sulphur! - 🥚TRY the famous Kurotamago (Black Eggs): legend has it they’ll add 7 years to your life! ⛩️ Hakone Jinja Shrine - Known for its stunning Torii gate (Heiwa no Torii) on Lake Ashinoko ⚠️ The queue for photos can be long (around 1 hour), but the serene atmosphere, moss-covered trees and beautiful views is WORTH IT! 🗻 Lake Ashinoko - A peaceful lake offering picturesque views of mountains and greeneries. ⚠️ You’ll be lucky to spot Mount Fuji in the background (subject to good weather) ⚠️ Pro Tip: Get the Hakone Free Pass, which covers all transportation in Hakone and a round-trip from Shinjuku to Hakone. It’s a great value for exploring the area with ease! ⚠️ Travel Time: The trip from Shinjuku to Hakone takes around 3 hours one way, so if you’re pressed for time, consider visiting Kawaguchiko as an alternative ⚠️ Consider packing light or leaving your large luggage in a locker in Tokyo if you’re visiting Hakone for a short stay, as you’ll be traveling and moving a lot on foot #100waysoftravel #japan #hakone #japanitinerary

Owakudani: Hakone’s Volcanic Wonder

Owakudani, nestled in Hakone’s volcanic heart, is a place unlike any other. As we stepped off the ropeway, the sharp scent of sulfur hit us. The view of Mount Fuji in the distance was a stunning contrast to the harshness of the volcanic terrain around us. Of course, no visit to Owakudani is complete without trying the famous black eggs, cooked in the volcanic hot springs. Their charred shells were a striking sight, and while they tasted like any other boiled egg, the experience felt meaningful. We left Owakudani with a mix of awe and respect for the raw power of nature. 🌋 #voyagevibes #travel #naturalwonders #thingstodo

Gora Kadan Hakone, Japan | Gora Kadan Hakone

Gora Kadan Hakone, Japan | Gora Kadan Hakone

|Gora Kadan Hakone. Gora Kadan Hakone, Japan | Gora Kadan Hakone, a hot spring and spa resort in Japan, is located in Hakone National Park. It was originally a summer villa for a member of the royal family in Gora, Hakone. It combines traditional Japanese style with modern design elements and offers the most exquisite and ceremonial service in Japan. Since its opening in 1914, Gora Park has created a symmetrical French garden centered on a fountain. In addition to the fountain, there are three botanical gardens with different styles in the park: the "Bougainvillea Pavilion" with a tropical style, the "Tropical Plant Pavilion" with a tropical plant theme, and the "Tropical Herb Pavilion" with about 70 kinds of tropical herbs. Each place is filled with a strong natural atmosphere. 🪟Gora Kadan Hotel has 39 rooms, each with a chic Japanese bathtub, surrounded by pine and bamboo, with long and winding corridors, revealing the ancient Japanese luxury atmosphere everywhere, and integrating modern oriental aesthetics, making people feel unparalleled tranquility and elegance. The hotel also offers authentic Japanese kaiseki cuisine, with fine ingredients to ensure that every bite is the freshest taste. Enjoying food in this Western-style villa built in the Showa era is definitely a unique dining experience. ♨️When you come to Gora Kadan, hot springs are an essential enjoyment. The hotel has mineral-rich hot spring water, including simple springs, sulfur springs, chloride springs, sulfate springs, bicarbonate springs, etc., which are especially suitable for conditioning the stomach and nourishing the skin. The open-air hot spring allows you to enjoy the mountain view while immersing yourself in the comfort and healing of the hot spring, and the exquisite design of the bath makes all this beautiful. 💆‍♀️If the hot springs in Gora can make your skin glow, then the Japanese spa at Kadan Spa will bring you ultimate relaxation. Surrounded by nature, immersed in a deeply relaxing spa experience, and with unique Japanese spa techniques, your body and mind will be completely stretched and restored.

Hakone Ten-yu Hotel: An International Experience of Hot Springs, Scenic Views, and Music

Hakone Ten-yu Hotel: An International Experience of Hot Springs, Scenic Views, and Music

Hakone Ten-yu Hotel is a unique destination that combines international flair with Japanese hot spring culture. The hotel's front desk exudes an international atmosphere, with modern facilities and staff fluent in both Chinese and English, ensuring smooth communication and excellent service that makes guests feel at home. The room facilities are somewhat outdated, with a wooden tub on the balcony showing signs of use. The room is located on the sixth floor, but unfortunately, the view is obstructed by trees, limiting the scenery. The provided yukata in the room is deep blue with a red belt, simple yet retaining traditional charm. The hotel's hot springs are a highlight, featuring two open-air baths that alternate daily between men and women, allowing guests to experience both in a single day. The hot spring on the sixth floor resembles an infinity pool with panoramic mountain views, while the one on the fifth floor offers a more rustic mountain experience. The two provide distinctly different experiences, with a personal preference for the openness and beauty of the sixth-floor hot spring. Regarding dining, the breakfast offers unlimited snow crab legs, but the cold food affects the taste. The variety of dishes is rich, combining both Japanese and Western styles, but lacks memorable flavors. The window seats offer better views, but seating is guided by staff, and the coffee machine struggles to meet demand during peak times. The hotel's additional services are delightful, including two free classical music performances, complimentary tea and coffee, and unlimited ice cream. Each guest receives an ice cream token upon check-in, which can be replenished at the front desk once used.

Experience Report: Blisstia Hakone Sengokuhara, a rising star in 2024.

Experience Report: Blisstia Hakone Sengokuhara, a rising star in 2024.

Amid the hustle and bustle of city life and work pressure, everyone yearns for a haven where they can relax. Blisstia Hakone Sengokuhara is the paradise you've been dreaming of. Since its official opening in 2024, it has become a holy place for countless travelers with its unique charm. Located in Sengokuhara, Hakone, Blisstia is in a perfect location. It is not only close to Sengokuhara Elementary School Station, with convenient transportation, making every step from the station to the hotel easy and pleasant, but what is even more surprising is that the hotel entrance is the station, as if the world is at your feet. A few steps away, you can reach the 711 convenience store, and there are various restaurants around, whether you want to taste authentic Japanese cuisine or find exotic flavors, you can satisfy you here. The design of the hotel room is even more eye-catching. I was fortunate to stay in a two-bedroom suite, which was extremely spacious, with a full 100 square meters of area, which not only provided enough activity space, but also made people feel open. Three comfortable large beds are placed in two separate rooms, whether you are traveling with family or friends, you can guarantee that you have a private rest environment. The biggest highlight of Blisstia is its hot spring experience. Not only are there two carefully designed public hot springs, so that every guest can enjoy the fun of bathing, but what is even more surprising is that each room is also equipped with a private hot spring, allowing you to enjoy the nourishment of the hot spring in a private space and completely relax. The room is fully equipped with facilities, microwave oven, induction cooker, washing and drying machine, to meet all your life needs. What's more intimate is that there are also personal care products such as makeup remover, toner, hair care essential oil, etc. These details all reveal the hotel's care and attentiveness to guests. Blisstia Hakone Sengokuhara is the most comfortable experience in my trip. It not only has an excellent location, spacious and comfortable rooms, and thoughtful service, but what makes people linger is the private and noble hot spring experience. I strongly recommend every traveler, when you come to Hakone, you might as well stop and experience the charm of Blisstia Hakone Sengokuhara. I believe it will become the most unforgettable memory of your journey.

Hakone Gora Byakudan: A luxurious two-night stay.

Hakone Gora Byakudan: A luxurious two-night stay.

Despite the high praise for its environment, facilities, and services, the high price of Hakone Gora Byakudan has always been a deterrent. However, a chance booking when other hot spring hotels were fully booked brought the most comfortable and enjoyable stay of the trip. This experience made me want to stay a few more nights! - **18 luxury rooms**: The hotel only has 18 rooms, even the smallest room is 60 square meters, and all are designed in a Japanese-Western style, blending traditional and modern aesthetics. This time we stayed in the "Rin" room on the 5th floor, about 85 square meters, spacious and well-designed, making people feel extremely comfortable. - **Private open-air hot spring and mountain view terrace**: Each room is equipped with a private open-air hot spring, where you can soak in the hot spring while overlooking the Daimonji Mountain, and the starry sky at night is even more dazzling. The hotel thoughtfully provides a telescope to make the stargazing experience even more perfect. - **In-room gourmet experience**: Breakfast and dinner are enjoyed in the room, the taste is excellent, dinner is kaiseki cuisine, the menus for the two nights are different. The first night was mainly pork and puffer fish, and the second night was a feast of crab and wagyu. - **Free drinks**: The room provides a variety of drinks such as tea, coffee, juice, and wine, all free of charge, so that people can taste all kinds of delicious food while enjoying the hot spring. - **Large bath experience and food**: In addition to the open-air hot spring in the room, the large bath is also worth a try. Although there is no scenery, the free milk, lactic acid drinks and smoked cheese provided outside the bath are delicious. - **Thoughtful travel service**: The hotel provides a free shuttle service within a 10-minute drive, mainly to and from Gora Station, which provides great convenience for guests' travel. Whether traveling with friends and family or enjoying it alone, Hakone Gora Byakudan can provide an unforgettable stay experience. Not only does it have a luxurious environment and meticulous service, but it also has a hot spring experience and gourmet enjoyment that makes people linger. In the hot spring town of Hakone, it is undoubtedly an ideal place for people to relax and enjoy life. **【Hakone Gora Byakudan Highlights Summary】** - **Luxury room type**: Japanese-Western design, spacious and comfortable, minimum 60 square meters. - **Private hot spring and mountain view**: Each room is equipped with a private open-air hot spring, overlooking Daimonji Mountain. - **Gourmet experience**: Kaiseki cuisine changes for two nights, free drinks in the room. - **Large bath and food**: Free milk, lactic acid drinks and smoked cheese. - **Shuttle service**: Free shuttle within a 10-minute drive, mainly to and from Gora Station. --- Hakone Gora Byakudan, a booking is a deep experience of luxury and natural beauty.
