No regrets! I captured the diamond sea!

No regrets! I captured the diamond sea!

Here is a guide to photographing the diamond sea in Harbin: Preparation - Clothing: Prepare down jackets, thick sweaters, thermal underwear, hats, scarves, gloves, snow boots, and other warm clothing. You can also bring hand warmers. - Equipment: Bring cameras, phones, and other shooting equipment. To prevent the battery from draining quickly, bring enough power banks and hand warmers. You can also prepare a flashlight to illuminate the ice. Transportation - Driving or taxi: Navigate to "Sand Beach Tribe" and you will see signs to the diamond sea near the parking lot. - Public transportation: Take Metro Line 2 to "Ice and Snow World" Station, exit from Exit 3, and walk straight for about 10 minutes to reach the diamond sea. Shooting time - Morning: 7:00 am to 9:00 am, when the ice is crystal blue and there are fewer people, so you can take photos to your heart's content. - Afternoon: 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm, when the sun is low and the ice is dyed warm gold or orange, creating a great atmosphere for sunset photography. Shooting tips - Foreground composition: Find a piece of ice with a nice shape as the foreground and blur it to add depth and atmosphere to the picture. - Backlight shooting: Shoot against the sun to make the ice shine more. You can increase the exposure compensation to highlight the crystal-clear ice. - Creative shooting: Find a piece of ice to hold in your hand, or lie on the ice surrounded by ice blocks, and use a drone to take aerial shots for a stunning effect.

Heilongjiang | Flood Control Monument, Songhua River Bridge

Heilongjiang | Flood Control Monument, Songhua River Bridge

❤ Recommended reason: The north end of Zhongyang Street is the Flood Control Monument, an important landmark in Harbin. The monument is a cylinder, and the relief in the middle of the monument depicts the flood control scene. There are signs under the monument indicating the flood levels and peak flow rates in 1932, 1957, and 1998. Behind the monument is a Roman-style corridor with 20 columns. 👍 Most recommended: The Binzhou Line Harbin Songhua River Bridge (formerly the East Qing Railway Harbin Songhua River Bridge) is located on the east side of Stalin Park on the banks of the Songhua River in Harbin. It opened on October 2, 1901, and is the earliest railway bridge on the Songhua River, the first cross-river bridge in Harbin, and the boundary bridge between Daoli and Daowai districts in Harbin. 🌟 Highlights: The Binjiang Line Songhua River Railway Bridge is part of the China Eastern Railway building complex and is a national key cultural relic protection unit. Now a new bridge has been built next to the old railway bridge, and the old railway bridge has been retired, with no more trains whistling past, but it attracts a large number of nostalgic tourists to check in.

Harbin is so much fun

Harbin is so much fun

When walking, don't put your hands in your pockets, it's easy to slip, try to take small steps forward On the roads of Harbin, there is always ice that can cause you to slip. Freeing your hands helps maintain balance. The same goes for taking small steps. Don't casually throw kids into thick snow, the snow can easily pour into the boots Breathing masks can easily get wet, and when they do, they become very cold, have a few extra for replacement, the same goes for face masks When feeding deer, stay away from those big antlers, it hurts if you get hit (ps: I was directly knocked down and had a large bruise, I even dropped the basket) Deer are quite gentle, just greedy, anyway, I slapped them a few times! Warning!!! Don't let kids hold the basket, the deer's antlers may hurt them, it's very dangerous, kids are shorter, the antlers may directly hit their face, eyes and other vulnerable parts. Candied strawberries are all the same price, it feels like the ones from other places are bigger than those on Central Street, candied haws are the best. Don't buy grilled sausages on Central Street, they are all starch, ignore this if you like it. It's very difficult to get a taxi on Central Street, even if you offer more money, it's difficult. Take public transportation or walk an extra street to get a taxi. Harbin barbecue is delicious, we just went to a place with a lot of people nearby, didn't go to any internet-famous shops Don't buy Russian crafts, they are all made in Yiwu If you want to buy Russian food, you can look at the varieties and buy them online, it's the same, and it's free shipping, no need to carry it back You can buy sausages from Harbin Meat Union or Qiulin Lidos, normally there is fat, you can ask for pure lean sausages. Then there is a Russian smoked beef tendon sausage that is quite delicious, like jelly, QQ. But these sausages are not very accustomed to, you can process them according to local tastes In Harbin, try to use Didi, don't take taxis, the reputation is too bad Northeastern cuisine may not be to your taste, but the sweet and sour pork from Lao Chu Jia is quite delicious, you can get a number from the mini program, no need to get it on site, can save some time Frozen pears taste like Fujian's soaked pears, if you are curious, you can buy a small amount to try Everyone go to the Ice and Snow World early to queue up, it opens at 11 o'clock, normally starts queuing at 10 o'clock. As soon as you enter the door, everyone will run wildly to the attractions, running is very hot, so put on warm baby and heating insoles when you are cold. The food court in the Ice and Snow World has no place to heat water, everyone bring your own thermos cup! (I don't know if there is a hot water area now) There are a lot of people queuing for food in the food court at meal times, everyone stagger your meals! Dress a little thinner inside, look better. Otherwise, it's awkward to take off your clothes to eat! The accommodation conditions in Snow Village are extremely poor, you can imagine it according to the standard of 50 yuan/night in the township. The prices are not as cheap as imagined, if you want to eat some special meals, it's quite expensive, 250-400 yuan/meal is quite normal

A white Christmas part 2

If you've never been to Harbin, China. It's definitely worth the visit. If you'd mentioned -20°c temperatures to me before I left the UK, I'd have laughed in disbelief and said "not a chance". Actually, it's not as cold as it sounds. Granted, you need your thermals and about 3-4+ layers of clothing, you cannot remove your gloves for more than a few seconds without your hands stinging and you're eyelashes begin to get frosty. All that aside, it's a great experience! The sculptures are incredibly detailed. There are also lots of activities for children and adults, though some require you to book a spot on their app. From Beijing, it took about 4.5 hours to get there by train, then I stayed at a hotel nearby the station. Harbin is small enough to travel around by subway or taxi easily. Most attractions are within a 30 minute drive from the station. For the ice festival, foreign tourists should buy tickets at the scene. the ticket includes a trip on the Ferris wheel. FYI, the Ferris wheel gets very busy after sunset, especially in the Chinese New year holiday expect to queue. #newyearadventure #whitechristmas #harbin
