Best Hotels near Ronald Brown Pathway, Zvekovica

Just returned from a weeks stay on our first trip to crotia, have to agree with a few of the other negative comments unfortunately. Setting of the hotel beautiful, pity about the pool setting but what can you do when its shaded, really cold water hence no one in it. Food , we were half board and could always manage to get a meal of some kind, agree about food not being very warm and not much variety over the week. Breakfasts excellent except for the Bacon. Staff in the restaurants never seemed very happy or came across as welcoming which was a shame as elsewhere in the hotel always pleasant & helpful. Rooms on the seventh floor where we were lovely view, couple of stains on the carpet but not bothered us! over bath shower difficult to get in & we are quite mobile still. Entertainment would have been good, there were singers on a few days but not for our taste, can`t please everyone but more effort for such a big hotel would draw in the residents. Buggy service excellent never waited long , not sure what it will be like in peak season. Cavtat beatiful! area around the harbour great with plenty of restaurants not a lot to do in the evening though but it was just nice to walk along the front. would certainly got to croatia again but not to this hotel. I haven`t seen any response from the hotel regarding feedback from the people who have stayed here, maybe it`s not their policy to read or comment but would be beneficial to them I think to get other peoples views.

This hotel is situated on the seaside with rooms with very beautiful views directly on the sea. The hotel is part of a huge complex, comprising several hotels and rentals of apartments with many small swimming pools and several restaurants. The rooms are large and comfortable without being able to claim a very luxury character. The hotel is very comfortable and the room was very clean and the bathroom was very clean and the bathroom was very clean and the bathroom was very clean and was very clean. The staff is friendly but probably insufficiently trained, so you are never accompanied to your table at the restaurant and men are served before women,. This lack of quality of service is seen in the breakfast, it is the worst place, a factory, a very large self-service where all guests from the hotels in the complex are all in promiscuity. There again, no one to accompany you at the table or take your order, you are to deal with and serve you in this huge self-catering cantine. Finally, the restaurants of the complex are lunch restaurants but they lack the quality of service, a little more developed map and a refined decor to pretend to welcome you to dinner as a 5-star hotel should be the The hotel is a very good hotel, and it is a good hotel. The top roof of one of the Royal complex hotels remains, however, sympathetic to drink a glass while watching the sunset. At the end this wonderful situation is a little disrupted by the lack of refinements in the hotel, the poor service and the breakfast plant.

My fiancé and I visited for 4 nights as he was taking part in the Dubrovnik triathlon. We booked with EasyJet Holidays and had a private transfer to and from the airport. Our driver both ways was excellent. On the journey into Dubrovnik he stopped at a viewpoint so that we could see the Old Town for the first time. Our driver on the way back to the airport told us more of the local area that we had started to see. First impressions of the hotel were really good. Impressive entrance and lobby area. The bedroom had a beautiful view of the sea, the nearer islands and the distant coastline. The room had a good sized wardrobe with hangers. There was a well stocked minibar if you want that kind of thing and what we thought was a welcome bottle of wine but actually had a sign next to it to say it was part of the display and chargeable. There are no drawers in the room so for a couple staying longer than we did, there is inadequate storage. The bathroom is stocked with nice shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, shower gel and body lotion. The pool area was clean but we only used the inside pool which was on the top floor which was a lovely space. The pool temperature said 27 degrees but was very cold. The jacuzzi was really nice as was the sauna and steam room! The reason for a low rating given that this is advertised as a 5 star hotel was the food, especially the evening meal, which was dreadful !! The breakfast was passable but I’ve eaten in better cafés !!! The restaurant was open until 10pm and one night we got there at 8.30 pm and the second time 9pm so nowhere near the end of service. We had to attract attention to order drinks. There is very little choice for starters. There were piles of soup bowls but no soup. The main course consisted of mostly overcooked meat or small bits of fish. The ‘veg’ last night was a choice of a pea slop in some form of gravy, a beetroot risotto that had no moisture and no taste and either potato pie or what I would call a hash brown. My fiancé and I got a selection of desserts as we’d hardly eaten anything and absolutely nothing had any taste or moisture - no ice cream, cream or custard available. Not even a cheese board and crackers. A really nice touch (not !) is that absolutely no one comes near to clear away dirty plates after each course and therefore you end up with a pile of leftovers and crockery in the middle of your table. Not a good thing at all !! The location of the hotel is very good and the No. 4 bus stops right outside and takes about 15 minutes to get to Pile and the entrance to the old town. (Get the Dubrovnik Pass which not only gives access to the City Walls and museums but also gives free bus travel). We ended up eating out twice because of the food and thank goodness we did; on a recommendation from a friend we went to the Panorama restaurant on our first night which is at the top of the cliff accessible via cable car - stunning views ! The Royal Palm is set a little outside the city alongside the coast in a complex of three other ‘royal’ hotels that provided a number of bars and restaurants to choose from throughout the day. This choice extends to the pools and gyms as well. Lovely well appointed and clean rooms. The en suite was well equipped and modern. Great sea views as well. The staff both in the restaurant and reception couldn’t have been more helpful. First time in Croatia. Lovely country, Dubrovnik city was really Beautiful. Most days busy from the cruise ships but its didn’t detract from the place.

The location is very good, in the center of the old city, the flat square on the north side of the main road, unlike many other hotels that need to climb many stairs. There is an inconspicuous green door under a restaurant with the name of the hotel at the door. After entering the door, go directly to the second floor to the front desk. Mixed men and women, said to be 12 people shelf bed, but the actual ~ I live in 5 shelves bed can accommodate 10 people. There is a lamp hanging on the wall and two sockets at the head of the bed. A thin quilt and a bath towel are provided. There are lockers but no locks, so either bring your own locks or carry valuables with you. The toilet and bathroom are divided into men and women. It is more troublesome to put things without hooks in the bathroom. There is a small kitchen behind the toilet where you can cook by yourself, there is a patio next to the kitchen, and there are two lounge chairs to rest. A day of about 20 euros for the poor travel student party is a good choice. Note: Since the restaurant downstairs will be noisy until late, then the clock in the old town will start ringing at 6 o'clock in the morning.

I first stayed in Plat as a 10 year old, 40 years ago. We came to stay in Villa Samba as part of my 50th birthday travelling celebrations this year. I wanted to return to Croatia, which was Yugoslavia on my first visit, as I remember the friendliness of the people and the good food. We couldn't have wished for more from a location or accomodation. Anna and Nikola are such friendly owners and offered great advice on things to do in the area. They take real pride in their accomodation block. (And strangely I found out that Nikola may have been playing traditional music on my first visit in the now overgrown ruin of the Hotel Plat down on Plat beach). Reasons to come here: 1. Plat is close to the airport but you don't hear the planes. 2. The apartment we stayed in was immaculate with breathtaking views. 3. There is a bus route which goes right past the apartments just up on the main road. 4. Dubrovnik is just 15 mins away on the bus and worth a couple of trips to explore the beautiful town and don't forget a trip to Lokkrum island on a boat from Dubrovnik harbour. 5. The stunning harbour town of Cavtat is 15 mins in the opposite direction and worth a day spent there. 6. The traditional village of Cilipi is just past the airport and worth visiting on a Sunday morning to watch the performanace of the traditional dances in traditional costume. 7. We planned to visit Montenegro and Mostar, neither of which did we do, due to illness, but both trips are easily doable from this location. 8. Visit the river Gruda and spend a peaceful day walking the river, through the shadey woodland with perhaps a spot of lunch at Konoba Vinica Monkovic or Konavoski Dvori Eco Green Restuaurant. We ate at the latter and had a very tasty meal, not the biggest portion ever and a bit pricey but it was a beautiful setting and very good food. We hired a car, which we booked in the UK before we travelled, collected it at the airport and used it every day except when visiting Dubrovnik-it was easier to go in on the bus. My husband and I stayed here with our two teenage daughters in a one bedroom apartment this was a really lovely stylish property. Apartments are spacious and very well designed. We had a room overlooking the garden area. Plenty of storage. Breakfast was included in our rate - and I can honestly say it is one of the best buffet breakfast offerings I have encountered before, plenty of options available - and freshly squeezed orange juice and kiwi juice was Devine. If you get chance pop in for dinner, this was also super tasty and very reasonably priced. Very easy to get around we used Ubers which were well priced and reliable. The roof top pool was great, very comfortable loungers and also plenty of deck chairs - although in all honesty i would say it wouldn’t be the best option if you have children under 10. Kids love to jump around and shout a lot when playing by the pool they are on holiday after all and want to have fun! But due to the small shared area this isn’t ideal for either the parents of the kids or other guests enjoying the space- it also has very little shade so again not the best place for little ones. Great location- beautiful place!
