"A great choice for an overnight stay in Zurich! Just one tram stop from Zurich main station. The hotel offers complimentary still or sparkling water in the lobby, and a kettle is available for hot water. The room design is quite creative, with a curtain separating the bathroom and sleeping area. As is common with many European hotels, there was no air conditioning during our stay"
"Hands down, this is a very lovely hotel and is the most glittering gem in Zürich
The place is…..
- located in a vantage point that is close to everything
- nice and comfortable that puts it on the pedestal in the same league;
- squeaky clean and spick and span;
- very comfortable bed that you are mollycoddled, from the very first moment you hit the sack;
- quiet and reclusive, and conveniences are a stone's throw away;
- Facilities just as described
Simply the best accommodation!"
"The air conditioning was very strong and effective. The central train station is quite accessible, just a 10-minute tram ride away, or a two-stop tram journey followed by one train transfer. European standard power outlets are provided, which is convenient if you have the right adapter. The cleanliness was also very good."
"Room was nice and a lot more spacious than expected. I had booked for a single person, so not sure why the sofa bed was made, so couldn't really sit on the sofa during my stay.
Bathroom and toilet were clean and well maintained.
I booked this one specifically because of the gym. It was disappointing to find that the cable machine had no attachments other than a bar. It's ok if you like to use free weights, but think that could be improved."
"A very easily accessible and comfortable hotel. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the check in was an easy experience. The rooms look new and are decent in size with clean bathrooms. There’s a big supermarket closeby."
"Very good location, just 10min walk to the airport. Many shopping and dining choices around. Room spacious and new, lobby area has a very fashionable modern feel. A little tricky to get there by taxi though, best to set Hyatt Regency as destination and then take a short walk to Hyatt Place"
"Service: I called the front desk because they didn't have a wine opener, but they told me to look in the minibar, said ”Thank you,” and hung up. (There was only water in the fridge.)
I called the front desk again, but they didn't answer, so I went downstairs. The employee who answered the phone was just standing there blankly in front of a computer. I asked again if they had one, and they asked if there was one in the minibar. They gave me a bottle opener. I told them I wanted one, and only then did they say they didn't have one.
I asked again if they had one, and they told me to go to the bar to borrow one.
At Mama Shelter Zurich, you have to find your own services!!
They don't even have things like an electric kettle, coffee, tea, or cups, which are typical of 4-star hotels! (They'll probably provide them if you ask, right?)
Other hotels offer double rooms with a single mattress, but this one has two twin beds pressed together. Please note.
The location is great, right in front of the station, and it's a new hotel, so it's clean. But the service makes me want to stay here again. ^^
(The air conditioning didn't work very well!)"
"This is a lovely hotel with a convenient location—just 20 minutes from Zurich Airport. It's close to the ICB and a bus stop, making travel easy. The food is exceptional, and the atmosphere is clean and quiet. The staff is friendly and accommodating."
"Upon check-in, they pre-authorized my card for the deposit, assuring me it was just a hold. However, my bank statement shows it was a full charge. The next day, at check-out, I was informed the deposit would be refunded after deducting the city tax. It's been 10 days, and I still haven't received the refund.
Two different front desk staff quoted different parking fees. Does this mean the parking fee is arbitrarily determined by them?
The room was incredibly small, almost the size of a typical Japanese hotel room.
The breakfast offered a wide variety of options, but apart from the fried eggs, everything else felt uninspired. It couldn't even compare to a small town B&B and certainly didn't justify the 'Crown' brand name or its price."
"As the name suggests the hotel is Central to many food options, Zurich HB (200m) and shopping.
We loved the stroll around the city at night and liked that there was a supermarket just across the road.
We stayed in both a Junior Suite and Double Bedroom as we had to extend our stay. Junior Suite is extremely spacious with a full lounge and desk separate from the bedroom. The look of the rooms are a bit dated but clean and well maintained.
Hotel staff are friendly and helpful which made our stay delightful."

Great
AAmietravelsGreat location not far from the station and walkable to the centre.
Mack on reception was lovely and couldn’t do enough for you whilst making genuine conversations and rapport.
The rooms were perfect with clean shared toilets. Especially on the 3/4th floor where they have been renovated.
The hotel bar was cheap and the breakfast looked good.
GGuest UserThank you for your kindness
We stayed at this hotel for the first day in Switzerland and It was a perfect choice
They greeted us with a gentle smile, with free upgraded room and all day they treated us very kindly, giving us extra towels and keeping our keys
Especially, the next day I was so sleepy that I couldn't go down to have breakfast, so my husband went there by himself, but the manager offered him to take my breakfast to our room , so I could enjoy as well
It was a perfect their generosity and their bread as breakfast was amazing, I love it!
Your hotel makes us love Switzerland more and more
and I highly recommend this hotel to you as a good start of your journey!

AauntwangA standard chain hotel with rich breakfast, in line with the usual standards of Holliday Inn, warm service, large enough room, clean and tidy linens, moderately soft and hard beds, no odor in the bathroom, although the room has been renovated for a long time, the facilities are well maintained and the comfort is good.
I stayed in this hotel in 2011. Although it is a bit far from the city, the surrounding facilities are very modern. There is a main road in front of the door, which feels like living in a development zone. When I stayed this time, the road was being repaired in front of the hotel, and the surrounding environment felt rather shabby, like living in a construction site dormitory.
There is bus No. 11, which can go directly to the city center 200m away from the hotel. The journey takes about 30 minutes. You can buy a day ticket for Zone 1 on the machine at the bus station (the round-trip fare is the same as the day ticket), and you can get a bus map at the front desk, which is convenient for travel.
The hotel parking fee is CHF24/day, probably because the hotel occupancy rate is not very high, there are many empty parking spaces, and parking is very convenient.

AAnonymous UserOur room was spacious and comfortable, elegantly decorated and equipped with modern facilities. The magnificent mountain view outside the window was a pleasure to wake up every morning. The bed was very comfortable and ensured a good sleep quality.
HHarmonickFine for a business traveler. For couples...eh. Walls are pretty thin as stated. The ”lounge” is just a room on the 9th floor with a TV and some games. There's no deadbolt on the door. That being said, the sunrise corner room gets unbeatable views!
Also, classic European bathroom where water just gets... everywhere when showering. So it's solid for a night in Zurich but not sure I could recommend it for a week of travel or if you're looking for something romantic.

PPhoebearound 10 mins walk from ZurichHB easy to walk to two big luggage, hotel provide strong air-con which is good under a hot weather.
the microwave oven is easy to use and we made ourselves a lovely dinner
beddings are very good and soft
luggage lockers are all full when I arrived (around 13pm) we put it in the room (not in the locker) very unsecured as the don't guarantee the safety of the luggage ( have a memo sticked on the wall)
self check in is good but too rigid, i tried to checkin the room at 15:00 but still need to wait for the hotel to send the confirmation message to checkin the room .
few street behind the hotel is a bit complex has stripping club and bar

AAngelinchinaThis hostel is clean and conveniently located, close to the main touristic attractions and the main train station. Shared bathrooms are clean and well maintained. The room is comfortable.
However - the hostel is just next door to a bar, so it’s very noisy until the bar closes (on a Friday night is 2AM). checkout time is at 10AM, which is not only unusual but very inconvenient.
I won’t be staying in this hotel when I return to Zurich

JJennygyanEasy to self check in and the breakfast was great
Room with bath tub
Nearby tram station no.4 and Coop supermarket so BEER time
Just room a bit dark
Sstw2566Good location, easy access by bus from zurich HB. Well equipped with amenities which you can cook simple dishes.
No kettle in the room is a little bit inconvenient. And my room is near the road, so it's noisy for cars passing and sometimes men talking outside.
