Hotel Montana Zürich

Was here in May (Spring) The hotel is conveniently located near Zurich HB, which makes it great for travelers. There’s also a lift, which is helpful for carrying luggage. Breakfast was decent. As someone with dietary restrictions (halal), the options were limited — mainly bread, eggs, and mushrooms. There were also apples and canned fruits available for yogurt, which was a nice touch. The room itself was decent and comfortable. However, cleanliness in the bathroom could be improved — the movable mirror was rusty. That said, I had read some negative reviews beforehand, so I came prepared to expect the worst, and honestly, it turned out better than I expected. The TV wasn’t a smart TV, even though the remote had a smart menu option, which was a bit odd. Zurich city area can be quite uneventful, so one or two nights here is enough. The in-room coffee machine looked promising at first but turned out to be faulty. When I asked the front desk, they said it needed time to heat up — even after an hour, it didn’t work. Thankfully, there was a hot water dispenser near the café in the lobby. Overall, the stay was acceptable — nothing fancy, but it does the job if you’re not expecting luxury.

good location, near to go to the train station and old town, with delicious breakfast served with great variety. Recommend

No Hot water on Friday night. Hot water only returned Saturday morning. Self checkin and checkout system lengthy and not intuitive. It took me a while to figure out how to turn on the heat. Everything else is fine!

A pleasant and valuable stay in Zurich , will revisit when come back again

The hotel is just a few minutes' walk from Zurich HB (Central Station). Although the building looks old, it is tidy and clean. The size of the room is reasonable for the price. The check in process is self-service and on-line. Since they mixed up my surname and other name, I need the assistance of the front desk in order to complete it. The breakfast is good, and the environment of the restaurant is comfortable. Guests can also enjoy free coffee whenever we want. One point for improvement is storing of luggage. It is completely at the guest's own risk since the door of the luggage room is unlocked and anyone can go in and take any bag in the room without any intervention of a hotel staff. Afterall, I recommend this hotel to other travelers to Zurich.
