We went in early September and it was very hot in Zurich. The room was SO HOT! Like 30 C+ inside. Despite opening the windows, it was hard to cool the room down even during the night because of the surrounding buildings that eliminated any possibility of a breeze. I'm giving it 3 stars because the room did come with 2 powerful fans that definitely helped with air flow. Privacy: There's a big office building right across (like, very close), so opening the windows meant zero privacy. If you're coming during colder months, I'd recommend this hotel. Not in the summer though...especially for the price. The positives: The hotel connects to the Opera Hotel lobby, so that was nice. Housekeeping was good and prompt. Bathroom was small, but very clean and modern. The decor in the room was nice and there was plenty of counter space.

The hotel was recommended by my Swiss Bank but I have never experienced such a diss functional process of booking. I received confirmation followed by an email where I could pay. A day before payment due I tried to pay on email and when I pressed the button told me out of time! As I was arriving a few days later was concerned they had not honoured my booking so endeavoured to contact the Seehof it took 6 emails before I got a response hours before leaving for my long distance flight to Zurich you might expect this lack of efficiency in a 3rd world country but Switzerland!! BTW brought to the attention of the GM who never explained or got back to me All in all the hotel is well situated with a reasonable breakfast even though the bakery products need improvement . One negative no English language stations on TV and the staff were not aware which surprised me. If you want to ring reception you have no idea what number to ring

This hotel is a wing of the more expensive Opera Hotel but features newly decorated stylish rooms and all the amenities of the Opera Hotel. Inventive nautical decor. Very comfortable beds and bathrooms. Good breakfast and helpful service. The location near the lake and Opera is ideal.

Booked for just one night . Good welcoming staff. . Room tidy and clean. Breakfast correct with all necessary. Reception in same place as bar/pub. Overall a good staying and may come back as vey well located . Good cafes and restaurants nearby. Also very central to transports . Good staying .

O ponto fraco deste hotel é os quartos não disporem de ar condicionado. Tirando este pormenor, de grande importância dado o calor que se verificava nos dias da minha estadia, o hotel é uma opção muito boa para quem visita Zurich. A localização do hotel é ótima. Os quartos são bons, espaçosos, bem mobilados e limpos. O staff é simpático. O pequeno almoço é bom, com boa qualidade e variedade.

Keine Klimaanlage bei 30 Grad draußen. Schlimmmmmmm sonst gut und sauber aber ein Hinweis bei der Buchung wäre gut da man heute schon davon ausgeht vis a vis Opernhaus klimatisierte Zimmer für 300.00 pro Nacht zu kriegen
