Had a week long stay recently at the hotel. Pros: Location is decent, there is a tram station within minutes walking distance outside the hotel. The check-in / check-out process and front office reception was pleasant, smooth and friendly. Complimentary breakfast was offered, not a very extensive buffet, no live station - but it was good and had all the staples you look for - cereals, juices, fruits, beverages, eggs (scrambled and boiled), sausages, breads, cheeses and boulangerie items like pastries etc. It’s right next to some shopping outlets and restaurants, also Sihlcity mall is next door. So it’s convenient to head out for some food/ essentials etc. Cons - the hotel location is not preferred by cab drivers. We had a long wait to find a cab to head to the airport and found one only after a couple of cancellations. So please factor in time when heading for time bound meetings or travel, if booking yourself. Else you can ask the hotel to arrange for you. The cabs don’t stop at hotel entrance but the underground parking from where you head to the entrance one level up. Not a huge issue, unless you’re hauling heavy luggage. The hotel in general has a dark-themed decor. We saw the photos before booking but the rooms looked ok, until we saw it in person. It can be very dark if you prefer well-lit rooms, our coffee station was unlit the whole time so we didn’t even bother making / using that section in the room. The only source of natural light is through the horizontal windows, depending on your room views. Also, we found the bed very uncomfortable. It’s the bouncy springy bed and two singles are joined to make a double. So we could feel the partition section at times. The radiator in the room makes a clicking sound, dripping noises in the night because of which we couldn’t get much sleep. No locking doors to the bathrooms and shower, so bear that in mind. Shower amenities have body wash, shampoo - conditioner get yourself. We carried ours so didn’t need dental kit - but it’s not given, could be available on request. Not a huge deal but just fyi - there are no phones in the room, so head down to the reception for any assistance you may need. Convenient for business travellers, for leisure travel, I might look at other options next time.
