Cozy hotel conveniently located in old town Zurich. We stayed here for 4 nights in May and had reserved 2 rooms for 3 adults. We got rooms on the first floor conveniently close to each other and we're decent size for the location. Rates are a bit pricey like other hotels in Zurich but the amenities of the property, location and most importantly the hotel staff make the choice value for money. Located nearby all attractions, transportation and restaurants there's plenty of choice. The breakfast spread is amazing and a great start to the day. Excellent breads, cereals, salmon, meats and eggs cooked to order. Coffee machine. The staff are very helpful don't hesitate asking for local recommendations that one wouldn't otherwise be aware of. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Would highly recommend.

The front desk was friendly and there were many reviews saying that luggage was stored, but it was self check-in, so luggage storage was not possible. It was difficult to find it anywhere on Trip.com.
Something different than expected... Even though I wrote down the country code and cell phone number well, the message needed for self check-in did not come, and the central entrance door was being repaired. may have done
It seems that the information written here on Treat.com does not work well with hotel check-in. E-mail and phone number were written as they were. Even though I'm not Chinese, my Chinese number was my number. There was no luggage storage, but when I went to check-in, they said they couldn't get in because it was still not cleaned. I think I entered after 1 hour and 30 minutes before the check-in time. After 4:30? However, there was no apology or apology, just wait 5 minutes, wait 10 minutes, that's all. It's been a while and I'm embarrassed to wait longer...
embarrassment point
-Self check-in: I'm glad I got a text message and had the online key on my phone... i can't even get a text
-Check-in time: Even if you arrived after a long time, you have to wait longer;
Good point
- Close to the station
- On a hill but close to the tram
- Anyway, it's clean.
- Quiet
- Air conditioning works well
- Spacious bathroom

We stayed in both the main hotel and in the guesthouse across the alley and were quite satisfied if both facilities knowing they been renovated within the last year. The main hotel is right around the corner from Zürich HB the rooms feature a nice private bath (new, big & clean) and nice modern styling. The guesthouse as new and stylish as hotels go, but the modular bath/shower unit with its semi-transparent blue glass leaves a lot to be desired when everyone in the room knows what your doing on toilet (very little privacy). We luckily are prepared and carry large binder clips and clipped a bath towel across the glass during our stay. The staff are amazing and extremely cordial. Free coffee/tea is offered 24/7 in the main hotel and on each floor. Guest house residents must go back across the alley to the main lobby. Day tour buses are right across the street for easy access. We would stay again definitely.

Dear EMA House Team (1 Nordstrasse Zurich) I have been staying with you on and off since May 2023. I cant rate you high enough, 5 Stars don't do justice. You are a fantastic team who have accommodated all my plan changes, even when it was at a short notice due to flight cancellations etc. The place is spotless and much better than any hotel in Central Zurich. I don't even think about looking for any other place in the city. I always feel very welcome when I arrive even when it was late at night. The suites are modern, clean, specious and very comfortable. Thank you again and look forward to my next visit. Noaman Hasan

Amazing service-from the front desk to restaurants, rooms, everything.Great concept. At the Rooftop Restaurant we really were pampered and the personal did a great service. Not pushy at all, but always present at the right time. Specially regards to Misses Korinna Kis and to Mr David. They went the extra mile to make a great evening amazing. Many thanks to the amazing chef-besides the obvious cooking skills, he proved a lot emotional intelligence and costumer focus.

Modern updated accommodations on the northern fringe of Zurich. It made for a nice, affordable stay within reach of what we came to this part of Switzerland to do. The first time I have been to the city while not on business and happy to report that the city has a lot to offer. The overall challenge with Switzerland is prices exceed what they should be. Drive an hour and a half north, south or west and prices drop by half for just about everything. It is what it is and just know and accept this. What I really liked about the hotel. 1. The decor, look and feel. Exudes class, without opulence. 2. Close to other shopping and transport links 3. The customer service was kind and helpful even with bloopers made along the way. They owned their mistakes and made it right. This is huge in my book-- well done. 4. Breakfast was very good 5. Outside terrace a respite from the one hot day we had. 6. Bed was comfortable 7. Ritual soaps in the bathroom. What I did not like: 1. Parking was 19 CHF per night 2. There was a blooper at check in (giving them credit, they made it right) What they should consider: 1. Add USB plugs at the night stand area 2. Maybe consider how to encorporate ”swiss'ness” into the stay (Lindt chocolate on the pillow, or something to that effect...) Overall: Good hotel, competitive price point with good customer service.

Lets begin with the one thing every international traveler staying at an airport hotel needs: power for one's devices. The guest rooms don't have any USB ports. The electrical outlets are the deeply recessed teardrop shape specifically designed to thwart the use of international outlet adaptor kits. The hotel does not have adaptors to lend. The front desk's solution? They have USB ports behind the front desk (then why not in the rooms?) and you can leave your device at the desk to be charged. Clearly, this hotel would prefer that you be Swiss. The WiFi network was completely unsecured and it kept disconnecting. Every 30 seconds or so. Moving on to the room: not very comfortable. The outside temperature was around 78F/25.5C and I had the AC turned up, but I still couldn't wear anything other than my unmentionables until the sun set and the outdoor temperature drpped. There are heavy metal blinds on the windows which can be opened but not raised or lowered. Kind of like the metal grates you see on store windows in dicey neighborhoods in New York. The sheets were thin. On one of the beds, the sheet had several black marks, although it appeared to have been laundered. There was a safe and an electric kettle. In the closet, the panel covering the circuit breaker panel had been removed from (or fallen off?) the wall and was on the floor leaning against the closet wall. Good thing I didn't need to hang anything up. Maybe someone was trying to find a way to plug in their phone. The water pressure in the shower was just barely adequate. Someone had installed the sink faucet handle incorrectly, so you could only turn it to the left. The towels were pretty good, however. The breakfast buffet is 5CHF, but if you want to get breakfast in your room, you will pay an additional 26CHF. I like getting room service for breakfast and I've stayed at many hotels that are much better than this one, but I have never seen a room service charge anywhere in the same galaxy. Even if breakfast costs $25 and there is a $3 charge plus 18% service charge plus you tip 18%, that is still less than half of what the Dorint will charge you to get breakfast brought to you room. I ate at the bar with a group of people and we requested separate checks before we ordered. The food was fine, if pricey. My gin and soda cost 21.5 CHF. Again, I stayed in two other, far better, hotels in the Bernes Alps during the same trip, and I never paid more than 13CHF for the same drink. When it came time to pay, one might have wondered if the server and bartender were solving Fermat's last theorem rather than adding up seven checks for a one course supper. It took as long to pay as it did to eat.

Outstanding
RRonan PatrickNice hotel just outside the main area of Zurich. Room was a bit expensive considering it was small and had a shared bathroom. Maybe it was just Zurich prices, or the fact that Taylor Swift was in town and lots of places week booked up. Good tram system meant it was still easy to get around. Room was a bit hot at night and there was construction going on literally outside my window in the morning with the builders blaring their music in my window.
WWilson SamWe had a terrible experience on the second night of the stay:
We went out for city tour in the morning and when we come back to the room in the afternoon, our room is like being robbed, 3 out of 4 suitcases are missing, the bathroom is only half way clean, balcony door left open, most clothes hanging in the wardrobe are missing. I called front office immediately and i have been told that housekeeping had found the door of wardrobe is broken and has a risk of falling, so for safety reason, therefore, they have transferred our suitcases to the new room.
so here are the question:
1. Why there are only half of my belongings are being transferred to the new room? You either transferred all my belongings to the new room, but not just half of it, it is so scary when you back to your room which it is like a crime scene!
2. Is it normal for a luxury hotel to touch guest's personal belonging without permission of the guest?
3. If the hotel find it a safety issue inside the room, why do they still let the guest go into the room? That kind of put the guest in a dangerous environment that may get injured!
4. Have the hotel ever tried to contact the guest, by phone/email of such incident had happened in the room? or worst case, to stop me to get in to the room, when i passed by front desk before get back to the room? none of it had been done
In short, this is not acceptable for any hotel, not talking about Ameron is a luxury brand, the hotel has poor risk management, this is my first time using this brand and I don't think there will be a second chance, terrible experience and even on the checked out date, no one care to ask how was my stay.
GGuest UserWe arrived a day early for our tour and didn’t think our room would be available yet, but the front staff asked for 15 minutes to check with house keeping. We lucked out and our rooms were available early. 300ish room courtyard side which is only one floor up. Bit of noise from the other side of the hotel due to construction, but not noticeable in our room. Great air con or use the large windows. Shower very hot so you don’t need to set it too high. Bit more modern than my taste, but grows on you and not garish colours. Easy tram ride to the old town for site seeing or take a stroll along the river beside the part. Wonderful gardens. Breakfast is plentiful and can be chaos in the morning when there are three groups in the hotel. Suggestion: Move the centre aisle of tables half a foot to the left so the the aisle on the right when you face the food is a bit larger. Use the first table on the right for the bowls and plates. Helps out those that are shorter. The people flow is better when it is right to left since the coffee machines are on the left. We did this flow the last day in the hotel with our group and it was less congested at the coffee.
GGuest UserHad a fantastic, albeit brief stay at the end of June 2023. Adler is centrally located in the historic heart of the city, but the double glazed windows block out any outside noise. I’m a super light sleeper, and we stayed on a Friday night, but didn’t hear a peep. That said: The room itself was tiny, but the view overlooking the square was charming. Very much a “what more do you need?” kind of vibe. The bed was very firm, and the pillows were very soft. For me, this is the opposite of my preference, but that’s personal, and I won’t fault the hotel. Elevator went out of order the morning of our departure, but they offered to carry our luggage down the stairs. This was definitely appreciated, as we were on the fourth floor. Also, I left my wedding ring on the nightstand, and upon realizing this, I called them: They offered to check, and called me back promptly to let me know they found it. No need to follow up, chase them down, bug them, etc. This was a great way to close the out transaction, and it left a very positive impression. I’d definitely stay again, thanks to the attitude of the staff.
MMIKOThe hotel is a little away from the center (15~20 min by tram), plus 4min walk to the station. The check-in was quick, although in proper Swiss fashion the check-in time is only at 3pm. Fortunately, we were allowed to move in earlier. The room is big enough, but if you have big suitcases it'll be a bit tight. The staff is courteous and helpful, and try to accommodate if they can. The breakfast selection isn't too wide, but it's well arranged and has most of what you'd expect. There's a proper gym (exceedingly rare) with enough equipment to satisfy all but the pros. However, it does get a bit busy at times. They also have a decent swimming pool. There's a workstation with a printer next to the reception that guests can use for free - perfect if you need to print out tickets. They were happy to hold our baggage after we moved out until our flight in the evening - much appreciated.
We paid about 125CHF a night for a standard room for two including breakfast, which is a good deal in Zurich. All things considered, there's very little to complain about. We had an excellent stay, and would love to stay there again.
They were happy to store our baggage while in the cosmos trip, also on our last one night stay the let us store while we went out for the day. Made such a difference. Complimentary drink card comes with your room key. No one told us about it. I found it when reading the key cover. They provide a outlet for universal adapter. Most Swiss hotels we stayed in did not. Some you could get at desk when leaving a deposit. Rooms are not very big. However, they are clean and for one or two nights are good. No facilities to make tea or coffee in room or when we asked the staff. Not a lot of shops nearby and nothing open on Sunday.
GGuest UserPossibly the only worst hotel in the Accor chain. They advertise their rooms to be air conditioned but they are not. They have an aircon panel in their room and a vent but they don’t work, most likely switched off centrally. When you ask they give you the run around: “it works” “city banned air conditioning in hotels” “change a room” but nope. It simply doesn’t work. Now, this weren’t a massive issue in autumn, spring etc but in a summer heatwave (33C) when a room is 25-26C then asking it be conditioned to an eco friendly 22C should not be an issue in a hotel that rates itself 4*. But it is. That’s the issue. This is a 3*property charging 4*prices. Apartments are also small -slightly bigger than their rooms in Ibis. But this is Zurich. I reckon Accor should reclass this as 3* slight lower the price to reduce the complaints. This hotel is after all the same as the ibis (it is the same building) the only difference is “apartment” having a desk and a kitchenette
GGuest UserYes, there is no hiding the fact that the Krone Pop-up has gone to great lengths to keep their prices as low as possible, but for the most part it is a well-run and comfortable base for short stays. The rooms and communal lounge are inviting, stylish and well-kept. The building is many centuries old, and traces its various incarnations are visible in these areas, giving it a quirky character. The views across the river to the old town are also beautiful. A hotel in this price category so close to HB is obviously a rarity, let alone one with nice perks like this. The WiFi was incredibly fast and stable. Late check-in worked perfectly. The hotel has a slick system for online check-in and the key dispenser at the entrance worked without a hitch. The Assistant Manager was really helpful and welcoming by e-mail in advance. To be fair, my stay was on a Sunday night, so the cleaning frequency may have been lower than usual, but the communal toilets and showers were not in great shape. They clearly are not designed for how intensely they are used, nor are they cleaned often enough for it. There's nothing worse in a communal shower than a moist shower curtain and no space to avoid it. Add to that the hair, sticky residue and grubby towel on the floor, and suddenly the room price doesn't seem like such a bargain. The solution is so simple: a pile of fresh floor towels and basket for used ones, plus some Mr. Clean for self-service cleaning during unmanned hours. The Soeder toiletries were lovely though! Arriving late on a hot day also proved to be unlucky, because I arrived to an overheated, stuffy room with no time to let it cool down before going to bed. The adjacent bar really is loud, but not much of a hindrance to sleep because it seems to close early (some time around midnight, on Sunday at least). The facing building across the narrow alley is very close and looks directly into the room, limiting the privacy and therefore how open you can leave the windows to let fresh air in. So, all-in-all the sleep quality was just too low. The heat, noise and lack of privacy made for a restless night. I just needed a place to spend 7 hours between my flight arriving late at night and then my train departing early the next morning, and the Krone Pop-up was the pragmatic choice for that. I wouldn't consider it for work trips - the sleep quality isn't good enough - but it could be a sociable, good-value base for leisure trips during the week.
DDr@NatureHuntAn affordable, at prime location and tidy clean hotel in Zurich, Switzerland. Very near to main railway station. Breakfast is also available. I recommend to stay here and enjoy the beauty of Zurich with low budget specially for youth

CClive AldredThe biggest problem is accessing this studio. The owners always claim, but never send the password for access in advance to the guests. So we ended up stuck with our suitcases in the dark and it was pouring with rain having to call a phone number displayed on the premises door. This was answered eventually and our access was granted. We had to repeat this process to gain access to the inclusive internet and on our checkout to find out where to leave and secure the key.
Location is good as its convenient for the tram station which is for No.8 and No.3 trams. These take you to Belleview or Central respectively. The location is peaceful and there is a wonderful Vietnamese restaurant directly opposite the main tram terminus (100meters walk). The room itself has almost everything needed for your stay, but lacks a washing machine/dryer for clothes. It has a large radiator that quickly warms the room and electronic venetian blinds. Kettle, fridge, small cooker and microwave, shower and TV are provided but none of the channels were English speaking (even English movies were re-dubbed into German).
