Playa La Ropa is not a bad area to be in, as sections of Zihua go, but I would NOT choose this hotel. It is overpriced for what you receive, which is not much -- a comfy bed, a clean pool, and a parking lot. J.B. is def no frills. The bathrooms, well...my bathroom...was god-awful; it resembled a bathroom at a truck stop...small sink, toilet, and a janky shower, which for the first evening did not run hot water. (That had to fixed on the second day.) The hotel is mostly quiet during the day, but became progressively noisier as the evening wore on. First, it was the schmaltzy live music from the restaurant next door (I actually heard a heartfelt cover of "Let It Be" followed immediately by a heartfelt cover of "My Way". I'm not joking.) Then, it was up to the Australian doofus next door to blare episodes of SVU into the midnight. (When he opened his door to hear my complaint, he's genuinely lucky I didn't punch him in the face.) Anyway, by the last night, I was...ready to leave. A couple of recommendations for the hotel proprietors (if they read this): soundproof the rooms, renovate the bathrooms COMPLETELY, and put a fresh coat of paint on the interior walls. Doing these simple things will bring your place much more success!
