Alila Dong'ao Island Zhuhai

Alila means surprise. From the moment we checked in, we were constantly surprised. It is a very suitable hotel for a relaxing vacation. The environment is impeccable, especially the butler Brian, whose service was really good and made us feel powerful throughout the journey. The food at Haitang Restaurant is also very good. We had dinner at Haitang and also felt the meticulous service. The hotel also has many handmade salons, which are very fun. The nightfall ceremony was started by Brian. It was a great stay.

Unlike the online reports of lengthy check-in times and lack of service, there were plenty of people available as soon as we got off the bus. The staff were all young and, while certainly inexperienced, were enthusiastic and welcoming. Overall, the experience was positive. It was raining heavily when we arrived, and the welcome tea, ginger tea, was perfectly timed. The hotel facilities were excellent. While the lobby is small, which can be a distraction when crowded, the design is truly beautiful. The room was spacious and, in keeping with the surroundings, gave it a resort-like feel. I was there to celebrate my birthday and was fortunate to receive a room upgrade, a birthday cake, and some small decorations. I was very satisfied with all three meals, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and was able to participate in all the hotel activities. I hope the service and cleanliness will continue to improve. My only complaint was the inclement weather that day. The boat trip was extremely rough, and the waves were huge. Perhaps due to the weather, I noticed the ceiling in the public areas was leaking, making the whole place very wet. I hope the hotel can improve this.
