The campsite's service was warm and attentive. It was already dark when we arrived at the Tengger Desert Visitor Center. We contacted the campsite manager 20 minutes early, and the driver picked us up in an off-road vehicle. We arrived just in time for the 8:50 pm bonfire party, which was a wonderful atmosphere, complete with music and fireworks. The children were delighted. Although the cloudy weather prevented us from seeing the stars, which was a slight disappointment, the tent was still cool, and we listened to the gentle raindrops hitting the tent, enjoying the desert night. The public restrooms and showers were clean, but you should bring your own towels and sand shoes or Crocs. The next morning at 7:30 am, a teacher took the children on an hour-long desert hike, teaching them how to plant straw grids and search for small animals. However, the weather was bad, so we didn't see any geckos, only small beetles. We returned to the campsite for breakfast, which consisted of small meat buns, corn, steamed buns, mixed cucumbers, porridge, and soy milk. The owner was very welcoming. Any other activities you'd like can be booked at the campsite, and the prices are the same as at the visitor center. We rested for a while at the campsite, and the children enjoyed sandboarding. Although there is no blue sky and yellow sand, it is not hot at all to play in the sand on a cloudy day. You can also sit on the sand ridge and look into the distance.

I stayed at Camp No. 66 for two nights. I was very happy and satisfied. I arrived at around 9 pm on the first day. The camp arranged a taxi to pick up the car at Zhongweinan High-speed Railway Station. It took 40 minutes to drive to the desert parking lot on the right and change to the camp off-road vehicle. Arrive at the camp, settle in, eat scrambled eggs with green onion, spicy and sour potato shreds, and participate in the bonfire party at 10:30. The atmosphere is very lively. There are fireworks, tug-of-war, and idiom solitaire activities. The children have a great time, and the adults We also had a lot of fun. We were still watching stars and sandboarding on the sand slope after 10 o'clock in the evening. The evening breeze was cool and comfortable. I went to participate in the stargazing activity at 11:30 in the evening. The teacher's explanation was lively and interesting, and I also took photos of the Milky Way. After breakfast the next day, I listened to the landlady’s suggestion to go to Shapotou first, and then come back in the afternoon to play projects in the Tengger Desert. I bought a package ticket and tried all the projects. In the evening, the four of us had a large plate of chicken and melon. On the third day, we went sandboarding and swinging in the camp. We had mutton fried with green onions, shredded potatoes and watermelon for lunch. After dinner, we took the camp car to the parking lot. The boss lady arranged a taxi in advance to take us to Zhongwei South Station and return home. Home. All in all, I came here happy and returned satisfied. Unfortunately, time was limited and I did not go across the Five Lakes. The children did not participate in the stargazing activities. The clouds covered the stars the next day. I can only make up for it next time. I had a lot of fun in the camp, lived in peace of mind, ate comfortably, and had easy transportation. I will stay at No. 66 next time I come back.
