Hotels in Xingzhong Plaza/Sunwenxi Road, Zhongshan

Even after a month, I'm still incredibly touched by the experience. An unexpected turn of events has made this my second home ever since. Having just arrived in an unfamiliar city, that night I stumbled into the hotel lobby, reeking of alcohol after a work dinner. Just as I was about to collapse, a kind front desk attendant quickly caught me, guided me to the front desk, and made me a cup of honey water. After I finished it, he helped me back to my room, laid me down, took off my shoes, and tucked me into bed. He kept reassuring me that the phone was right next to me and I could call the front desk anytime if I needed anything. I was still somewhat coherent then. A little while later, he came up to check on me again, and that's when I finally drifted off to sleep. Later that night, I suddenly felt incredibly nauseous. After throwing up in the restroom, I felt utterly miserable and completely drained of energy. That's when I called the front desk. The next thing I knew, I woke up in the hospital. Two hotel staff members had rushed there in the early morning hours and stayed by my side. When I woke up again in the morning, a different staff member was looking after me in the ward, and they even brought me hot porridge from the hotel. I'm truly grateful for their support; they stayed with me all the way until I was discharged from the hospital. From now on, Atour will always be my first choice for any business trip. I eagerly await my next stay!

My experience to Sheraton this time starts from the moment upon my arrival to the location. Door man was helpful and offered help if there's any need for luggage transfer. Check-in process was smooth and efficient. The check-in representative (William) was truly professional and greet me as a returned customer to Sheraton, which I feel honor for being accepted and welcomed. On the other hand, he realized I am a frequent biz traveller around the world. He introduced various hotel facilities professionally to relate my business opportunity, which is very smart of him. He also grades the buffet breakfast is well suitable for family and biz related occasions. It was another wonderful experience to stay in Sheraton together with my family.

Very convenient for drivers, and parking vouchers were provided. The host was incredibly responsive. We had no issues with the keypad lock, water heater, or any other appliances. The room was completely free of any strange odors. The elevator worked well and there was hardly any waiting time. It was also very convenient for getting around anywhere. The room looked exactly like the photos!

The hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of the city center, right next to Xingzhong Square. This means you have dining, shopping, and entertainment (like movies) all within easy reach. Landmark attractions such as Sunwen West Road Pedestrian Street and Qijiang Park are also just a short walk away, making it super convenient for exploring. The breakfast had a great variety and tasted delicious, a perfect start to an energetic day.

There were so many rooms vacant but were allocated the one at the very far end. The shower and toilet in the next room was too noisy. The wall seemed to be non existent. Noise from the exit gate of the car park in the early morning.

When I checked in around 23:00 that night, there was no one at the main entrance lobby, and all the lights were off, giving us the initial impression that the hotel was closed. The front desk is located at the back of the main entrance. The staff members are well-mannered. Particularly, the breakfast staff provided excellent service, were proactive, and maintained a welcoming atmosphere. The food was good overall, and my experience was positive, except for the lighting arrangement at night. I would visit it again.

The beds are very comfortable and there were lots of options at the breakfast. My only complaint is the pool is closes for several hours at 11am! Relaxing by the pool in the afternoon is the main reason I booked this hotel, so I was definitely disappointed.

The environment is very good, the balcony is very comfortable, the room is large, and the sleep is comfortable. The location is convenient, and the underground free garage will not make the car dirty. The service is professional, the breakfast is vegetarian, but there are many varieties and the taste is good. The restaurant on the third floor is also great.

The first time I stayed in this hotel, I chose it on Ctrip. It was indeed the best choice. The hotel is in a good location. Not far to the west is Zhongshan Bus Terminal, and there are three bus stations to Shenzhen/Zhuhai/Hong Kong to the east. Qijiang Cultural Tourism City and Sun Yat-sen Pedestrian Street are nearby. This hotel is my favorite traditional formal hotel building. The floors and rooms are thickly separated, and the sound insulation is very good. The whole stay is quiet and comfortable, which is incomparable to the current gypsum board partition apartment hotels. The floor-to-ceiling glass in the room has plenty of light, the air conditioner works well, and the air supply is clean. The front desk reception is polite, the check-in and check-out are fast, and the housing deposit is also accepted in cash. The carpet/sheets/quilt cover/pillow in the room are very clean, and the room attendant replenishes tea bags and changes towels every afternoon with a warm and in-place attitude. A plus is that there is a Cantonese tea evening on the second floor of the hotel, and Zhongshan specialty dim sum is tasted.

We were satisfied with our stay. Rooms were quiet and clean. The staff were wonderful: the ladies who cleaned the rooms were friendly and thorough. (Special mention to 阿香!), and the staff at reception were helpful and friendly. The location was also ideal, just a short walk from the Yangyang bus stop from Zhuhai, and close to Qijiang Park and the bridge over to the Sunwen pedestrian street. Many eateries nearby. Highly recommend 粥天下 across the street- good food at good prices and nice staff. The bakery next door has yummy egg tarts…Two thumbs up for this hotel.
